What a joy it was to look after Barney. He is one of the nicest dogs we have ever looked after. He loved his walks, loved people, cuddles and really loved his doggie friends! Very well behaved on the lead and also good off. Great in the car and liked his little trips out. Kary was very welcoming and everything was very organised for us. We were warm and very comfortable in her home and felt relaxed there. Would not hesitate to sit again. Good luck with your new home Kary and we hope to see you and Barney again.
My stay at Jason's place was incredible! Communication with the host was clear and consistent throughout my sit, and Bowser was an absolute delight! Highly recommend this sit for anyone!
This was a lovely sit. The house was clean and organized, and the pet parents couldn't have been nicer or more welcoming. The only thing I would've liked would have been a completed welcome guide with all information in one place. Scott communicated what I needed to know via text but looking back I didn't have Ranger's vet information or other details I might have needed quickly in case of emergency.
Kim is very nice to work with and I very much appreciated her flexibility in accomodating me on the dates of my recent short stay. Tucker was not quite sure about me at first but after we slept togeter the first night we became fast friends and he loved our walks around the neighborhood. The home is in the redwoods and is about 10 miles out of town. I enjoyed 2 nice days exploring Santa Cruz and the very cute little town of Capitola. Thank you Kim!!
I had a lovely stay at Anna's house with Fred. Fred is one of the most affectionate cats I've met - he loves a cuddle and he was a perfect companion. Anna's house is gorgeous and light-filled. It's close to some great restaurants on Smith Street and super close to the train station and tram. Anna was great with communication and everything at her place was explained perfectly. I would happily sit for Anna (and snuggle up with Fred) again in future.
Thea and Edgar are super sweet! We only spent a couple of nights on this sit, but everything was excellent. We were sad to leave Thea and Edgar at the end.

Saw Wild Pups on instagram and that it is a local, women owned business. We wanted to support! Our dog cannot spend all day adventuring but, we did a meet and greet with Toby and are able to board with her pack. Our dog loves getting to hang out with the Wild Pups and Toby is fabulous to work with. I don’t know how she does it but, the dogs she works with are so fortunate. Words can't express the love my dog, Roo, and I have for Wild Pup Adventures. I moved to Portland in early 2020 and tried out a few different services, but I knew when Roo came home his first day on his adventure with Toby that this was the best one. Roo is a 3-year old golden retriever with a bossy attitude and endless energy and I have personally never seen him so tired as when he comes back from his weekly adventure. Toby, the owner/trainer, is truly a dog whisperer. Not only has she helped me with individual training sessions for Roo, but she manages to keep 6-7 dogs at her full attention the entire time she is out in the wilderness with them. Toby takes them to different terrain and places around Portland every week and her knowledge of the forest/beach/anywhere is incredible!! You can truly see the love in my dog's eyes when we walk up to her van and in all of the amazing pictures that she takes during the day. I moved to Bend recently and was SO sad to not be apart of WPA anymore. If anyone is looking for the best thing you can buy for your dog, I always recommend this service. I would give 150 stars if google let me, we will MISS YOU TOBY THANK YOU!!!

