Teresa's house is lovely and is in a great area. She was helpful and easy to communicate with. The animals are also lovely; Annie does need a higher level of attention as she is older. Overall a good stay!
What a lovely home and neighborhood to stay in! Close to everything and peaceful as well. Addie is a beautiful, smart dog and we fell in love with her! She is a little shy at first, because she's 'sensitive' and missing her family, but then once she knows she's going to have a good time with you, she lights up. She's fantastic on-leash and off and very well behaved. We would be very happy to sit for Addie again!
Our experience with Tootsie at Mary's place was a truly wonderful one. Toots is a real treat, she was fond of us from the very beginning and, honestly, she's the softest cat we've ever known. She always knows what she wants and she'll let you know, so she's been very easy to care for. We had a lot of fun playing with her, as well as seeing her bolting through the courtyard off to adventure whenever we opened the door for her. Mary and David were lovely and let us stay a night in advance and have (a delicious!) dinner with them. They are very interesting and caring people and it was a real pleasure to get to know them a little before they went on holiday. It was a shame we had to leave a few hours before their return. Mary was always extremely responsive and very helpful whenever we were in doubt, and even left us a few thoughtful treats, including not one, but two boxes of her tasty homemade biscuits. Her house is very easy to navigate, as well as very comfortable to stay in, so we felt right at home. We already miss Tootsie and would go back to care for her in a heartbeat!
Where do I begin? I LOVED this sit! Trixie started off shy but very quickly became my little bestie. She had so many little quirks that made you love hanging out with her that much more! We had a great time together and had a lot of fun days out just exploring the area. Kara was fantastic - even with a time difference - she always responded quickly and helped anyway she could. Her friends live in the same building and would fill in if anything came up when Kara would be asleep due to the time difference. They welcomed me with open arms socially as well and made me feel super comfortable! Then the location: You really couldn't get better than this. Your 5 seconds walk from Bayside and about a minute to the other side at Mission Beach. If you love the beach, this is perfect. I couldn't have loved this sit more - I'll really miss Trixie and can't wait to hopefully sit with her again!
It was an absolute pleasure to sit for Kyra and Kevin's two Great Dane pups, Genny and Maxwell. Not only were they gorgeous animals, they were loving, affectionate, playful, and full of personality. We felt instantly at ease with them and slipped into a very comfortable routine from the minute we arrived. Saying goodbye to them was the hardest part — truly! If you have a comfort level with large dogs, I would recommend spending time with Genny and Maxwell in a heartbeat. Kyra and Kevin were also wonderful, easy-going hosts who welcomed us into their beautiful home. We wish they lived closer because they are a couple we would love to be friends with!
I enjoyed this sit very much - lucky to have had perfect weather in June. Deborah and Jon gave me a thorough orientation before they left and Chester and Shayna were lovely cats that bonded within a few hours. The responsibilities were easy and the accommodations very comfortable. If you crave peace, quiet and mountains you would be lucky to be offered this sit.
