From the point of very first contact, Mick and Alison were friendly and enthusiastic about looking after our furry pets and our house in rural France. They kept us informed about their travel plans, enabling us to work with them for arrival and departure arrangements, which all went to plan. Having a 2 day overlap on their arrival gave us the chance to show them around and spend some time with them. During their stay they had to deal with a medical emergency for one of our dogs which they were on top of straight away, taking him to the vets and explaining the situation. Definitely not easy when you don't speak French!! They administered the prescribed medication and nursed him back to health I am very happy to say. During this period, Alison kept us updated on his condition which helped us a lot in dealing with our worries whilst so far away on holiday. Mick is some character! Ex military, he is very hands on and very active. We have quite a large garden, and when we returned, he had been working hard in the garden, where the grass had all been cut and everywhere was neat and tidy. During a conversation before we left, I had mentioned that the weather had been foul and apologized for not being able to power wash the terrace and pathway before they arrived. Yes, he had done that too!! As we live in a small village with no public transport, we make a car available for the house sitters to use. When we returned from holiday, we found the car had been cleaned inside and out and left with a full tank of fuel! You are stars Mick and Alison, thank you. Let us not forget the house, which again on our return was clean, neat and tidy. Alison also provided us with an evening meal, which was delicious and very welcome after a long day traveling. We would welcome Mick and Alison in a blink of an eye to house sit for us again and would unreservedly recommend them to all patrons of Zeewoi.
Dawn stayed in our home for 7 nights and was an excellent house sitter and cat sitter. Throughout our holiday, Dawn sent us updates and pictures of Teddy and Bobbi, and it was clear that they were very happy in her company. When we returned, our house was in excellent and clean condition she also made sure that we arrive in the country before leaving and also took in our groceries as our flight was delayed and could not make it on time, thanks again for looking after Bobbi and Teddy. I would highly recommend Dawn to anyone!:)
