Wonderful experience with PetSitter Portland!! Our senior pup was well cared for while we were out of town. Great communication!! Pictures were sent and a description of how each visit went was relayed as soon as they were done. I could recommend Joe, Janice and Priscilla anytime!! Each one was very sweet and patient with our girl. It was a great experience from the time I inquired about their services, the meet and greet and set up for care. They have a great app that allows you to easily schedule, communicate, request extra services such as setting out the recycle and watering plants if needed. PetSitter Portland was great to work with and took wonderful care of our cat, Mochi. If you have questions they are quick to respond. It was a relief to know she was being well cared for while we were away. The journal entry and pictures they provide after each visit was so nice to receive. I am relieved to know I have someone to call when we will be gone.

Joe and his team are amazing! We were really worried when our usual cat sitter was not available and were apprehensive about someone else watching our kitty Luna while we were away. I saw the great reviews and looked at the website and decided I would give it a shot. I am so glad I did! Shortly after making my account, Joe gave me a call to introduce himself, talked to me about his services, and gave me a run down of how everything works. This made the experience a lot more personable and I liked that we could simply call him if we had questions or concerns about the process. We scheduled a meet and greet so we could see if this would be a good fit and everything went well. While we were away, we got lots of photo and written updates about each visit. Joe spent a lot of quality time with Luna and followed her complex feeding instructions. He always made sure to play with her and gave her lots of love. She’s usually a little timid and we were pleasantly surprised by how quickly she warmed up to him. We have now used his services for two separate weekends and everything has gone great. I had an amazing experience working with Joe and his team! I contacted them last minute after another sitter plan fell through just days before my trip. I was nervous to leave my two dogs with someone I didn’t know, but from the beginning, Joe was extremely thorough, walked me through the process, and answered all of my questions with detail. Once we went away, he sent very frequent and thorough updates which were so reassuring. Joe went above and beyond to make sure my two dogs were comfortable and kept up with their regular routines while we were away. The experience exceeded my expectations and I will definitely be working with him again/would recommend!

Petsitter Portland is awesome! Professional, safe, reliable, kind, efficient, great communication and fun are just a few words to describe Joseph. He walks my dog daily during the week and Toby (my goldendoodle) loves Joseph. I feel safe leaving my dog and cat in his care. Joseph provides detailed descriptions of walks with multiple pictures. For my cat he provides detailed description of the visits and great pictures. Joseph has been caring for my fur babies for the past 9 months and I am so thankful to have found him. I have never left a review on a business before, but this business deserves the 5 stars. I recently moved into an apartment and as a young woman who works long hours with a varying schedule, I needed to find a reliable and safe solution to take my dog out for potty/walk breaks while I’m at work. The team of people who are on this crew are all very kind and great with Sammy (my 11 year old dog). They are attentive, reliable, communicative, and kind. It can feel intimidating as a young woman to let people into your space and care for your animal but i immediately felt ease when i had the opportunity to meet a few members of the crew. They utilize an app that allows for easy scheduling, and messaging. I receive photos and journals after each visit that reassures me that Sammy is well cared for. I highly recommend this company and crew if you are looking for a dog walking/ animal care service. A huge thank you to Joseph, Janice and Alana for all the support you’ve given me and most importantly, Sammy!

We recently used Pet Sitter Portland for round the clock care for our two dogs and they hit it out of the park. The website/app is great and easy for setting the schedule and seeing that the requested service occurs. The progress reports and tons of photos, cute and quirky, give real time updates. Joseph and his team were attentive and brought comfort when we were far afield (and leaving the dogs behind for the first time since Covid!). The folks at PetSitter Portland took excellent care of our dog while we were out of town! They clearly cared a lot about keeping her as comfortable as possible, and the communication & attention to detail were impressive. We're very glad to have found them :)

I love this company and I cannot reccomend them enough! Joe and his team are reliable and communicative, I never had to worry about my dog in their care. I've even had to book services at the last minute and they were flexible and fantastic. Don't delay in booking with them!