My dog dog 🐶 and I really appreciate this service. My large breed needs lot of exercise and Toby gives that to him in spades. He launches into her adventure van, so I know he is happy to be going out with her and the pack. She videos & photographs her adventure experience with the pups and gives them the freedom to be dogs in great locations free of people and dangerous cars found on the cities concrete jungle. My boy comes home zonked. He sleeps long and hard after his adventure, so I know his brain activity is healthily recharging, so important in all dogs but especially a young pup. I highly recommend this service for anybody that has a high energy dog that needs extra stimulation. Thank you Toby for being a great lack leader!
We have a Dutch shepherd who is a wonderful pet to us. He is a bit dog aggressive and as such finding appropriate boarding for him is a bit of a challenge. We called multiple kennels and got a recommendation from an other kennel (high end dog spa) to take our dog to CMK because their owner who also has a challenging dog takes theirs there as well. We were very pleased from intake to pickup. We were a bit nervous because of the other review mentioning their lost cat. I do find it a bit abusive for that person years later to continue to harass this small business. Mistakes happen - i run a business myself. Get over it and move on! Thank you CMK for taking care of our Pooch! Lastly their pricing is very reasonable for the service offered. (Pictures below are of our Bastian having a good time in their yard - he’s a bit of a prancer :-) )
This was the first time I ever used a boarding service for my pets, and I was so happy with their service! They were super polite, attentive, and responsive. When Cora, my cat, wasn’t eating much they called me right away and offered to try wet food and treats to increase her appetite. My two dogs get separation anxiety when apart from each other so I was so glad I was able to put them in a room together! They also email you picture updates of your animals which was amazing for me who was missing my fur babies very much. Thank you!!
I don't have any experience with places like this, but I will say the staff was very friendly, my kitten seemed well cared for, and they were easy to work with. When I wasn't able to receive the email photo updates they even found another way to provide me almost daily photos of my furr baby. It was frustrating when I thought they weren't sending updates, but they really went the extra mile to find a way that worked for me. I don't know what they use for sanitizing, but I can say I was glad the smell my kitten and his belongings came back with didn't last too long after picking him up. (About a day) I would use them again if needed. My mother who is pretty hard to please was also happy with their services, and her cat also seemed well cared for.
Our experience with Cooper Mountain Kennel has been incredibly positive. We have two big dogs that were rescues and they can be a real handful. I tried numerous kennels prior and it was miserable for the dogs and they often came back in really bad shape. A family member suggested Cooper Mountain and it's amazing how positive the difference is. My 90lb dog who had a pretty rough early life, doesn't do well with strangers, but he loves the staff there. It was really surprising to see how he connected with staff. It's obvious how much they care about the well-being of the animals they care for. Before I had these dogs I never would have understood why it was important to find the right kennel, but this has made traveling so much easier; I wish I'd found them sooner. The staff even sends regular text/email photo updates, so we get to see them on walks or out in the yard. We have to drive a long ways to get to Cooper Mountain Kennel, but it is well worth the extra trip!
UPDATE! Out of concern for other’s pets, I want to continue to share. Two years ago Cooper Mountain Kennels lost our beloved cat, Percy. We just left him alone for the first time since then! Thankfully we returned to find him safe and sound with his new caregivers. The experience, however, was not without issue. Percy was traumatized by his previous experience with CMK and this trauma remains evident even until today. Do not kennel your pet with Cooper Mountain Kennels. ORIGINAL REVIEW: Our beloved cat, Percy, went missing from Cooper Mountain Kennels on Friday 8/9/22. We received a call on Saturday 8/10 to inform us that Percy managed to escape from his kennel and then clawed his way out of the juncture of ventilation tube in a window. (Pictures available upon request.) The owner of Cooper Mountain Kennels, Doug, took full responsibility for losing our cat. He admitted that the latch on the kennel was loose and that the ventilation tube (through which Percy escaped) was not securely attached to the window. We are heartbroken. We actively looked around Cooper Mountain Kennels for one week, but had no luck finding Percy. The owner allowed us access to the space and worked with us, meeting us at the kennel so we could look. He also placed cameras, food, and live traps repeatedly. While the owners of Cooper Mountain Kennels were very supportive in the search for Percy, the truth is that Percy never should have been able to escape. We kenneled our cat because we wanted to keep him safe, and because of poor conditions in their facility, Cooper Mountain Kennels made it possible for our cat to escape. (Additionally, while the owners did acknowledge fault in this matter, at no point did Doug apologize or express any remorse.) After about a week, I retrieved Percy’s items from Cooper Mountain Kennels. I asked that Doug notify us if they have any sightings or any additional information. At that time, I strongly suggested that they make the repairs necessary to ensure that no other cats could escape and that no other families would need experience the pain we have endured. Doug assured me that they would. I have no proof that these repairs have been made or that Cooper Mountain Kennels is a safe place to board any pets. Percy remains missing. We have posted information on Nextdoor and Facebook and other social media platforms. We have connected with Bonnie L. Hays shelter and veterinarians. We’ve canvassed neighborhoods, posted multiple fliers, and have gone door to door in nearby neighborhoods. Unfortunately, we have had no luck in finding our cat. We desperately miss Percy. My daughter is devastated. Cooper Mountain Kennels had one job to do--to keep our cat safe. And they failed miserably.
