I had a great time sitting for Amanda in Zurich. We arranged the sit last minute & everything went smoothly. Amanda communicated everything I needed to know before I arrived & was organised, with everything ready for a comfortable stay when I arrived. The quiet studio apartment is in a friendly, green community space & it is well located. Everything you need is nearby & it is very close to the incredible Zurich public transport system for getting to anywhere in & around Zurich easily. There are several lovely gardens dotted about for exploring with Diva & the best, in my opinion, was that it was quick to go on foot from the door to the forests & explore the Uetliberg, Zurich's mountain! Diva is a darling, she was nervous for the first day, but once she got used to my presence & had relaxed around me, she quickly became very affectionate & liked to snooze next to me whilst I worked. Caspar & Noa were friendly & cuddly from the first moment I arrived & they were so much fun! They always came with us when I walked Diva around the communal garden which was a treat. I felt like I had 3 awesome flat-mates whilst I was staying there! One point that I feel is important to mention, whilst I was there there was no wifi in the apartment & my mobile contract didn't allow me to roam outside of Europe. Amanda kindly arranged for me to have a prepaid SIM which I was able to setup with unlimited data for my stay & I could easily work using my phone as 'personal hotspot' for my laptop. I wouldn't hesitate to sit again! moltes gracies Amanda, Diva, Caspar & Noa!
I absolutely loved sitting for Corrie and Kieran and their sweet furbabies. Their home is absolutely amazing, with a 180 degree view of Lake Osoyoos, wraparound deck, and all the comforts and space you could want. Their senior chihuahua Sydney is the sweetest thing and followed me everywhere, loved to be held and talked to, and sat next to me sleeping as I worked remotely (I really miss him actually!). Their cat MJ was also a sweetie, she sat with me too as I worked, and we played with her little feather toy when she wasn't sleeping in the sun. Their other cat Blackie was a bit shy so I didn't see too much of her. Corrie was my main contact before and during the housesit, and she gave me all the info I needed and was available for any questions, and to send pictures to about what her cute pets were up to while she was away. She also provided me contact info of both her neighbours should I need anything, and we took Sydney on a walk around the neighbourhood so I felt comfortable and fully informed before they left. I would absolutely return to sit for them in the future and can recommend this sit to anyone. Corrie and Kieran are the nicest couple, their pets are lovely, and their home is incredible.
This was a great house sit! I would go back to Twickenham without hesitation! JP and I communicated well from beginning to end without any issues, but we also let each other enjoy the time away without talking every single day, which is great for an independent person! That worked out well for us. Any questions I had were answered promptly though, so it made for an easy and relaxed stay. The family is obviously doing something right because their pets are AWESOME!! The cat was outside a lot because the weather was fantastic, but she is very sweet! And Rocco, what can I say, he absolutely stole a piece of my heart while I was there! He is so fun! If you enjoy being outdoors, there is a great park nearby to take him to everyday. Watching him run around and swim was a delight! He is sweet, funny, and a good listener. And so adorable! I can't imagine someone not liking that dog! I also enjoyed the neighborhood and the stores, cafes, and pubs within walking distance. Buses up the road are also super convenient for getting to other places. I found this house sit very easy and very enjoyable and would recommend it to anyone! ;)
Gill & Mike made us a welcoming meal on arrival. Would recommend sitting the cats and ducks in this beautiful part of France. Interesting places to see.
I had a wonderful stay with Eliza and Martin. They welcomed me almost two full days before they were going so I had time to explore Ottawa before staying with Stella in the house. We had great conversation and they were very welcoming. Stella is very sweet and affectionate dog, she knows what she wants and make it very clear. I was very happy to spend time with this little princess and would recommand this sit to anyone. =)
Although Rosie and I never met in person, we had a great time with Dyllis, Joshua, and Monty, although they were disobedient a few times sitting on cushions, perhaps they were protesting Rosie's absence. Rosie's instructions were excellent and if I had any questions she swiftly responded. The house was well located and spacious, and Rosie kindly arranged for one child to have a private bedroom. I barely met Tigger as she was outside most of the time, and Pussy Willow moved quietly in the bedroom. She jumped on me once whilst sleeping and after I gently moved her off she didn't do it again. Rosie very kindly asked me to stay longer but I had other commitments. I would love to return again if invited.
