Me and my partner Fergus had a wonderful time looking after Ozzie & Barney in Balham. Justin & Julie were very communicative and made us feel extremely welcome in their gorgeous and very well equipped home. There was a lovely large garden with a seating area but unfortunately the great British summer let us down and we weren’t able to enjoy it to its full potential! The dogs were an absolute dream - Ozzie very friendly and playful, he’ll be your best pal from the get go. Barney a little older and a very pure soul - loves belly rubs and happiest when chilling with you on the sofa. Both have excellent recall and get on very well with other dogs and people. The house is also very close to Clapham Common which is great for walking the dogs. Would highly recommend and hope to have the pleasure of sitting for these good boys and this lovely family again some day!
This was my first sit, and it was a great experience. Communication was perfect and I knew what to expect and what to do.As a female solo traveler, I felt protected having Jack sleep next to me on the floor at nights, knowing he would bark if anything was fishy outdoors. The 3 musketeers (cats) didn’t need me, I think I needed them more lol I often wondered when they would appear, especially Butter, I assume he was up to orange cat things outside. The location of the home gave me ample time to explore the city and Victor and Claire were flexible and accommodating hosts. Also? The decor all over the home, loved!! I always found something new to see that I hadn’t seen before , really cool and up my alley!
Jon and Hannah are great hosts and made us feel welcome in their lovely house as soon as we arrived. They were kind enough to make dinner for us and went through everything we were likely to need to know for the sit. Their dogs, Lily and Ted are very easy to look after and, as other sitters have observed, on walks they are fantastic off the lead as they never stray too far. Wotton has most of the shops and watering holes you'll need and the surrounding area is festooned with great walks at the edge of the Cotswolds. During our stay it was wild garlic season so, after foraging in the woods, we made some scones in the well appointed kitchen. Overall, a lovely week in a lovely house.
Franke is an absolute delight! He made every minute of my stay a real pleasure, so much so that leaving him was quite a bind. Playful, full of affection and massively responsive! The house is light, airy and super comfortable. Adeline is a genuinely warm and friendly host: an easygoing, supportive and clear communicator who makes you feel at home from the first moment. The area has a really strong sense of local community, crammed with interesting, independent shops, cafés, bars and restaurants. The delightful Roundwood Park is close by too, and well worth a few visits. The house is served by an abundance of extensive bus services as well as London Overground, the Jubilee Line and National Rail (Willesden Junction is a 10-12 minute walk or short bus ride away.) Leaving was quite a wrench!
Deepa is the coolest host and her pets are a dream come true! All went super smoothly and happy! Would always come back here!
This was a great house sit. I had a wonderful time in Richard and Judith's beautiful house which is in a quiet location in a village about a mile from the nearest beach and harbour at Hope Cove. The local area is beautiful and there's Iots to do and explore nearby and in fact you don't have to travel far at all to fill a week. There are walks on country lanes you can get to on foot from the house or you can drive a few miles to get to another lovely beach or to explore the inland countryside. I thoroughly enjoyed looking after Frankie, who is a very sweet dog. She was always well tempered with other dogs and humans and the only thing that got her excited was the idea of chasing squirrels. I allowed her off the lead on the beaches and she never strayed too far. Richard and Judith were very welcoming and I had a lovely evening meal at their house the night before the sit. I highly recommend this sit and would happily return.