This place will text/email you photos of your pup while you are away! It is a lot easier to leave my dog when I can see her having fun and playing at Cooper Mountain. My dog is happy when I drop her off and when I pick her up (almost doesn't want to leave). She seems to really like the owner and they are willing to follow her specific feeding instructions.
Absolutely wonderful place. My fur baby enjoyed her time and after a 3 day trip, the boarding was amazing. They sent photos and communicated the whole time. When she came back to me, it was with excitement. I could tell how caring they were with how they described her personality perfectly and even as she walked with them back to me she was happy. I’m not usually a fan of boarding my little partner in crime, but I had full confidence in the services here. I understand some of the 1 star reviews, but I really think it has more to do with dog’s personality and not the care provided. I own two dogs who do not get along - they are separated at all times. We brought them to CMK Pet Hotel & Daycare for two nights of boarding. When I scheduled this service I added on grooming for both dogs because it seemed like it was such a great deal - only $40 per dog. I reserved two separate rooms for the dogs and noted when scheduling the service online that they were not to be together or to be with any other dogs at any time. I did not ask for daycare and did not assume there would be a reason for them to be around any other dogs, but I still explicitly said this "just in case" because mistakes in this area may not be trivial. When I dropped them off (one at a time) I told the man who received them they were not to go to daycare, that neither of them should ever be with any other dogs, and they were not to be together. Yet when I picked them up I met the same man explaining to me that they had gotten into a fight in grooming and Paloma had a small cut on her ear. I then spoke to a woman who said she witnessed the fight - that she came to get the dogs to be groomed, that they were loose together in the daycare area and they started to fight and she quickly separated them. She was never told they should not be together. I do not know who initially left them alone in a room together. I then spoke to a groomer who said there was a second fight in the grooming area that she broke up using a water hose. My smaller dog came out with bites all over her face. Apparently, no one in the grooming area was informed that these dogs were not to be together or with any other dogs. There was nothing in the profiles that ended up in their system noting that either dog should not be with any other dogs. I cannot in good conscience recommend the boarding or grooming services to anyone. The physical injuries to my dog are thankfully minor, but should never have happened. It is frankly a miracle that none of the staff and none of the dogs of other clients were physically injured. The staff members who witnessed and were involved in fights may very well be emotionally injured, and they should never have been put into that position. The dogs should never have been together, per my very clear instruction. If this was not something that the facility was capable of doing, either in boarding or grooming, they should have told us so and not agreed with my instruction. We would have gladly boarded one or both dogs at a different facility. We will not be using this facility in the future.
My wife and I were feeling hopeless when it came to boarding our mini Goldendoodle. It was difficult to find a good location, fair pricing and someone trustworthy to take care of our pup when we were out of town. Finally we came across Holly’s website and were immediately intrigued. We reached out and Holly was so responsive and caring. We got a meet and greet scheduled right away and it went amazing. Holly and her family are so welcoming and easy to communicate with. It has been such a relief to have found Holly and now we always know we have a reliable plan for where our dog will stay when we need help with her. Our favorite part is the daily photo updates we get from Holly when she is watching our dog ♥️ thank you, Holly!
Holly was very easy to work with, responsive to communications, and thoughtful about taking care of my pup. I had a great trip knowing she was in good hands. The daily pics were not only adorable but high quality, too! Will definitely choose Holly again :)
We always feel comfortable having Holly watch our two cats while we're away! Holly is responsive, lets us know if there are any issues, and sends the cutest daily photo updates. She goes above and beyond to make sure they feel loved (and we're updated) while we are away!
We left our pet rabbit with Holly for a week. I knew right away that she was in good hands. Holly carefully went over all the instructions with us before we said good bye and made sure our little bunny had a comfortable set up. Then, amazingly, we got wonderful photos and updates throughout the week. Everyone was having a good time together. We were so grateful to have found Holly to share their home and attention with our little friend. Holly is really special.