Third and last time to get my dog groomed here. I have a large adolescent sheepadoodle with large hair which I have clearly written on his profile. I scheduled a time that worked for me. The groomer accepted. I get there for the drop off she quotes me a price and tells me it'll be 3-4 hours and then rushes him in. After 4.5 hours I call the shop. And they tell me he'll be ready in 45 min. When I get there he's still not ready. I wait patiently for another 30 minutes. Receptionists could not care less. The girl gives me attitude saying she had to handle an older dog first and that she doesn't like being rushed and that my dog has behavior problems. You think a puppy is going to cooperate stuck in a room for 6 hours?! To boot she charged me $40 on top of the quoted price. In short, this groomer can't handle large dog, takes him anyway, tells me I'm rushing her for coming to pick him up at the time they told me, and charged me extra. Did I get a thanks, absolutely not. Zero courtesy, zero appreciation for my business. They were nice to all the customers I wonder why.

My pup and I love this place so much! They truly care for my baby boy and always treat him so well and make him feel so welcome! I use their boarding services more often than their grooming, but I am always extremely satisfied with everything they do. They’re extremely affordable compared to other boarding places in town, and I also feel like my pup is in great hands. When I miss my pup over an extended period of time and request photos of him, they always send me the cutest pictures and videos and let me know how he’s doing. The staff is always so sweet to me and my boy. I cannot recommend this place enough!

I initially had a good experience with Townhouse Pet Care. The first two times I brought my dog, Bean, everything went great, and I was happy with the service. Then we had to take a break because she got spayed. When I brought her back, I told them to be extra careful around her surgery area since it had just healed. They seemed really understanding, and I trusted them. Unfortunately, they weren’t careful, and her incision got infected. I didn’t make a big deal out of it because I understand mistakes happen, but it definitely made me hesitant to go back. After some time, I decided to try again for a nail trim, and it was disappointing—they barely trimmed her nails. I was confused but didn’t say anything. Today, I decided to give them one last chance. I scheduled a hygienic expression, a sanitary trim, and a nail trim. We got there early, as requested, and dropped her off. A few minutes later, I got a call saying she was ready for pick-up. When we got there, they told us the hygienic expression “wasn’t needed.” That didn’t make any sense. Bean definitely needed it, and it was the main reason we booked the appointment… It’s been 6 months since she’s been expressed and we have been smelling her. On top of that, her nails were barely trimmed again, and they didn’t even use the Dremel we asked for. We didn’t argue; we just told them we wouldn’t pay for the services they didn’t perform, and they said okay. I checked her behind area and surprise, she got nicked… I assume it was during the “sanitary trim”. I don’t usually like leaving negative “Karen-like” reviews, but this was just so frustrating. I’ve given them multiple chances, but it’s clear they’re not consistent or reliable. Anyways, lesson learned. I don’t need a response. I know losing a customer ain’t going to hurt your business. I just want wanted to express that your customer service is sucks.

Today we picked up our dog after her grooming, brought her home and then found blood on our carpet because one of her nails had been trimmed into the quick. When we called them about this they suggested we bring her back for coagulant powder, but there was no apology. They did not notify us to watch for this when we picked her up. This is our 4th or 5th time at this location. Our previous groomer of 10 years moved away. At Townhouse we have had to bring pictures each time because they have trimmed her ears and tail too short and nobody seems to keep or check our preferences from appointment to appointment. Our golden doodle is 11 years old. We have never had complaints about her being difficult to handle. And she has never bled on our carpets after a nail trimming. Accidents happen but there is no excuse for not alerting us to the injury. We are going to look someplace else for her grooming. My husband took her in and picked her up. He is always polite. But he felt there was little regard for our concerns.

