Dominique left me with the greatest gift: insights into my cats' psychology and tips on how to improve our relationship. She is a unique, caring individual who went out of her way to visit me a week before the sit to see how I interacted with the 'difficult cat' and sit with us for two hours. She listened thoughtfully and asked relevant questions. When she moved in, due to complications on my end, she had to accept the house from other sitters, and she was most careful to share photos to ensure her reputation remains intact (the sign of a truly well-intentioned sitter). I was most grateful for her accepting the handover as such. During her stay, she spent more time with my cats than any sitter to date, studying them together and apart. She kept me updated with photos and videos but did not overwhelm me with excessive updates as she knew I was very busy. When I returned home, she had wise, carefully-worded advice ready for me. She noticed that the 'difficult cat' was very attentive to conversation and song, had issues with human hands but relaxed when they were out of sight, and she suggested some tricks to coax him out of his wariness around humans. She also pegged the other cat perfectly - Memo is indeed a self-centered boy, who does not like to share his brother Maximo with his human. I have since tried feeding Maximo (the difficult one) treats as she suggested and he has gotten within an inch of my hand, laid flat on the floor as she suggested, and it is working... I do hope to see Dominique again in the future to see our progress. As a sitter, she was great. As a mentor or cat-whisperer, she was amazing. The house was very clean and everything in order. I would happily recommend her to others.
