We had a wonderful weekend at Camilla and Dan's place. Maya and Ida were super fun. Camilla sent us loads of useful links for places to go and we enjoyed her recommendations for brunch and a gallery. Would definitely recommend.
Kim was easy to communicate with and helpful, and the house is great and has all the amenities you could need. Lucy may be the sweetest dog I have ever met. I'd sit again any time.
Loch is such a sweet boy - we had an amazing time with him. Thanks to Mark & Rachel for the opportunity. Below is a detailed review : - Loch : super sweet, young and healthy labrador. He adopted us fairly quickly and showered us with a lot of love throughout the sit. He was not fussy at all (except for hugs and massages, haha), super easy to take care of. He followed us everywhere in the estate with his sweet eyes, cute toys and funny antics. He also slept independently in Mark's room allowing us super comfy nights. - The house : super comfortable house with a great bed, we had a wonderful and relaxing stay. Fully equipped kitchen. If you have a car, some great restaurants in the nearby villages. We enjoyed nice walks to the nearby village when it was sunny, but otherwise the property is large enough for Loch's daily walks. The weather was too cold for the pool but we really enjoyed the gym Mark & Rachel have set up. We were lucky to have some bright and sunny days despite autumn, allowing us to even take Loch out for a daylong walk which he really enjoyed. - The hosts : Mark was very welcoming to us and treated us like friends from the beginning. We really appreciated the Orthez train station pickup/drop as well as the big grocery shopping. We did not use the bike he offered due to the rainy weather but were content that the option was there if needed. We did not get a chance to meet Rachel as she was travelling but she was super nice in all our messaging interaction throughout the sit. We had some great conversations with Mark and also a glass of wine when he welcomed us at the sit. Overall, a truly 5-star sit if you love nature and calm. We would be really happy to apply again in the future. Thanks!
Olaf is a really sweet pup, very cuddly and and so well behaved. He was a joy to look after, there are two beautiful parks near Daniela’s flat, making the stay even more pleasant. Thanks so much Daniela, we had a wonderful time.
We had a wonderful time connecting with Angie (Lyla), caring for her home, and looking after Zuni and Belle. Her home was extremely cozy and comfortable, and the wood-burning stove came in handy on some chilly days and nights during our stay! We spent a lot of time exploring parks and trails nearby with Zuni - there are so many beautiful places to see. Zuni is a very sweet dog, so friendly and playful, and easy to take on walks. Belle would come out of her cozy sleeping spots to cuddle on the couch and spend time with us and Zuni, and it was very fun to see how much Zuni wanted to play with Belle, and how kindly Belle tolerated her eagerness. We fed the birds each morning and it was a pleasure seeing how many woodpeckers and jays liked to visit Angie's house! Angie was extremely thorough, communicative, and detailed in her descriptions of her home and pet care. We would return to care for Angie's sweet pets and her home in a heartbeat - it was such a wonderful experience. <3
Staying at Samantha and Pete's farmhouse was an absolute dream, they were so thorough in explaining everything and leaving us comfortable with the hot tub on, food essentials and a gorgeous room overlooking the paddocks to keep an eye on the animals. The ponies, goats and guinea pigs were no trouble and great fun feeding them everyday, and the dogs were amazing pets- so obedient, cuddly, loving and easy. Rufus the cat was very sweet too and we loved our cuddles with them all in the front room and walking the dogs on the beach. As our first house sit on here it couldn't have been better- thanks for trusting us and hope to see you and sit again one day. Best wishes, Rose and Nick