Our grooming looked fine, they did a good job, though there are a few things to note before scheduling here: 1. The appointment is for a specific time, but then they do the grooming throughout the day. I dropped off for a 10 AM apt and picked up at 3 PM and 4 PM. 2. Which means the dogs are in the grooming area kenneled all that time - which my dogs hate as they get *very anxious* being around the industrial sounds for that long a time. 3. The office doesn't answer phone calls after 11 AM - and none of that was communicated to me when I dropped off. There's a sign on the counter about the calls which I didn't see until I drove back over there to check on my pups after 3 hours thinking I had surely missed their call. 4. Lastly, I did not receive a price until I picked up one dog (with a cute kerchief) which was $65 and then I had to come back to pick up my second dog an hour later (with no kerchief) and the cost was $90. I received no call for approval of a higher cost nor an explanation for the price difference. When I asked, the groomer was busy, so they couldn't tell me *why* the price difference unless I wanted to wait another how-ever many minutes until they were free. Overall, there needs to be better communication for first time customers and also price transparency.

We have been taking our dog there for years and almost if not always had a different groomer. The groomers are professional but there is zero interpersonal relationship no consistency and their prices keep going up… we tip well so it becomes a big budget. For the second time we were addressed in a very rude way. We are done. There is a new groomer in the neighborhood, small business, friendly groomer/owner. That will be a better fit for our family. **I was 20 min late (not 45 as they answered) I apologized I had the reminder wrongly entered in my calendar. The rudeness is what got me to put this review not as much the cancellation.

These poor dogs are left for hours in these dark prison style cages just crying. If you send your dog here don’t the cages have iron puddles and poop all over the floor. Breaks my heart to see animals sad

I've taken my dog here for over 6 years, b and wanted to take my new dog but whoever is answering your phones is not very helpful or friendly. It's quite a shame because she is the face of your business when you call. I had to literally explain I needed a new account multiple times, only to be told she couldn't book the appointment and I needed to go online. I think I'll take my business elsewhere. There are plenty of other groomers.

I board my dog here because she does not do well at group play facilities. Staff are friendly and accommodating and remember my dog. My dog is always eager to go in, which she has not always been when boarding. Great place.

Fantastic animal people! The staff at Townhouse Pet Care have consistently been friendly and super helpful. The old dog actually gets excited when he figures out we're going for a visit. They are always very nice and super accommodating of his needs which I massively appreciate. Those who work the front desk like Alex are very good people and seem quick to help to fix any issues from setting an appointment to billing. The facility itself is always very clean and welcoming. The pups love the treats they sell a lot. They've definitely earned a customer for life.

Shaley is amazing! She has been the most flexible, reliable, kind and fun dog walker and sitter that we’ve ever had the pleasure of working with. She is always up for finding a solution no matter how last minute or difficult our requests are. Our dogs love her and are always excited to see her. Her extended team have been equally lovely. She also always shares pics of our pups which we love. We couldn’t recommend working with her enough!

Shaley has been the BIGGEST blessing to my furbaby Mija and our family. She is always on time and shows Mija so much genuine love every time she comes to our house to walk her. Shaley is flexible with last minute changes and seems to truly care about our family and most of all, our pup. I cannot recommend Shaley any more highly. She is the ABSOLUTE best. Shaley and Scratch n' Sniff are the BEST dog walkers in Portland, by far. We love our dog like our kids and on those days when we can't be home to walk him, Shaley and her team are always there to help. We trust her implicitly and I would recommend (and do, regularly) Scratch n' Sniff to anyone that wants to give their dog the best possible care. We, and our dog, thank you from the bottom of our collective hearts!

We could not be more excited and satisfied with working with Shaley! We have two nervous/anxious/reactive dogs who have grown to love Shaley over the past several months. Shaley has been incredibly patient with our dogs and made sure they feel comfortable, including but not limited to: multiple meet and greets, brainstorming the best way to set-up the house for the puppies to feel safe, working on donning/doffing harnesses, and making adjustments based on how the pups are doing each day! Communicating with Shaley and making changes our schedule is a breeze and Shaley always leaves an update on how the woofers did that day! Solid 10/10 for Shaley and Scratch N’Sniff!

