Taco is such a sweet boy and so easy to care for. He loves cuddles and playtime and just generally hanging out. Poorva’s apartment is a lovely inner city sanctuary, amazing location to explore Melbourne from. Poorva loves her little boy and leaves sitters well equipped to take care of him.
Jack and Gracie were great to look after. They walked with ease and enjoyed each outing we had. The best was when we took them down to Fort Worden and walked along the beach. Gracie believes she was a lion in her previous life and no other dog has any chance of going unnoticed or challenged. Quite the little miss when out and about. We arrived the night before John and Jane departed which was nice as we got to know the dogs and the house. Port Townsend is one of the most charming towns in WA. Very quiet neighborhood and friendly neighbors.
Davie is a fantastic companion! He is fun, sweet and a pleasure to be around. I really enjoyed staying in Dustin and Joey's cozy, comfortable apartment and caring for him. If you like exploring the city, this location cannot be beat. It's close to the hippest neighbourhoods, the most beautiful parks, trials, public transit, bike paths and more. Dustin and Joey's instructions were thorough, their communication was outstanding, and the apartment was neatly stocked with any supply you could possibly need. I had never had a worry. Dustin and Joey were wonderful, they were *exceptionally* kind and accommodating and I would absolutely love to sit for them again!
Sitting for Denis and Daisy has been an amazing experience, they are lovely dogs and they love having people around. Ann is an incredible host and we are very happy and grateful for the whole experience, we will miss them a lot!
I had a blissful week in Englishcombe - too many things to name. Due to a malfunction between me and my Sat Nav 👀 I was late arriving and so I didn't meet Kate and Richard at the beginning. That was fine, because all of the instructions were very clear. 'The Annexe' is a beautiful old barn that has been beautifully restored and was super comfortable, though I did have to raid the kitchen from the main house for a few bits! And then there is Gertie! A black lab that is mental for her food haha. Black labs are renowned, but I think Gertie is on another level and that's saying something. It's not a problem providing you are out ahead of her! She is such a lovely girl and it was a pleasure to look after her. She was very easy, even with her regime of pills that she is on. Sonny got on great with her too and to be honest we were quite sad to leave her. And not to forget the beautiful orchard that I named the Garden of Eden at the front and Kate and Richard's glorious garden at the back. It was wall to wall beauty. Englishcombe is a terrific stay - the amount of walks from the house (my little public footpath app lit up when we got there!), the many brooks and streams, easy communication between Kate and Richard and the character that is Gertie. I would highly recommend this stay.
The whole experience of sitting for Bean was incredible through and through. Katie and Chris are the kindest souls and that shines through with Bean, their lovely pup! Bean is 4 but very energetic and loves nothing more than to play catch with his ball. The area of the flat is stunning, safe, and peaceful. Their flat is so clean and comfortable. Many parks nearby to take Bean for long walks. Shoreditch has it all, hip bars, fabulous restaurants and tree lined breathtaking paths that never get old.
