Wow what a great sit! Paul and Susie are the loveliest people and did so much to make me feel at home. They left treats out for me (and Betty!) and thoughtfully left me a vegan recipe to try. I really appreciated all of the helpful notes that they left around the house about how to turn things on/off or what should not go in the dishwasher. They generously invited me to stay extra nights when my camping plans changed due to a road closure. They were also quick to respond over text when anything came up. Their home is beautiful and in a walkable area that’s right at the center of everything in Pacific Grove, but also peaceful and quiet and very safe. Lots of beautiful places to walk, shop, eat and a sweet farmer’s market nearby. Now onto my beautiful Betty! Betty is an absolute joy and the best girl. She is quite the snuggler and adores people. She will make you laugh and provides excellent company. She’s very well behaved if a little boisterous and knows several commands. I already miss her! This was a wonderful experience and I would sit again for Betty in a heartbeat.
It was a real treat staying at Mimi's sweet farmstead. It is a lovely and private spot at the end of the road with a river in the back and view of the mountains in the front. I enjoyed the farm chores of caring for the horses and the chickens. The cats were great company and very entertaining and loved to play. Mimi is a great host and made me feel so welcome and at home.
Sitting for Teddy was dreamy! Kindra & Ilia’s sanctuary was super comfortable and fun to be in, and they were very communicative, kind, and generous. Teddy is such a love! He’s very easy to care for, and an adorable, cuddly, lovable cat. Their apartment is in a convenient location and the roof of their building has a gorgeous panoramic view of LA with a hot tub. It felt very safe too. It was a lovely experience and I’d highly recommend!
We had an excellent week on Dartmoor with the lovely King Charles, Lola! Becky and Simon were brilliant too, inviting us down the afternoon before so we could do a walk with Lola and show us their stunning house. We didn't get chance to explore the local area much but the local forest walks are stunning (if a little wet in Autumn!) and the village is very sweet with an excellent pub (good food and beer) Lola was a gem to look after - very sweet and calm when we were working, which was excellent. She would then present you with one of her toys and sit there patiently waiting for you to throw it. Very cute! Jason and Becky were excellent communicators before and during the sit which made things very easy for us. The house was very comfortable, with amazing views and we enjoyed using the log burner on cooler days, which heated up the open plan kitchen/living/dining area. Overall a brilliant sit, thank you Jason, Becky and Lola for making it so great!
