Chemda was fantastic. My communication was chaotic and she put up with it amazingly. She showed initiative and real care
Oranized, took gret care of the cats.
This stay was a real experience for me. A hen had a chick and three peacock chicks hatched. The three dogs were great. Atticus is as easy going as can be, loves food and belly rubs. Maudie is a beauty, smart and independent. Callie, the runaway, unfortunately had to be on leash when I took the dogs for a walk to the creek. Of course she pulled a lot as long as she had the other two dogs, running free, in front of her. Swimming in the stream was peaceful and a real delight! The feral cats kept to themselves, I could only approach them in the barnyard, where they were out of reach of the dogs and let me pet them. Almost like paradise. Unfortunately, the goats and sheep were then attacked by unknown animals, one was killed immediately. Two were so badly injured that one died two days later and the other had to be shot. A neighbor helped me in any way he could to cope with the situation. Lisa and Ed were also available and responded quickly to all my questions throughout the sit. Even though there were a lot of animals, it usually took no more than an hour a day to feed them and monitor their water. Watering the extensive vegetable and flower beds with a hose during the hot spell took longer. Despite the sad and tragic event, I had a great time on the farm and wouldn't have wanted to miss it for anything.
I LOVE THESE CATS and I miss them already. Each cat has such a unique personality. Melissa was kind and welcoming, and communication with her was excellent before and during the sit. Her home is such a warm, comfortable, and positive place - I felt like home. Thank you for sharing your cats and home with me. I enjoyed my time there and really appreciated the detailed instructions you left. Hope we see each other again soon.
Relaxing nature getaway near a creek and trailhead. Carol was kind and communicative!
We cannot recommend this housesit highly enough. It was one of the most relaxing ones we have done, partly because the house is so lovely and easy to look after and partly because Basil is the cutest easiest, most loving cavapoo ever. We were able to take Basil to the woods across the road, for long walks along the river, and even the pub a couple of times, he loved it all. He is so well behaved we pretty much took him everywhere with us. There is a large utility/boot room for washing Basil down which was a godsend for the time of year we were there. Buddy the Hamster was also great fun - well as much fun as a Hamster can be!! He was easy to look after and his cage didn't take much effort to clean out. Rebecca provided a comprehensive guide and we had a tour of the house on arrival. we were made very welcome and felt totally happy that we had every thing we needed to know. The kitchen/dining area was beautiful, underfloor heating and Aga meant that despite the size of the room it was always toasty, and views out to the garden were lovely. We didn't really use the other rooms because this was such a pleasant space. As sitters we know how important the bedrooom and bathroom are - both exceeded our expectations, the bed was really comfortable with lovely linens, and the bathroom had an enormous bath and great shower. This is a great sit and we would love to go back again, we can't thank Rebecca enough for making it such a great experience for us. David and Stephanie
