Andrea and Paul were wonderful house sitters! They really spoiled Mickey. They took good care of my plants too. They kept my house clean, just like I left it. They sent me videos and photos of Mickey and gave me a full report of his behavior and health while they were there. I would definitely want them to house sit for me again in the future.

Carrie is a fantastic house/pet sitter! This is the second time we have used her and I can't say enough good things about her! She took excellent care of our dog Lilly and sent us a daily update with a picture. She and Lilly are now best friends! :) She also took care of my mail and left my place spotless! I highly recommend her!

Jessica was a great sitter! She was responsible, responsive, and left the house cleaner than when she arrived! Jessica sent updates and pictures/videos which were so nice to see while we were away! We have already asked her to sit for us again in the future!

Looking after Grace and Bear for Molly was a treat! Molly made me feel very welcome and the communication with her was swift and friendly. I had the pleasure of meeting her in person as well - which made my stay all the more wonderful.

Grace and Bear are both adorable and made me feel like part of the family from the beginning. They followed me around the house all the time. Feeding time is very easy - and FAST: both of them down their food as if they have been starving, very Labrador-like. Similarly Labrador-like is their (especially Bear`s) ability to snitch food from the kitchen or table; though with some clear, short, verbal instructions, I managed to keep my loss of breakfast items to a minimum.

They are both happy and quick to understand what you mean, even in Dutch (my native language), as long as you keep instructions short, consistent and with the appropriate tone of voice and plenty of "good boy" or "good girl" and lots of cuddles.

Being different in both character and age, I took them out for walks separately. While Bear is strong and energetic (so you need a pair of sturdy shoes and biceps) and loves a bit of a sprint every now and then (all on his leash of course), Grace loves to sniff at pretty much every flower and looking at squirrels.

Molly`s home is great to hang out in and around. It is in a woody area with plenty of shady trails for walking and even a 65 mile long tarmac cycle track just 3 mins from her home. The cycle track is not very shady, so bring sunscreen!
5 miles away, there is also a very pleasant Botanical Garden with ponds, woods and lawns for a picnic.

Another perk is that you don`t need a car when staying at Molly`s - the Metro stop Wiehle-Reston is just a 30 minute walk away (or a short busride and 15 min walk), or you could take an Uber or Lyft from the station. The Metro takes you to Union Station and Washington DC sights in around 40 minutes.

Supermarkets are closeby too: Safeway is about a 20 minute walk and Wholefoods 30.

There are also a few lakes nearby, but unfortunately, swimming is not allowed. If you want to swim, there is a public pool along the main road near Lake Audubon. There are signposted walking trails along the lakes as well.

Sitting outside on the deck of the house is very inviting. The neighbourhood is quiet, the view straight into the woods (and sometimes on deer, foxes and squirrels) and the lounge chairs comfy for endless reading.

The kitchen has everything you might need, the inside spaces are welcoming, spacious and light. I didn`t spend much time inside though - the deck was too comfy!

Anyway - a great sit if you ask me: Molly, Bear, Grace, the house, the neighbourhood, the surroundings and closeness to DC: all 5 stars!!
