We had a very enjoyable and peaceful time at Martin & Lorriane's beautiful home with all their pets. They are very kind & welcoming people with a love of looking after rescued animals. The dogs may get nervous at first and 2 will want to sleep nearby where you are but after a couple days they will relax more :) All sweet animals with totally different personalities ( Especially Colin the cockerel!
Jacky, Dave, and all the dogs are wonderful. Jacky and Dave greeted me with open arms and a friendly, warm attitude. They have a lovely home in the countryside just minutes from Slovenia. It was a great place to wake up and enjoy a cup of coffee in the morning or a glass of wine in the evening. The room I was provided was clean, with a very comfortable bed. If you work remotely, they have fantastic internet. They have a great setup for the dogs. Although there are many their home and their routine are set up for ease for both dogs and sitters. I did this sit as a solo female traveler, so don’t let the number of dogs hesitate you from doing a sit for them. They are so sweet, friendly, and love to cuddle. While away, they also connected me with local friends who were all wonderful and welcoming. I would easily sit for them again. If you are looking for lots of puppy love in a relaxing, laid-back environment, I highly recommend sitting for them.
Anne and Steve were wonderful hosts. We stayed overnight before, and at the end of our sit and enjoyed their company and hospitality enormously. Ella and Lotti are lovely dogs, friendly and obedient and we enjoyed some lovely walks in the Wiltshire countryside with them. A really enjoyable week!
This place was awesome! Derek and Paige are super easy to talk to, and their house is just gorgeous! Holly and Rocky are the sweetest dogs ever! Holly's a senior dog who loves to cuddle, and Rocky's a little more energetic and playful. We're definitely gonna try to see them again soon.
I loved this sit. Judy had everything nicely organized and kindly showed me the neighborhood and where the pups liked to walk. The neighbors were all friendly and everyone knows the pups! They love their walks. The main house is undergoing a major restoration, but work was paused while I was there. The studio is large, and has everything you need. Full sized refrigerator, microwave, cooktop, washer/dryer and excellent wifi and large TV. Very comfy bed for you and the pups! Easy to keep tidy and the pups love to play in the yard. They don't leave the grounds unless leashed so I felt comfortable having them off leash in the back yard with me there and playing ball or just watching the boats go by. They are pure bundles of love. Fiona is a rescue outside kitty who dearly wants to be an inside kitty. She gets along fine with the dogs and will await her breakfast and dinner with great anticipation! You are a short walk to Butler Beach which is a delight...large flat beach perfect for walking especially at low tide. Leashed dogs are allowed but sadly the pups LOVE to walk the path TO the beach but want no part of actually walking on sand lol. So I did my daily beach walks alone but enjoyed every minute! You can also drive a very short distance to Butler Beach (use the access road directly opposite the Fire Station) for free parking and access to restrooms and outside shower. I had a wonderful time here and will hopefully be coming back often. Highly recommended!
So much to love about Flipper: he’s like a cozy stuffed animal…very chill and comforting and has zero reaction to UPS, Amazon, the pool guys, or the landscapers, which was very refreshing. The only time I heard him semi-bark was when he was sleeping. He’s super sweet and agreeable, undemanding and easy to please. He likes his little toys thrown once or twice, then he cuddles up with them or cutely lies on his back with a toy in his mouth. He's such a pleasant companion and truly a treat in so many ways. Due to the crazy-hot Palm Springs pavement, he opted for two daily walks, even though I offered afternoon options just in case. He likes a very leisurely walk with lots of stops to sniff and gaze at the world around him. Skyler was great with communication and is very easygoing. The guest room is absolutely wonderful, and the rest of the house—including the lovely pool--is awesome and very clean, just as pictured. It’s in a development that has an urban feel but a spectacular mountain view and lots of hummingbirds, the best of both worlds. What a great place to walk a dog! I'd happily sit for Flipper again.
