Such a lovely sit in Leiden. Friendly family, comfortable home, great location, and excellent dog company. Mikey is a gentle giant of a dog who is friendly and calm - he loves his outings to the dog park, chasing sticks, and adores a good swim in the nearby lake. He walks well both on and off lead, and behaves beautifully when in cafes. His friendly human family communicated well with me throughout, providing a very useful video tour in advance of my sit, and were very hospitable. Leiden is a gorgeous little city, with the town centre easily reachable in 10 minutes by bus or 30 - 40 minutes by foot. I really enjoyed my short sit and would very happily return both to Leiden and to look after Mikey and his home again.
I've been taking care of houses and animals for many years, but this is the first time I've done it formally in an app like this, and all I can say is that it's been amazing. Crystal and Waldo were from the start very friendly and relaxed, they gave me a lot of confidence. We arranged a video call to get to know each other and organize my trip. When I arrived in Puerto Varas, Waldo was waiting for me to take me home and show me everything I needed to know about dogs. Crystal was waiting for us with a delicious breakfast where we could share some time before they left on their trip. During the stay everything was excellent, I was able to rest, walk, work, play sports and eat very well. About the animals, Chapo is a very dominant dog but at the same time very tender, every time he went out to the yard he came closer to me to be petted. The girls, Sazu and Mali were very affectionate and calm, they wanted to be petted all the time. Mali was inappetent some days and I contacted them quickly to know what to do and we were able to solve it together. During the trip, Crystal and Waldo were always very attentive to how I was doing, if I was missing or needed anything. When they returned from their trip we were able to share a nice moment before saying goodbye, and talking we realized that we have many things in common and that a nice friendship could be born. They have left me invited to visit them again whenever I want! It was very exciting. They are really lovely and I am sure I will come back! Thank you very much for your kindness and affection, for trusting me to take care of your animals that you love so much and of your home. And thank you for leaving the house with so much food for my consumption. I highly recommend this experience with this wonderful and loving family, because you will surely gain a couple of friends. Thank you guys for everything!
I loved my time with Luna. She's an incredibly sweet girl who just wants to be close. The nearby walking trails were a great way to spend time with her. Roger and Jezika were also fantastic. They were down to earth, clear in their communication, and deeply hospitable. Their home is wonderful. It's calm, interesting, and well light. The remoteness also created a sense of being on retreat. I am grateful for such an excellent experience all around!
Wonderful kitties Joker and Gotham. So much personality. We had a wonderful time with them. Andrea is a gracious hostess with a lovely home. She went above and beyond. We would sit again anytime.
Shirley was a dream, and we had a lovely few walks in the meadows in the sunshine and drizzle. Louise is very easy to chat to, and this for me was a lovely little break over the bank holiday (to escape a family how we are packing up!) I look forward to returning to beautiful wisteria and gorgeous surroundings. I drank lots of tea and watched TV and read my book, and felt at home. It was lovely
It was a really nice experience taking care of Katy and Lucio, they are super sweet and easy going. The location of the house is great and the balcony is beatiful with a lot of quiet to relax. Vanessa explained everything and it was super easy to communicate with her
