This is the second house sitting for Irina and Russ. They are just the best. They are so kind and thoughtful. They take daily pictures of Roo and send them to me while traveling. I usually get to spend one evening with them prior to leaving which is simply wonderful. I look forward to having them back. HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND.
Aisha was a fantastic sitter. She was very detail oriented, caring, and tidy. She sent us daily updates and you could tell the cats were happy with her. Finally, she left the place in a great condition. We would host her again!
Baby Arya and Frankie are really cute dogs! They have a great bond and love to play together. They are always waiting for each other during their walks, and we absolutely adored being awakened by them in the mornings :) About the house: We read in previous reviews that Davesh offered to hire a cleaner if the sitter felt the house was not clean enough. From our past experiences with other sittings, we knew that owners typically made a little effort to ensure everything was clean before our arrival, so it was a bit surprising for us to find the house not as tidy as expected. We found it somewhat uncomfortable to have to ask him to hire a cleaner, but he said it was not a problem. After that, we became more comfortable with the space, although there were still areas, such as the silverware drawer and kitchen utensils, that were quite dirty and required us to clean them before use. Additionally, we didn't have any space in the fridge to store food. One of the reasons we do petsitting is to be able to cook at home (as hotels don’t have kitchens), and this was not possible as there were even pans with his food occupying the whole fridge. Despite the cleanliness issues, the apartment is perfect for a single/couple sitter for an extended stay, and the view from the house is amazing! The apartment has a nice, spacious table where you can work while enjoying the view, watching TV, or spending time with the lovely dogs. The location is great and is about a 15-minute walk to the nearest subway station on the G line. Davesh was easy to communicate with and tried to assist us whenever we needed help. Regarding Baby Frankie & Arya, unfortunately, during the first three days, we did not had leashes to walk them, because the leashes were broken before our arrival. This resulted in them having accidents inside the house throughout that time. Given that the apartment is relatively small, this became a significant inconvenience due to the smell and the constant need to manage it during our meals, cooking, and work calls. Additionally, the dogs have washable pads, which are environmentally friendly, but cleaning them results in dirt getting into the washing machine, which is also used for washing clothes, bath towels, bed linens, etc... We would friendly suggest Davesh having the cleaner hired already before the next sitters arrive, if he thinks the house may need one. We believe the next sitter should ensure too, that the house is clean before their arrival and that the dogs have leashes in perfect condition for use and stored in a place where they cannot chew on them again. We thank Davesh for trusting his babies and his home with us and we wish him all the best in his next travels!
We received a friendly and warm welcome at our arrival (personal and by a cosy fire place) and settled quickly into a clean, tidy and comfortable house; we were generously offered to use the complete space. The pile of firewood left for us to use was equally generous. Their dog, the two cats and two kunekune pigs were all well behaved and a pleasure to look after (the cat-and-dog-plays in particular were delightful to watch and a great entertainment). We enjoyed the pets and felt sad to say good bye. Both handovers at the start and the end of our sit were smooth. Altogether, a highly recommendable house sit for a lovely family. Thank you very much, Steph and Logan, for such a pleasant house sitting experience in your beautiful home!
Byron (Lewis) was a pleasure to work with. He was very organized with a manual of all the tasks and logistics to be taken care of while he was gone. He was always responsive while he was gone and went above, and beyond what I expected for a homeowner. His dogs Rolf and Stella were an absolute pleasure to take care of.
I highly recommend sitting for this lovely couple. Jen was very responsive and the apartment was immaculate and beautiful situated in the heart of my hometown San Francisco. Bruno and Davy have polar opposite personalities but both proved to be very loving and friendly super easy to take care of. Thanks again to this family for their hospitality and gorgeous cats!
We had an excellent sit! Robin's home is stunning and Maggie and Mulligan were amazing snuggle buddies! Sadly the wet weather meant the dogs didn't want to do much outside time, but they were very good about going out to potty and we had no accidents inside. We would gladly sit for them again.
This was an incredible sitting opportunity. The house is beautiful and in a quiet, safe neighborhood (great for walking!). Also a very nice fenced in backyard area. The instructions were very clear and thorough. We had everything we needed to take care of the family. Speaking of the family, these are the sweetest most well behaved pets you could every ask for. We just loved them and very much hope to have the pleasure of sitting with them again in the future.