I have used Shaley at Scratch N' Sniff for at least five years and she has been fantastic. It's obvious she is simpatico with animals and our kitties love her. She is very professional, reliable and flexible. There have been times when I have needed last minute visits and she has always come through. When we're away for more than a day she sends photos so we can get our fur baby fix. We also get written reports of each visit. One of our cats requires pills and Shaley has no problem with that. I trust her completely and highly recommend her!

I can’t speak highly enough of Scratch-n-Sniff! Our Frenchie Ruby adores Shaley and her team. We originally started with Shaley walking Ruby when she was a puppy to socialize her with other people and for her to learn to walk on a leash. 3 years later here we are! Even through quarantine Shaley was available for walks while being extremely safe with social distancing and masking so we all felt safe. Shaley goes above and beyond to give the best care to Ruby and treats her like I imagine she treats her own fur babies! We’ve found ourselves in a tight spot a few times when our cat sitter has cancelled at the last minute. Shaley has saved the day and stepped in to feed them and check on the house for us. She is a very trustworthy person and has a great work ethic. I recommend Shaley and her team 100% for the best care your pup/kitty can receive!

Shaley @ Scratch N Sniff is the BEST catsitter we've ever had. She obviously cares deeply for animals and her intake appt was thorough and professional. She is readily available, communicative, flexible, send pics, manages the unexpected and is generally just great and easy to work with. She has made it SO much easier for us to leave town as we used to use a boarding service that was cumbersome and took the cats out of our home, which they didn't love. We feel so grateful to have found Shaley and would (and have!) recommend her to anyone!

Shaley is truly an extraordinary dog Walker! Our dogs adore her and are far better behaved with her than us. She and her team are incredibly reliable and very, very flexible. We give her 5 stars and Russ and Ava (our mutts) give her 5 woofs!

Shaley has been both a regular dog walker and a house sitter for my dog and is amazing. Super responsible and completely beloved by our dog. I couldn't feel more comfortable leaving our dog in Shaley's capable hands when we went on a long vacation. I highly recommend!!!

She has been looking after our senior cat for a year or two now, after my wife and I went through an endless succession of bad pet sitter experiences. It’s hard to find someone who you can truly trust with the care of your furry family members, let alone someone you can trust in your home. Shaley is responsive, easy to communicate with, easy to work with, proactive, and highly dependable. She goes above and beyond to make sure our little guy is fed, looked after, and loved whenever we are out of town. We can tell that the cat is a big fan of hers too. It’s nice to be able to leave town with confidence that your pets are safe and cared for, and your home is under a trustworthy and watchful eye. I am so thrilled with BarkZone! I don’t normally do reviews, but they are just so amazing that I have to give them a shout out. My dog loves going there! The things I appreciate most about them are the drop-in availability (so convenient!!), ability to board my dog at the same place he goes for day services, the extra services like grooming or add-ons (brushing and treats for example) during boarding, being able to occasionally spy on him when I’m missing him via the live cameras on the website, and the friendly staff! I am so appreciate of your business model and services. My dog always comes home happy (and tired) when he spends time at BarkZone Thank you for being a place my sweet pup loves to go!

My dog loves it here. He typically does two days during the work week to break up the week. He's usually pretty chill the days following his visits after playing all day. I appreciate that I can check in via the cameras and see him playing and having fun with the friends he has made. We haven't done summer days yet and I have not been able to watch them play outside, so I'm reserving a star. Overall, it's a nice option to have. I appreciate they do the temperament tests and seem to keep a pretty good eye on the dynamics with the dogs present. Would recommend.

Barkzone was so good with my little mini Schnauzer as she was a little timid being new kid on the block. The staff was sensitive and attentive to her care and were patient with her need to ease into the scene. I love being able to see her on the web cams, and anytime I had a question they are quick to respond!!! Plus, she got a wonderfully grooming from Sergio (mobile groomer) Thank you Barkzone!!!🐾🐾

We have been taking our pooches here for a while now, and it’s def our top choice! Staff is caring, understanding, and responsive; they also have webcams available. My cowboy corgi, Ivy Mae, is almost 3yrs old. She has been a regular at the Montavilla BarkZone for the last 2 years. I drop her off approx 8am and pick her up at 4:00 pm, 1-2 x a week. All I have to say is “wanna go to Barkzone?” and she can barely wait to get together with her extended family of staff and other “kids” spending time there. She LOVES BZ and the staff has been exceptionally kind & supportive & because of that, Ivy is people and dog socialized. I’m so glad to have found my way to Barkzone, Maddie and her EXCELLENT staff. Great people, great value. Cameras so you can check in on your sweet doggies! My super hyperactive puppy gets socialization and the perfect amount of activity to allow him to relax with us in the evenings. We could not be happier with these wonderful people!