Holly provided care for our two cats for a week. I could tell by the cute pictures she sent each day that the cats were very comfortable with her. She even took care of an ant evasion we had, putting out ant traps we had to keep the pests away from the cat food! She always replied promptly to texts we sent while away. I will definitely use her services again.
Holly has taken care of my kitty a couple times now and has done such a good job. She checks on my girl reliably and sends me photo updates everyday so I feel reassured that everything is ok back home. Vacations are so much more relaxing when I know my fur baby is being looked after. I highly recommend Holly!

My three guinea pigs are very spoiled and precious to me, so it’s hard for me to leave them when we go out of town. I am so glad to have found Whisker Wise! Lori takes excellent care of my girls and responds readily to texts when I inquire about how they’re doing. They stayed with her for over two weeks this summer while we were visiting family and upon picking them up I could see they were happy and healthy (no lost weight, which happened at a previous place we boarded them at). She even gives them fresh veggies/tomatoes from her garden! Definitely recommend Whisker Wise. :)
Our guinea pigs Teddy and Domino were very well cared-for during our week and half away this month. The owner is super responsive to texts, understanding and responsible, and even sent us a cute video of our babies. :) Would definitely use again! Oh, and it was super affordable too!
Whisker Wise watched my two bonded English Lop Rabbits for about 17 days. Lori did such a good and attentive job in caring for them! They seem healthy and happy as can be. I also really enjoyed that Whisker Wise Animal Care and Boarding has cameras set up over the rabbit areas so you can check in on your rabbit at any time. Lori is also extremely kind and definitely cares about the animals themselves. When my rabbits ran out of a supplement/treat Lori went out and bought some more. I would definitely leave my Rabbits with Whisker Wise again!
When I went out of town for a week I was glad to find a place like whisker wise and someone like Lori to take care of my bunny. I've never boarded her before so I was a little apprehensive, but Lori assured me she would be very well cared for. She even offered to place her in a pen with a camera. It was so nice to see her on video whenever I wanted so I could check up on her and be able to move the camera around to see who she was rooming next to.The size of the pen looked very spacious and nicely set up with blankets. I would very much recommend Whisker Wise for any of your pocket pets and will definitely be using them again in the future!
I love Whisker Wise Animal Care & Boarding! Lori is absolutely wonderful and takes such good care of my rabbit. I never have to worry about him when I go out of town. She gives him the attention he needs and gives me updates on how he is doing. The setup she provides for rabbits is really nice and big. I used to board my bunny with my veterinarian, but I much prefer Whisker Wise. I have no reason to ever go to another boarder again!
Lori takes amazing care with the animals she watches. I was anxious to leave my newly adopted bunny for a week, but when I came back my sweet Maggie was even tamer than before! She has an amazing set up for bunnies (super cool modified room!) with toys and boxes and even little sitting pads for the bunns. She's super flexible about pick up and drop off and is very kind! She is awesome! Definitely recommend.
Fantastic experience! Our senior bunny was well cared for during the 10 days we were out of town, and I loved being able to check on her via webcam. We will definitely be booking again the next time we go on a trip!
Having recently moved to the area, we were a little nervous with finding a new place to have our rabbits stay while we were out of town. Lori was great to talk to and put me at ease- additionally having a camera where we could view our buns to check in on them was a huge plus as well! Benny and Jasper were well taken care of during their stay over the New Year's holiday. Definitely will be bringing our buns here in the future for boarding. Thank you Lori!
Lori took in my bunnies at the last minute because I lost power. She was super kind and helpful! She was flexible and attentive. I know my kids were well taken care of. I definitely recommend her and will go back to her in the future.

