Erin was easy to work with and responsive for coordinating and even flexible with timing. She was able to walk the dogs and care for them on the hot days. I appreciated how clean and tidy she was. Would hire her again without hesitation!

Jo
We feel really privileged to have been offered this sit as Jo and Graham made us most welcome to their beautiful home which is a converted Mill in Yorkshire. The old Mill Wheel is incorporated into the house and adds so much character to an already sympathetically restored conversion.
Communication from the start was excellent and the accommodation was comfortable and very spacious.
Their dog Jeff is a fabulous young working Cocker with such a fabulous loving nature and he is very accepting of any amount of affection and especially belly rubs. His recall is excellent and he is well behaved and loves human company. We took him to the beach and let him run about and he is generally very friendly and playful with other dogs.

When going out for an evening drink his favourite haunt was the Green Dragon Local Pub, when not too busy.

There is such a lot to see and do in this area which is in easy reach for York, Harrogate, Rippon for history, or a bit of retail therapy with plenty coffee shops & restaurants. For walkers and outside activities there is Leyburn, Aysgarth Falls, Hawes, Brimham Rocks, Fountains Abbey, Stump Cross Caverns just to mention a few.

We would certainly recommend this sit to any future sitters.

Ella
Ella and her family are amazing.
Banjo and Byron are great and lovely boys :)
Let them for a walk is a pleassure. They are well trained.
Whinnie and Wilfred are most independant.
Hassocks, the place where they live, is a paradise. There are a lot of hills and fields to visit and walk.

Corinne makes a lovely host and Coco & Bob were a delight to look after.
I really enjoyed my stay in Oxford with the city centre being a short drive away as well as some surrounding countryside walks.

I felt very welcome in Corinne’s home and look forward to staying again!

Marilyn
Better late than never. Profound apologies all the same for taking so long to do this.

When I applied to sit for Marilyn and Jon, I desperately wanted to explore a new place but was clueless about Lavenham. Thankfully Marilyn was decisive in confirming and the sit turned out to be a jewel in more ways than one. It’s one of those sits that’s difficult to adequately quantify in a sit feedback but I will do my utmost.

I have been house/petsitting for 4 years now and have been blessed with many wonderful sits. But like everything in life, some things you enjoy more than others. And this was one of those instances where you feel blessed beyond words.

Both Marilyn and Jon are exceptional hosts - kind, considerate, very helpful, flexible and fun to get to know. We hit it off from the very start which always helps. You will love their wonderful sense of humour which made the daily updates and exchanges such a joy . Marilyn is quick and witty.

Their home is located in a magical historical spot and feels as if you’re transported back in time. I was there over Christmas and with the Christmas lights it was picture perfect and as Jon & Marilyn drove me around for a personal tour. It took my breath away. Simply magical and a lovely surprise.

Whether it’s on a lovely sunny day when the preserved Tudor houses are are bathed in glorious sunshine or even on a wet drizzly day, it was just magical in every way ….as if you’re on a movie set.

Icing on the cake – her ladyship mademoiselle Flamme . The absolute love of both Marilyn and Jon. It’s easy to see why. Thankfully we bonded and eventually got on famously. Flamme’s such a character. I’m not sure who had more fun but I was only too happy to be Flamme’s slave . Such a cheeky charmer . Her expressions and antics are both priceless and funny at the same time and I found myself peeling in laughter. Honestly Flamme’s just such a character. She’s THE Boss. Don’t forget that! Knows what she wants and very quickly “trained” me .

She’s just so lovable and very easy to care for as long as you get it right. You can’t bribe Flamme - she’s no pushover.

If it isn’t already obvious, this is a cat lovers sit through and through. Lovely homeowners. Friendly neighbours. Magical village full of history seated in tranquil surroundings of natural beauty.

You will have everything you need. The high street is a short 10 minute walk. If you don’t drive, buses run regularly to neighboring villages.

The house captures the very essence of Marilyn and Jon’s lives . . The photo and and kitty memorabilia speak volumes of their love for family and cats.

Marilyn and Jon are super organised. I was spoilt for choice on tips of what to do, places to go complete with brochures and maps. Both devoted time to show me the routes to the high street, bus stop locations , meet their immediate neighbors and all of this made all the difference. I took the bus to Bury which is absolutely a must visit place. The combination of Bury and Lavenham are perfect if you do this sit.

I can’t thank Marilyn and Jon enough for being such gracious exemplary hosts. It truly was a privilege sitting for you and a joy getting to know you. Needless to say I thoroughly enjoyed sitting Flamme for you and recommend this sit highly and would certainly sit for you again and again if you’d have me. Virtual hugs and kisses to all 3.

TARA
This was the perfect sit! We loved looking after Harry, shelby and toots who are all very lovable dogs!!! Great walkers on the leads, although Harry sometimes isn’t always as keen for a walk with strangers. Harry loves a good run around in the garden though! They’re in a great routine, and it’s very easy to follow. Their favourite thing is to snuggle up with yous on the sofa at night, you’ll hear lots of happy grumbles from them.

Tara is so helpful too, she included a welcome pack for us when we arrived and explained everything. We felt comfortable in her home and with the dogs. Her home is situated in Coleraine, which is near stunning beaches and walks and great restaurants. Her house itself was very comfortable and spotless. We would recommend this sit to other housesitters!
