Jenny was the most ideal petsitter - she communicated with us consistently, she is a peaceful / calming / kindred spirit and she cared for our dogs and cat as if they were her own. Jenny knew exactly how to handle our old dog who has trauma-based anxiety and she took care of our other dog’s medical needs like a champ. She was so patient and super flexible when we had issues with our return flights. Most importantly, Jenny filled our home with her loving energy - we came back to an absolutely spotless place and very happy pets. What a wonderful house/pet sit! I had a delightful experience house sitting for Emily and her family. The entire family was warm and inviting when I arrived at the house. Within a few minutes of our interaction, they made me feel right at home. They also made sure I had everything I needed to be comfortable (including a wonderful array of snacks, as well as a very thorough guide regarding the home, responsibilities, and resources for my enjoyment within the city.) Emily was highly communicative throughout the entire time. The home itself was very comfortable, and I thoroughly enjoyed the ability to relax in their pool. Murphy & Gracie are two tremendously sweet and lovable dogs, although it did take about 2.5 days for us to find our rhythm together. At first, both dogs were nervous about interacting with a stranger and not yet comfortable with being pet or walked, (and Gracie had a very incessant, yet unaggressive, bark). However, after offering patience and calm reassurance, the three of us became a loving, inseparable gang! Once they get comfortable with you, they won’t want to leave your side, and you’ll want to give them belly rubs and treats all the time. They are both very easy going when on walks or at the dog park and will respond to you once you call their name. I am grateful to have had this opportunity and would definitely be willing to sit again if our schedules align!
Penny is an absolute delight to stay with. She was a great walking buddy and work from home coworker :). Her parents Geoff and Nancy are so sweet and kind and very fun to chat with! Their hospitality is unmatched with fresh treats and all the bathroom necessities. And they have a great workout room upstairs. I would LOVE to sit for them again!!
We loved looking after Jeffrey, Josephine and Petra. They are all such wonderful characters and very friendly! Petra always greeted us with 'Good Mornimg' and made us laugh with her many impressions! And Jeffrey and Josephine were very friendly. It was a real privilege staying with them and in such a lovely location! We even managed to take a few pictures of the local badger 😁. We can highly recommend this sit. Valerie and Robert were great and made us both feel very welcome. Excellent instructions and guidance too.
Sitting for Ruby was lovely. Ruby enjoys snoozing in different spots around the house as well as exploring outside, primarily on the beautiful garden fence and in the next door garden. She has a good routine and prefers to keep herself to herself with visitors, coming and going as she needs. Laura’s house is stunning. She has recently developed it and there is a huge airy kitchen living area as well as a cosy front room to relax in. There is also a desk and ergo chair which is great for working from home. Communication with Laura was really easy and she gave us a great in-person intro and detailed welcome guide before the sit. The local area is great too with a quick connection to Waterloo. We’d definitely recommend this sit and hope to see Ruby again soon!
We absolutely loved our stay with Eva, Demi and Kitty! Matthew and Naomi were really communicative and welcoming. They gave recommendations for good walks around the area and were very clear on how best to look after the gang. Eva is a fun, independent girl who also loves a snuggle, but on her own terms! Demi is such a loving, cuddly pup who wants to just be with you, whatever youre doing. And we won't forget the gorgeous Kitty, who took a day or so to warm up to us but once she did we discovered she loves a good hair brush! Would recommend this stay to anyone - we really enjoyed our weekend with them. Thank you!