Our princess Romy is almost 3 years old, and has been a regular at Barkzone Montavilla for the past 2 years. She is all tail wags when we drop her off at BZ. The team always welcomes her with love and care and it’s clear my girl loves to be there. At pickup, we enjoy hearing about the new friends made that day. It’s incredibly reassuring to know that we have a place to take our baby girl and know that she will be in such great hands. I’ve been taking my beloved Sunbeam to be groomed at BarkZone for a few years. She is almost 16 years old and I wouldn’t trust anyone but Jessica to groom her. Jessica shows such love and care. She is amazing ❤️

I enjoy coming to work each day and seeing all the happy dog smiles! It really makes my day when a client tells me they are happy to see their dog loves us and loves coming to daycare. A day full of dog kisses is always a plus!

Drop off was great and they l listened to information about my dog and what I was looking for. Sweetie is very old, a little nervous and almost deaf and blind. They treated her with care, and Sweetie looked great and seemed happy when I picked her up. Checkout was quick and they gave a short report of how she did. Price was reasonable. Thank you so much! We are so grateful for the care Richard provides for our sweet dog Elsa. He has been letting her out and taking her on walks every week since she was a puppy. Our schedule changes constantly and I often have to contact Richard at the last minute for a visit. He is extremely flexible, understanding, and always responds immediately. Richard is always available when we need him and we know Elsa is in good hands!

Richard has been walking my two dogs for three months now. He is always willing to walk my dogs even when contacted on the same day I need his services. He is reliable and best of all my dogs adore him and are always happy to see him. I would recommend Richard to anyone who wants assurance that he will go the extra mile to care for your animals.

Richard is exceptional. In 2.5 years of dog walking he has never canceled a walk or said no to last minute needs. He has never raised his prices and he always comes on time. He walks our dog Libby who is aggressive with other dogs and has handled her so well- she loves him. He also cat sits for us when we leave town and goes above and beyond, stopping by our house in the morning and evening to let our cat in and out so she can get some fresh air. He has been so important to the health and happiness of our pets, we think of him as family!

Richard watches our two cats every time we go out of town! He's reliable, great with the cats, they are happy to stay at home, and his rates are affordable. When we come back, the cats are happy and the litter boxes are clean. We are very happy with the service that Sunnyside Home Pet Care provides and recommend Richard to anyone looking for a pet sitter.

Richard is great! I highly recommend Sunnyside Petcare. He comes to our house on short notice and takes care of our pets. He is very responsible and even finds substitute pet walkers for our dog at no extra cost when he can not make it. He is also great at communicating any issues that come up. We trust him with our dog and recommend him to all of our friends.

When I first adopted my puppy, Fluffhead, I felt incredibly guilty for leaving him at home while I was in the office. I told my vet that I was stressed out about affording the rates of most dog walkers, and she immediately recommended Richard's services. Richard came over and hit it off with Fluffhead right away, spoiling him with treats and attention. Since then, Richard has come in two or three times a week, unfailingly responsible, flexible, and friendly. Even when I email him the same morning asking for a walk, he always makes time in his schedule. Lastly, I can tell that he really cares about Fluffhead...for the first couple of weeks he would text me about their walks, letting me know that all was well. I feel so lucky to have him in my neighborhood, and I know Fluffhead feels the same way!

This man is a bit unhinged and outright unstable. I don't know what lead to his owns dogs death...(not natural causes) but I can not trust him with my own.
