Some things I think you really should know. Chalford Hill is exactly that. Very narrow streets. It had rained for weeks (unusual) and it continued to rain. I came straight from Heathrow to their home. For that sit, I recommend being over any jet lag. There are 3 rock steps up from the cars. Nothing at all to steady yourself. The yard has uneven rocks everywhere and I am sure their garden is lovely. No one was home. Thankfully. I couldn’t stand up. I crawled to the house. Freezing and so embarrassing. After they left on holiday, I fell down the narrow stairs. You have a 3rd floor room. This info affects probably 2% of sitters. I slept on the sofa, which I covered multiple times. Tiggy slept with me on the floor.Tiggy dragged me through the mud as if I were tiny. I’m not. She didn’t even know what happened. I say all this for the very few. You need Springer experience . Young and hearty. The car you rent is not for you but Tiggy. You will be sitting for some of the nicest people in the world. Their 3 children are as kind, or kinder. I am so sorry I let Alex down, I kept saying what’s wrong with you? The long trip, the cold and the rain. But Tiggy looked pretty comfortable in several pictures. Also, I never left her alone and she liked that. If you can handle Tiggy’s walks, and with lots of love, you will be very happy.
I had just the best time taking care of Jackie’s cats and dogs. She is one of the loveliest people I’ve ever met and was kind enough to let me stay an extra night before my flight out of Chiang Mai. The house is great, the pool wonderful, and all four animals are great characters and very easy to look after. A thoroughly delightful experience in every way. As my first housesit through this website it has set the bar very high indeed!
We had a great time house sitting for Cindy. We met up with her before she left for her trip, and she showed us around the house and made sure everything was clear. Between that and the written information she left, which was thorough and easy to understand, everything went smoothly. Cindy was so fun to talk to; we were happy to have the opportunity to get to know her a little before she caught her flight. She is warm and generous, with an infectious enthusiasm that gave us a boost of energy for the day! The cats were affectionate, well-behaved, and no trouble at all to care for. The house was comfortable, with everything we needed and more. The location was fantastic - a quiet neighborhood close to the water, but not far from restaurants, stores, and the light rail into Seattle. All in all, we couldn't have asked for a better time!
Not only is, Julie’s home immaculate, but she has sumptuous bedding, beautiful taste, and the doggies are just so incredibly well-behaved. I had all the information I needed, and everything just felt organic with communications pre and during my stay. I’m looking forward to returning in summer when weather is a bit better. They have a beautiful garden! Absolutely five star!
The communication with Hellen was excellent and her pets adorable. When you come by car you have to be aware though that there is no free parking around. Otherwise, everything is reachable from her home. I loved Douglas and the three cats!
