We thoroughly enjoyed this sit and would definitely love to come back again. Daisy & Myrtle are both delightful characters, very well behaved and are an absolute joy to walk in the adjacent fields … Daisy remains on a lead at all times and Myrtle’s recall is brilliant as long as both she and Daisy get the treat they feel they both deserve when Myrtle is called and returns!! Gay and Nigel left very clear guidance notes, were easily contactable and very kind, thoughtful and lovely. The cottage and accommodation is stunning in such a beautiful village and countryside. We met lots of lovely villagers on our walks, all of whom were really friendly. We had a fantastic Christmas in this picturesque cottage and village that really does feel like it belongs in the set of ‘The Holiday’. There is a pub just a minute walk up the road which looked really nice … but we actually never made it there as was too comfortable in front of the fire in such good company - We had such fun snuggling up with ‘the girls’ and who were no trouble at all but just made us constantly smile … they are gorgeous. Would thoroughly recommend to anyone but we will try to get there first!

We had a lovely stay near Wilmington and the sea with Archie and Pippin. Jennifer is welcoming and communicative and her home is comfortable and clean. We had everything needed to take care of her pets and her home, and even shared a meal with Jennifer the night before she left.

Pippin is a precious elderly dog who moves gingerly and needs TLC. Once we learned her routine and ways of communicating, she was easier to care for. Archie the kitty was a breeze and fun to play with. He is only slightly mischievous and pretty independent. The two of them are not good buddies, so Pippin stays in a comfy spot in the office when you go out. When we were at home, we let Pippin go outside for potty breaks in the little fenced-in back patio/yard, which was beautifully landscaped. She was usually content to rest on the sofa, but loves being held.

We enjoyed going to Oak Island, exploring Wilmington and Southport, and visiting an aquarium. We highly recommend this sit for people who are patient and can meet the needs of a sweet older pup, enjoy a playful kitty, and love the beach. It’s a great home and area to have a laid-back getaway.

Thank you Jennifer!

Beautiful place, lovely Cheddy The Cat, kind and considerate host. Cheddy is a loving, peaceful, playful cat. Hillary is a gracious host. The place is guarded, safe and conveniently located near shops, restaurants with gorgeous views of the waterfront. Thank you for having me stay with your lovely pet.

Dennis was very communicative and kind from the start. We had spoken a few times leading up to the stay to ensure we both understood expectations. Him and Shawna hosted me with a lovely dinner the first night to get to know each other. The house was a beautiful treat surrounded with snow and wildlife and had any amenity you could need. The kitties were a joy to spend time with. They both have such funny and sweet personalities and by the end of my stay the kitties and I had gotten into a wonderful groove and I was sad to leave them. I would happily stay with the girls again any time and look forward to it!

I truly enjoyed my time with Maddie & Lilly in Lodi and would gladly return. Sandy & Jim were very hospitable and welcomed me into their home with open arms. Together, they have created a place that is very special. I will greatly miss long walks with Maddie through the vineyards surrounding their home and the sly, watchful eye of Miss Lilly!
