Erica was very communicative before and during and now after the sit. Suki was still looking for Erica when I got home, so clearly, they bonded. Erica left the house exactly as she found it--quite clean, and washed sheets and towels/remade the bed, and vacuumed. The kitchen and bathroom were immaculate, just as I had hoped. Most importantly, she enjoyed our town, and took Suki on my walks, as requested. I would gladly welcome Erica back when I travel, and when she is available. I hope that she'll chose us again!
Only Romina's partner, Ignas came over for the stay. Ignas was reliable and communicative, and gave our dog his daily medication, but beyond that it felt like he only did the strict minimum to take care of him. Our walker insisted on coming more often because he saw our dog was not going out as frequently as usual. Nothing major, and giving our dogs his meds was by far the most important thing.
We thoroughly enjoyed housesitting for Hayley and Robert on their farm on the outskirts of Buxton in the Peak District. We loved looking after Maisie and Flake who are two gorgeous collies with very different personalities, as well as 33 pregnant ewes and five highland cattle. We need do nothing more than just keep an eye on the cattle We visited Hayley and Robert in advance of our sit as we live local to them. They have a lovely warm home which was just as well as the weather at the time was freezing cold. The farm is set amid stunning scenery with lovely walks within its boundaries where we would walk Maisie and Flake twice a day. There are many places of interest in this area, famed for its dramatic scenery and wonderful hiking. We highly recommend this sit.
We had a great time taking care of their hamsters and exploring Marburg! Both Martin and Tamara were very friendly and communicative throughout our stay. They even invited us for a home-cooked meal before their departure. I'd highly recommend this house sit and vouch for them as sitters!
The days we spent at this wonderful family's home were memorable and will remain in our memories forever. When we arrived, Chantal and her husband welcomed us as if we had already been together, as they did everything to make us feel comfortable, explained and showed everything in a very practical and clear way. We also met their 4 children and were amazed, they are beautiful and seemed very well behaved and polite, and ended up also being very generous ;) Communication couldn't be better, always clear, fast and friendly. The house is indescribable, due to the peaceful and beautiful location where it is located making it ideal for walks and contact with nature, for the comfort and positive energy that this family transmits. The days we spent at home were filled with enormous inner peace. Finally, our 2 beautiful four-legged friends, Max and Indra, are super loving, well-mannered and obedient, so easy to get along with and despite being so different, they look like brothers. It was a pleasure to enjoy their company, to go on walks. When we said goodbye, and we saw their tender looks, it was not easy. We already miss them so much. From the moment we arrived until the day we left, we were treated warmly, very generously and with a unique proof of trust, we ended this stay with a full heart. We were lucky to have done this sit, and we hope one day to be able to return. Thank you very much once again to Chantal and her family and to our two great affectionate companions Max and Indra.
Albert is so cuddly, gentle and affectionate. He is patient whilst waiting for his meals to prep and will nudge you gently for his snacks. Nadine place is homely , well furnished and super comfortable, centrally located. With Albert -really enjoyed the sit. Highly recommended!
My week with sweet Rusty flew by all too quickly! Between Erica and Alan's warm and comfortable welcome and thoughtful preparations for my stay, and being located in such a lovely, quiet and convenient neighbourhood, I wasn't ready to leave when they arrived home. Erica put together a detailed house and pet care manual, complete with illustrative photos, and they were reachable to answer any questions during their time away. Rusty is a gentle, low-maintenance pup who may take a couple days to warm up to you, but then is affectionate and lots of fun to hang out with. I hope to return to care for Rusty again some time soon, as my schedule permits. I highly recommend this sit!
