Colleen was kind enough to invite us stay at her place the night before and even prepared a wonderful meal for us. The home and gated community were beautiful and very peaceful. There’s a great community center with pool and fitness center. We were able to do a few hikes in the area during our stay. Samish and Pahto were great and we had a lot of fun hanging out with them and going for walks. They did get a little excited when they saw other dogs but that wasn’t too big a deal. They are both very affectionate and had a lot of personality. They were easy to care for and it was really nice having an enclosed back yard for them to roam when they wanted. All in all a great stay that gave us a chance to explore the area and have a great place to stay. Thanks again Colleen!
Communication with Ruth was great right from when we applied for the sit. She always kept us up to date with travel plans and sent us a detailed welcome guide in advance. Ruth and Dave were very welcoming when we arrived at the house and made us feel settled straight away. Their home is very comfy and clean and close to town and supermarkets. We also enjoyed exploring the local area with lots to see and do. Cherry the cat is absolutely lovely. She enjoys her wanders outside in the back garden and sometimes around the front to check on the neighbours but she is never far from her favourite chair for a nap, especially if the sun is on it! We met Amber very briefly but she went on her holidays with Ruth and Dave this time. She was very friendly and looked lots of fun. Thank you for a lovely stay Ruth and Dave, we would definitely recommend this sit.
It was a joy sitting for Tori! Pippa warmed up to me very quickly and was very good with her commands and usual routine. The house was lovely and clean and had absolutely no issues. Would definitely recommend!
Lara and Phil were really welcoming hosts and made us feel comfortable as soon as we arrived. They kept in contact with us (despite the time difference) and answered any questions we had whilst we were there. The house is lovely and easily maintained and the two boys Ghost and Heath kept us entertained with their antics during our stay. We really enjoyed our sit here in York and would have no hesitation in recommending Lara and Phil to any future Housesitters.
We had a very comfortable stay at Kate and Jeremy’s beautiful home. Willa and Dilly are very well behaved and have excellent recall on walks, never straying too far ahead. They also gave us lovely cuddles on the sofa in the evenings. Moppet is one of the most affectionate cats I’ve ever encountered! Communication was great and everything was as described. Highly recommend this sit.
