I should start by saying that Brendan and Jane are amazing. I felt immediately confident that our three precious fur-babies would be spoiled and loved and taken care of. Brendan is excellent at communicating and working to figure out the details. Our initial sit had to be postponed due to Covid but we were able to work it out at a later time so I could go home to America and they could come see their son and daughter-in-law. They are very detail-oriented and came to the introduction prepared with a notepad and pen. They both asked a lot of questions and ensured that they would be prepared once I left. While we were gone, Jane sent me detailed update emails, which I loved, and Brendan and I were in constant contact through an app called KakaoTalk. He gladly sent photos and videos (even when I was being annoying and asking for a lot!) They planned their schedule around the sit very well, arriving a few days before so we had time to meet, and leaving a few days later just in case there were any issues with my return. They are seasoned sitters, and it was apparent. I felt like they would adapt easily and that our pets would make a smooth transition to our absence. They gladly gave Cassius his nebulizer and didn’t mind cooking the homemade food that my dog eats. They also did a great job in keeping Nala (our dog) healthy and taking her on her walks, while not overexposing her to the extreme summer heat. Upon my return, they prepared a meal for me (even going out of their way to make sure it fit into my dietary restrictions) and left some food and a bottle of wine. They were respectful in giving me space upon my return, opting to leave a little before I arrived so I could decompress after the long trip. We met up the next day to exchange appreciation and gratitude. And a few weeks later, I received a thank you card in the mail from Jane! Overall, I would highly recommend them for any sit, as I’m confident in their experience and kind-heartedness. Upon returning, it was apparent that my pets were well taken care of and loved.
We won the zeewoi lottery when we found Jenna and Andy, a lovely young professional couple who live near us in the San Francisco Bay Area. From the initial receptive contact to a friendly get together at our house before the trip to easy and responsive communication (and photos of our dog) during our trip to Europe, Jenna and Andy are the best of the best. We feel so lucky to have found them to housesit. When we got home, our dog was very happy and looked well rested. They gave her a good brush which she really needed and I didn’t have time to do. Our house was spotless! Did they really stay here? Ha ha. They washed our bedding and towels, made the beds, cleaned the floors, etc. They also watered our plants and brought in all the mail. They are very responsible, respectful, honest, clean, caring, wonderful people who we trust above all. We highly recommend them! Thank you so much, Jenna and Andy!
Andrea was a wonderful sitter! She was very communicative from the start and was able to stop by and meet the kitties and familiarize herself with house before the sit started. She sent us beautiful pictures and let us know exactly how the cats were doing while we were away. The house was neat as a pin when we returned. We will definitely invite Andrea back!