Best pet sitter in the Portland metro area bar none. Diane has a passion for pets, and unlike some pet sitters she cares for special needs pets as well. My kitty is insulin dependent, and anytime we are leaving town we can trust to Diane to take care of him and make sure he gets all his medicine and insulin. I don't trust many people with my pets, but I trust Diane with mine. She has a passion for pets, and her kennel free boarding for dogs is top-notch. Any time I have to leave town, I can rest easy knowing our pets are well cared for.

Randi is the absolute best! I moved here from Florida last year and I was hesitant to board my two Goldendoodles anywhere. We found Randi and she has been amazing and a lifesaver. I can travel and I never have to worry about my girls, because they are well taken care of at Randi’s. I also love that she sends me photos of them running free in her yard while I’m away, or resting on the couch :-) I would recommend her to anyone looking for quality pet care in a warm and inviting home environment.

I impulsively brought home a rescue dog. I needed to go to work the next day. Randi was my rescue. She helped my pup and I settle in to a routine. Fast forward 3 years and another rescue dog. Randi remains flexible and supportive through it all. My dogs and cat look forward to her visits/walks.

The owner recommended that we take our dog to a different daycare as they were fully booked. He sent us to this wonderful place and said that that is where he would leave his dogs if he was going on vacation and he was absolutely right. In this literal world of dog eats dog the owner of Buster and Lily’s was an exception. I will try to recommend them as well.

The best dog daycare/boarding ever. I have kind of a tricky dog, and the employees are always so kind and patient with her. The owner is one of the nicest people I have ever met. I love that I can drop her off just for a couple hours to get some socialization. A lot of dog daycares can feel corporate-y and cold, but this is such a community-oriented, welcoming environment. My dog loves it here!
My pup loves coming here. Anytime we get anywhere near that part of town he starts getting really excited. They are nice, friendly and truly love and care about all the dogs who go here. We've boarded him here overnight many times. They also provide baths, and grooming. Great place, friendly staff. Bonus: I can watch my for my dog on their IG story daily. It's really fun :)
Buster & Lilly’s is like bringing our dog to his second home. He has gone there since he was 6 months old and he is now almost 11years old. The entire staff cares for the dogs as their own. Our dog was staying there while we were out of town and he had a medical emergency. Brian and the entire staff went above and beyond to help our dog as we frantically tried to make it home. I highly recommend this doggie daycare if you are looking for a welcoming and loving place to take your doggie!
Highly recommend! It makes me so happy to see my dog get excited to go inside and play. She comes home and sleeps like crazy. And every time I say “you want to go to Buster and Lilly’s?” her ears perk up and she gets so excited! They are also extremely accommodating, the owner and staff are very kind and the price is great.
The staff at Buster and Lilly’s are the sweetest and kindest people, who 100% genuinely care about every kid/pup that walks through there doors. While providing amazing customer service. They totally spoil my pup with lots of belly rubs and love caring him around. The owner is truly a compassionate, caring and loving person. Who cares about the well being of every pup that stays at there facility. The facility itself is very clean and professional. They have been my go to boarding and daycare place for the last couple of years, since Fort Wags closed there doors. No other boarding/daycare place can put a candle next to Buster and Lilly’s!!! I’m always happy to recommend them to any pup parent.
My puppy loves buster and lily's! He always gets so excited to come play! All the employees are wonderful and the daycare prices are unmatched! 12/10 would recommend! I heard it straight from my pup captain lol
