Smith the dog, Harold the cat, and the various chickens, (with the addition of a small tank of fish) made for a very good petsitting experience. Smith is a good ol' boy who just likes to be around you. He has arthritis which just requires monitoring on the stairs and a couple pills twice a day which he reliably consumes with the assistance of his "pill pockets". Harold stays on the porch most of the day and comes in when beckoned with a shake of his treat container. The Fish just need to be fed and the chickens just require the checking of food and water containers as well as checking in on the coop. For this you will be rewarded with a steady supply of fresh eggs. The family lives in a very nice house in the Berkeley Hills which, in my opinion, is one of the loveliest neighborhoods in the Bay. The houses' porches are all quite nice. Jane is easy to get along with and provides you with very detailed instructions and is good about responding to questions. All in all, would highly recommend.
I spent 6 weeks in Ulrike's house. The 3 dogs are very entertaining and easy to deal with. I felt very safe inside the property as they will be an alarm for any noise. They go around the property freely and check that everything is under control. The house is about 10 minutes by scooter from the city centre where you will find anything you need to make your stay pleasant. Dogs are quite independent and you will be able to enjoy daily adventures outside of the house. To move around you can rent a scooter or call the local uber called grab. Ulrike was very responsive to my messages, at times frequent as it took me some time to get acquainted with the area and the locals. The house is immersed in the jungle; to enjoy the stay, you must be ok with insects and lizards and possible long days of non-stop rain. For me was a good time so I can recommend the place.
Joanne was an amazing host and absolutely hospitable and sweet. Neo was a great cat and so easy to take care of. He was such a sweetie pie and would lie on my chest when we would watch tv or chill on the bed. He purrs a lot and loves relaxing! The house is located in a great location situated next to a bus stop that gets you to a train station straight to London’s city centre. It was a pleasure taking care of Neo and Joanne with her family were beyond kind and welcoming!
Jessica was an amazing host! Home was beatiful and they made sure is was comfortable the entire time!
I had the most wonderful time staying at Rohan and Urja's place! Their home was absolutely spotless and beautifully decorated, and the location couldn't have been better. Rohan and Urja were incredible hosts. They were super communicative and even left a detailed welcome guide that made taking care of their home and sweet Millie a breeze. Exploring San Francisco was a blast, especially since their place is within walking distance of the Painted Ladies, great shops, and delicious restaurants. Millie was the absolute highlight, though! She is the sweetest dog and loves to snuggle with you. We had some fun adventures together. Millie clearly loves the park so much that she almost wouldn't leave after a good playtime! (laughs) But with a little encouragement and a treat, we were always able to head back home. Millie can be a bit sensitive to loud noises and quick movements. It's just something to keep in mind to help her feel relaxed. There was a moment when I noticed Millie wasn't drinking much water, and I was a bit worried. Thankfully, Rohan and Urja were very responsive and offered some great tips. Turns out, she loved drinking after park visits and meals! Problem solved! It was a joy to look after Millie. I also genuinely appreciate Rohan and Urja's flexibility with my departure time – it really helped me make it to my next pet-sitting gig. Overall, it was a positive experience, and I wouldn't hesitate to house-sit for them again. They were fantastic hosts!
