This was our first time petsitting for someone else and seeing it from "the other side" as we have had petsitters come to look after our own pets for many years including via THS since we joined last year. We had wanted to go back to the Peak District for some time and so Kathy's house provided an ideal opportunity to go there with the added bonus of the companionship of some pets and particularly dogs. Kathy and Mike were very welcoming and helpful from the first time we were in contact with them and during our initial video call and all subsequent communications before and during our stay. We managed a brief handover on the first day of the trip and remained in contact during our stay. Their house is well located for walks, outings to various outdoor activities, is very close to some shops and has ample space for a family of four. It has two large tv screens, excellent WiFi and two Xboxes and we were pleased to be able to use their Netflix account which allowed great choice particularly for two teenagers. The dogs were very friendly with us and we enjoyed our longer walks with Herbie the collie (although as we had been warned, he can be reactive to other dogs). Unfortunately one of the dogs became unwell towards the end of the week and so we kept Kathy informed about him. But thankfully it was not too serious and he was OK by the time they came home. We have already talked about going back there sometime and would recommend Kathy's house to other potential sitters.
Sally was extremely hospitable and welcoming and her home is beautiful and has everything you would need. Angus is a friendly and energetic dog who loves going for walks and fetching the ball. He is really easy to walk and has a beautiful nature about him. Ash is a laid-back cat who just does his own thing. I recommend this property if you're looking for somewhere close to the CBD, as you will not be disappointed.
I recently had the pleasure of pet sitting for Alessia’s two adorable cats, and it was truly a fantastic experience! The cats were friendly, well-behaved, and a joy to be around. Alessia provided detailed instructions and information, which made it easy for me to provide thorough care. The apartment was cozy, comfortable and well-equipped for the pet's needs. Throughout my time as a sitter, the owner maintained excellent communication, addressing any questions or concerns promptly. Overall, this pet sitting experience was delightful! Amazing sit! Jeff and Sarah are great people with awesome pets that are easy to care for. Bruce is such a lovable cat with a great personality and temperament. He loves to cuddle on the couch with humans and with Elsie occasionally. Elsie is a well behaved and sweet dog that welcomes pets, walks, and cuddling with Bruce ☺️ Their home is beautiful, while comfortable and functional with incredible views. The neighborhood has great beaches, restaurants, and easy access to public transportation. We very much enjoyed our time with Bruce and Elsie and would not hesitate to sit for Jeff and Sarah again in the future .
What an amazing exerperience! Sarah + Bret have the sweetest, most loving pup who I didn't want to leave! If you get the chance to house sit for them, do it! They have a stunning home, live in a great neighborhood and are less than half an hour from the beach and -10 minutes from downtown Charleston. Truly amazing stay and would come back to house sit for them any time.
I had a lovely sit with Nala in Oxford. Gemma was a fantastic host with a beautiful home and an easy reference book that answered any questions I had. Nala is a gorgeous senior girl who was very sweet - she loves a lap to sit on and pats. Well behaved but will let you know when she’s hungry :) I had a great time with her. Gemma’s home is very comfortable and an easy distance from Oxford centre - a great spot to explore all of the attractions this city has on offer. Jane has been walking our dog Rocky for a few years now and has always been very flexible and adaptable to our varied needs. Jane has looked after our 13 year old springer spaniel a few times he is still extremely lively but he copes well with the fabulous walks Jane takes him on. There is nobody else we would trust Daisy with when we go away other than with Jane, we get updates via messages and can see where she's been each day on the Facebook page surrounded by other dogs which she loves. Daisy flies through Jane's front door and truly makes herself right at home because she's so comfortable and happy there! Knowing your dog is happy and so well looked after is priceless and I would highly recommend to anybody.
Jane is so lovely. Her love for animals is apparent in everything she does and she always goes above and beyond to make sure our dog is well cared for. Luna loves her walks with Jane and it is so reassuring to know that she is in good hands. I have used Jane for the last 4 years to walk Archie, she was recommended by another user and I am so glad she did! Archie gets excited every time I mention her name let alone when she turns up to walk him. We also use Jane for boarding as I know he is being so well looked after & I can go away with no worries whatsoever! Claire did a great job of looking after our cats and providing us with daily updates, photos and videos. She was very attentive to their needs and even our nervous cat felt comfortable with her. We found Claire to be well organised, polite and reliable.

