We were very pleased with Sandra's care taking of our two dogs and home recently. Our area was caught by a a surprise early-season blizzard, which Sandra "weathered" with strength, patience, and a sense of humor. Sandra is very personable and friendly and our dogs took a strong liking to her. Everything was in tip-top shape upon our return.
Jenny and Joe were wonderful hosts! Shiso and Punkin are very sweet and playful. Punkin loves to be cuddle in the sofa and Shiso loves to cuddle in the bed! I really enjoyed taking care of them! Jenny and Joe were very nice to also accommodate my boyfriend in the first night and made us feel extremely comfortable and at home! They even left us delicious Amaro and fresh berries! Jenny was always kind and replied very fast to my messages. They were also very flexible to adapt to my routine. During the time there was only one incident in which Punkin ate my underwear, but Jenny handled it very nicely promptly provided replacement for what was damaged! I would very much recommend this sitting and would be happy to do it again! :)
Mia is a sweet old girl. She liked her daily time outside and came inside when ready. She was also very polite in asking for her meals. So cute. And, it was very simple to apply her medicine.
Carol was a perfect host. She has a cozy home that was so easy to relax in. We spent most evenings enjoying the peace and quiet in front of the fireplace. Carol was very welcoming and communication was quick and easy. Her welcome guide is very detailed and has everything you need to know. We would visit Carol and Mia again if the timing worked out. We had a great time.
It was such a joy to spend time with Potter and Peyton in Lisa’s beautiful, spacious, light filled home! We just couldn’t be happier with this sit. Lisa was extremely kind and generous, leaving her home in pristine condition for us and arranging things so that we could maximize our enjoyment and minimize our effort during our stay with Potter and Peyton. Throughout the sit, Lisa was communicative and quickly and compassionately responded to our questions. Lisa clearly loves animals and makes it her mission to nurture animals and humans alike. She also made a point of clearing out plenty of space in her refrigerator and even cleared out drawers and closet space for us so we could completely unpack. Lisa’s home is in a beautiful, quiet, convenient location. We walked out the front door and views of the mountains were already right there in front of us. Lots of impressively large deer frequently visited the backyard and looked into the house. The house is just a fifteen minute drive away from trailheads inside the must-see ‘Garden of the Gods’ park. About half of that 15 minute drive is already in the park, with absolutely stunning views. It was easy to get out for a hike, return home for lunch and then venture out again. Supermarkets, shops and all kinds of restaurants were also easy access by car. The house itself was comfortable and had everything we needed, and we just felt really good being there. We miss Potter and Peyton (sadly, Dobby passed away shortly before our sit began). It was such a pleasure coming home to them- they made us smile and gave us warm fuzzies many times each day. Both Potter and Peyton were very sweet and gentle, with their own distinct personalities and habits. Potter was more playful and active, but was still very snuggly and just looooooved belly rubs. He enjoyed hanging out on the back of the sofa or in Milton’s lap while Milton was working. Peyton tended to be more standoffish during the day, but at night she transformed into a complete snuggle bug who loved sleeping with us, curled up near my face for most of the night, sometimes letting me hold her almost as if she were a teddy bear. This was a wonderful sit. We wholeheartedly recommend it and would absolutely love to sit for Lisa, Potter and Peyton again!!
I loved this sit as the hosts were very kind and welcoming and had prepared thorough pet and home care, which I always appreciate. I was collected from the train station and dropped off on the final day and found the house immaculate and both dogs lovely and playful. The local area is pawfect for dog walks as it is surrounded by open spaces and the local villagers were very friendly. Communication was regular and pleasant via WhatsApp. Another great experience. Staying at Julie’s place in San Miguel del Allende was a true delight! Nellie, Mavi, Coochie, Rocky and Matilda are such sweet dogs. They will capture your heart instantly! They are very well behaved, interesting and fun to be with. Very affectionate. SMA is an amazing city and Julie’s home is close enough for me to walk (it is steep in places), yet far enough away that the noise from the Centro is barely heard. Highly recommended!
Robert was very kind and welcoming and his home was in such a great location that me and Annie (the doggie) had sooo many unique adventures! So much to do! Annie was the sweetest dog I’ve maybe ever met. Such a little friend. And Lily the cat is the sweetest weird little baby and will sit and purr as long as you’re into it! Plus I made friends with Robert’s neighbors- everyone is so nice! You’ll have a great time!
