The house is wonderfully located in Bath just a short walk from everything. Communication with Rayne was great, and Boomer is a very loving and affectionate old boy - we really enjoyed our weekend there.
We thoroughly enjoyed our time with Mona and Gato. They are both incredibly social animals and bundles of love. Gato was very relaxed and easy to hang out with. Mona was a big ball of energy and played fetch all day with us. Kelly was very responsive and made sure that we were very welcome during our stay. Overall it was an amazing time in Charleston.
Many thanks to Alice and Pete who were wonderful hosts. We spent a very pleasant evening with them before they left for their trip and they made sure we knew everything we needed to know about their lovely home and the local area. As well, of course, about Buddy, Shady and Wesley! These special 'boys' had individual characters but they were all friendly and Buddy took his twice daily medication without any problem. Derby is ideally situated to explore the southern Peak District and the beautiful Dales where we enjoyed many long walks.
I had a fun time getting to know Lola and staying in Tom’s very comfortable home. Tom provided thorough details of both the house and Lola, which were extremely useful and appreciated. Lola is a fabulous dog. Great personality, bags of energy and very affectionate. I really enjoyed my time with her — long, long walks on the beach with constant ball throwing and always up for more - she’s a tour de force!
We LOVED Housesitting at Alyssa & Toby's family home in Calgary with their 2 sweet pups Jersey (13) and Dodge (8). We can’t wait go back!! From the moment we walked in the door, we were enthusiastically greeted by Jersey & Dodge with lots of tail wagging and loving smooches ❤️. In addition to providing a great Welcome Guide in advance, Alyssa & I spent time together before she left and it was wonderful getting to know each other and hanging out with the pups! Their family home was spotless and comfortable and made us feel right at home! I brought my laptop to do some work, but it was so nice, we just relaxed with Jersey & Dodge all weekend in the house and sunny fenced backyard, and for walks in the nearby parks. Jersey & Dodge love being outside, enjoying the sunshine, and were both VERY well behaved walking together side-by-side. They’re also well trained inside to stand by the backdoor when they need to go in-out the fenced backyard to do their business, just as we trained all our dogs, so everything was super easy. Great location, wonderful friendly neighborhood, surrounded by lots of parks and hiking trails, and a thoughtful, warm family with 2 sweet, lovable pups—- Thank you Alyssa & Toby for inviting us to housesit and making it so perfect. Pls give Jersey & Dodge a big hug and kiss from us! M&C❤️🙏
I SO enjoyed a serene week staying in Stephanie's cozy house with her lovable little feline, Dmitri. This housesit was a real pleasure: such a comfy guest room, & this centrally-located Austin neighborhood can't be beat for its yummy food and laid back feel. Bed was great, room was perfect temperature & quiet. I slept great... with sweet Dmitri curled next to me every night. Stephanie has a wonderfully peaceful back garden, which can be enjoyed as a lush view from the fully screened-in sunporch. There's a great hammock for naps, or nice table/chairs for morning coffee with a book or journal, and of course, Dmitri likely keeping you company. He is the friendliest, sweetest little cat. I will really miss him! Stephanie has a homey kitchen too, with all the basics to make meals, and tons of healthy, fresh herbs available from her garden to harvest and enjoy. Though honestly, I didn't cook at all... my stay was short and there was just too dang much good stuff to eat out! All within a 10-minute walk. Even though I had a car, I really didn't need it. I'd recommend to anyone to apply for future opportunities to meet Stephanie (who is kind, lovely, and easy to communicate with) and to stay at her place with Dmitri. He is the MOST adorable little cat. Soft, friendly and 'talkative' in a way that is utterly charming. If I am ever available & invited in the future, I'd love the chance to come back again.