Great experience using Peak Pet Services - Claire took the time to understand our cat’s individual needs before we went away which really helped us feel at ease. Daily updates and photos were provided and the questions/messages exchanged demonstrated that Claire was truly invested in our cat’s welfare whilst we were away. Excellent pet sitting! Claire from Peak Pet Services is an absolute gem, we’re so happy we found her. When we’re away we know that our cat is well looked after, happy and fed. Claire is really intuitive with our boy, and will follow his lead when she visits - sometimes he wants to play, sometimes he just wants a cuddle. She sends regular updates and takes (great!) photos of him on the days she visits, which is reassuring, and she is extremely flexible and happy to suit our timings and needs. We wouldn’t know what to do without her!
Excellent transport and assistance provided by Michael for my first ever dog! He drove from Sheffield to Canterbury, stopping off at two service stations so my dog could exercise and make some mess! The car used was very smart and comfortable.
I have had the most amazing trip to pick my puppy stray up from Zante and drive all the way back to Yorkshire. My driver/courier, Norman was fantastic. The whole process went smoothly, safely and was a trip of a lifetime. They organised every last detail to ensure the dog and myself were comfortable and well looked after. I travelled with my dog from Sweden to Wales. They were very professional and organised and even remembered our names when we would call. No issues with booking etc. Were given plenty of information and contacted by the driver days before which was reassuring. He arrived in a branded van and clothes which reassured me (I am a young woman) and was very professional throughout. The van was clean and well equipped for transporting my dog and we took regular breaks around every 4 hours. Well worth the money and would definitely use c four paws again. Thanks/Diolch!
We had Milo collect from London on Sunday with two cages and a carry cage and lots of toys. Milo was perfectly happy and items were in good order. Collected on time and delivered on time. Excellent service and driver was very nice. Highly recommended for animal transport. Will definitely use again if the need arises. Good job thank you
Calagran Four Paws and my driver Will were absolutely amazing at handling our cross country transport for a long distance move. Having a rather large Staffy x Old Tyme, who had sadly had to be exempted due to her size, I was even terrified to take her on the road in anything other than proper transport. And with it being such a long way I wanted a safe long distance option also for all round safety and comfort. Our needs were catered for with the upmost care and Will was absolutely amazing with my nervousness and with my lovely girls nervy nature. I couldn't have been happier and I plan to travel with them again. I can highly recommend them.
I highly recommend this company. I just endured an incredibly stressful and long importation process into Europe and finally into the UK with my 3 med/large breed dogs. CFourPaws went above and beyond to help me logistically with things they really didn't have to and was outside of their services. In a medical emergency you were the first kennels we found after literally 100's of phone calls with spare capacity to take Casper while his mum had an emergency operation to remove a brain tumour. The 10x photo's you sent us showing him happy & thoroughly enjoying a run in the secure field were a huge relief to his dad & a massive boost to his mum's immediate recovery.
We recently used C Four Paws to transport our dog Adi from Glasgow to Heathrow for her trip home to Canada. David was a very kind and professional driver and got us to the Kennel at Heathrow on time in spite of some unavoidable traffic delays along the way. We’re back home with Adeline safe and sound and are very grateful for having used the services of your company and David for the first leg of our trip.
An absolute lifesaver when it came to transporting me and my cats from Dublin to Somerset. We have had Deborah walking our dog Daisy for nearly two years now. Daisy is a bit of a difficult dog, quite nervous when out and meeting other dogs. With Deborah we feel at ease as we know that she understands our dogs special needs and would never get her in any unsafe situation with other dogs. Plus Daisy loves her! Since moving to Derbyshire 18months ago, with no family close by to look after our beloved cocker spaniel, PetPals Buxton have been our saviour! In all that time they have taken our dog out 4 times a week and have never once let us down. Deborah & Jo both leave notes when needed, but mostly to tell us what a wonderful time the dogs have had which is also evident from the photos and videos posted on Facebook. But the proof in the pudding is the fact that each morning about 1/2hr before pick up time, Rolo jumps onto the window seat in the kitchen with his chin rested on the windowsill waiting patiently for the Petpals van to arrive....... then gets very excited! We honestly couldn't do without them. Totally trustworthy and definitely recommend.
Debs 'cat-sat' our Rosie for a week, and we were really impressed by her professionalism and flexibility - we changed our plans a couple of times at the last minute and she didn't bat an eyelid! She also went that extra mile, putting some flowers that were delivered whilst we were away in a jar and bringing our post in. Will definitely ask her to look after Rosie again, highly recommended.
We are absolutely delighted with the care and service we receive from Petpals Buxton. It is very reassuring to know that our much loved dog is in great hands, he is a large breed and nothing is too much trouble for them. They write comments in a book so we know what he has done with them that day, we can also add comments too 😊 and view videos of him playing with his dog friends. The last time I used this service for my cats I returned to empty water trays, a foul smelling sink full of water and wet cat food and a bath with an open bag of dirty cat litter in it. Not impressed at all plus the danger of dehydrated cats. Would not use again.

I was very pleased to see the arrangements Jo had made for my rabbit's recent stay. The pen was spacious with a number of activities to keep my bunny occupied. And there was an outdoor area in the daytime too. I was also impressed by the updates provided by Jo. I was nervous about leaving my rabbit with a new person but a combination of Jo's friendly professionalism and seeing the accommodation put me fully at ease. I'll look forward to the next occasion.
Booked our 2 bunnies in the superior accommodation over Easter this year, and what a lovely time they had! The views are amazing there, and they had lots of space indoor, and out, for them to run around. Very affordable luxury, and they were so well looked after, even had their toe nails clipped! We booked our working collie in for 8 nights whilst we went on holiday. Our girl is very very anxious and nervous of new people! But she was extremely well looked after and catered for whilst staying at Higher Brookhouse. We would 110% recommend here to anyone! We will also be using HB kennels again in the future. Excellent! The only kennel I can leave my dogs without worrying, they are happy to be left. Amazing location and paddock for them to be off lead and play. Food is included so one less thing to think about, very reasonably priced. The fact that one dog is reactive isn't an issue, she even manages to get along with the other dogs there.
My dog has the best time here. Tom and Sophie are amazing and the space available for the dogs is great. Great value for money and my dog is incredibly happy there! And incredibly tired when he gets home 😊 …
My dog Travis has just returned from his second stay with Sophie and Tom and the Just Dogs team. He has clearly been very well looked after. It was reassuring to have daily updates on Facebook with some fantastic photos which confirm how happy he was. I simply wouldn't leave him anywhere else.
Our 2 Frenchies went for the weekend and had the best time. Just Dogs were so attentive, asking detailed questions before to make sure the dogs felt at home whilst they were there. I felt so relaxed about leaving them. Videos were posted on Facebook so I could see them playing. A great experience.
The girls treat Lily like one of their own. It's amazing to see the care and attention they give to each of the dogs they look after. Lily comes home shattered everyday. We love Sophie and Katherine.

I was very nervous about leaving our Fox Red Lab (Eddie) when we went away for two weeks and did quite a bit of research. I needn’t had been worried. Eddie loved being with Francesca and her guests so much that I am not sure he wanted to come home. He has stayed there again in September. This is the only place I will allow him to board.
5 stars ✨ 100% recommend. My border collie Cooper has gone to Peak Boarding a few times when we've been on holiday. The facilities Francesca has for the dogs is practically a 5 star hotel. Cooper is in his absolute element being able to run around the private fields they own with his dog friends. He always happily goes off when dropping him there and returns happy too!
Paradise for dogs, my two always come back tired and happy with some lovely photos of them roaming around in the fields! I have complete trust in Peak Boarding, it will always be my first choice for dog sitting when we are away.

Honestly I can't recommend Peak Boardings enough. We have two dogs and Francesca makes sure each of their needs are met no matter what. The dogs settled in with no hesitation from day one and anyone who has dogs will know you can't make them like somewhere! My two dogs had a great time here. Nicolette is obviously a dog lover and really understands them. They both came home super happy, and she was so lovely with them. We recently drove near and they got so excited when they saw where we were. Definitely recommend Cosy Kennels if you’re looking for a home away from home for your fur babies.
Took my dog Saffy to cosy kennels while we were on holiday I was so anxious about sending her as she is so nervous of people .I needn’t of worried Nicollette was so kind and patient with Saffy . I had many videos sent of Saffy enjoying her many walks with the other dogs . I would have no hesitation in booking her back when we go away again.

I can’t say enough wonderful things about Doodlebells Doggy Day Care! From the moment I dropped off my pupper, it was clear this place is run by true dog lovers who genuinely care about every furry guest. My boy, is usually a little shy in new environments, but Jasmine made him feel right at home with her warm smiles and gentle care. The walks she takes the dogs on are nothing short of amazing – scenic trails and open fields where the pups can stretch their legs and enjoy nature. My pupper comes home happy and tired from all the fun adventures! One of my favorite parts is the photo updates Jasmine sends throughout the day. Seeing my dog having the time of his life brings me so much joy and peace of mind. The facilities are clean, well-organised, and filled with toys, cozy spots, and plenty of room for the dogs to play. Jasmine looked after our dog for the day whilst we were on holiday and took a trip to Alton Towers. Jasmine has a lovely manor about her, and I felt completely at ease leaving Rosie with her. Rosie was nervous at first, but Jasmine was patient with her and gave Rosie the time to settle. Rosie was incredibly happy and chilled when we picked her up. Thank you Jasmine ❤️
We left Pixel for the day with Jasmine while we went to Chatsworth. We had been worried about leaving him somewhere new but as soon as we met Jasmine we felt comfortable and happy to let him spend the day - which he did with great gusto! One tired and happy pup on collection. Thank you Jasmine, we would definitely recommend you and bring Pixel to you again next time we are in the area.
