Maria was excellent to deal with, being incredibly warm and welcoming the moment we got in touch. We met up a few weeks prior to our sit, just to say hello, meet her cats and for her to show us around her home. She kindly suggested we settle in a few days ahead of her leaving which meant she didn't have to rush through her handover, allowing her to take her time running us through some finer points on looking after Rafa, Luna, Miguelle and Mia, making sure they were as happy as could be whilst she was away. As well as leaving clear and easy instructions for us to follow, Maria also kept in excellent contact with us throughout her trip, always being helpful and quick to respond to any questions we happened to have, despite being away in Australia! Rafa, Miguelle, Luna and Mia are all wonderful cats and were an absolute pleasure to look after, warming to us quickly after a little grooming and play-time. Mia and Miguelle are particularly affectionate and sociable and clearly enjoyed our company, especially in the garden on sunny days and relaxing with us in the evenings on the sofa. Miguelle did need daily medication, although Maria had kindly arranged for a nurse to visit each evening to administer this, which was beyond helpful. All in all, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Maria's and we'll certainly miss having Miguelle, Rafa, Luna and Mia around! Thank you for having us to stay in your wonderful home.
This was a great sit. Mark and Jean are a warm hearted couple who made me feel very welcome in their home. I really enjoyed my stay there. Sparkle is a wonderful dog and we enjoyed each other's company greatly. There are several different walks around the area., including up a nearby hill which gives you great views of the surrounding areas. I would recommend this sit and I hope to be able to another myself should the opportunity arise.
We had a very good stay in Koula and David 's home. The house is very nice, the dogs and cats are loving animals that you have pleasure looking after. Nice walks, towns and pubs around. A real pleasure and on top they took us a long way to our transport when we left.
I absolutely loved my stay at Amy's! Amy is an absolute sweetheart! She had taken time to send me some very helpful videos to answer any questions I may have during my stay prior to my arrival. She was also very easy to contact and stayed in touch with me for the duration of my stay. Amy had even given me some great local recommendations! Her flat is immaculate. It is very clean and cosy- trust me when I say you'll want to stay inside or on the balcony all day. Percy is an absolute gem, and so lovely to hang out with. He is such an easy going cat and loves spending his days playing and enjoying the balcony. I loved sitting outside with him and enjoying a cup of tea. Amy and Percy are lovely and I cannot recommend this stay enough!
Mia is a sweet little dog that is happy to be at the house with you. She is very well trained and obedient. The house is a neat and cozy home. It’s nice to be in the countryside and out of the city but the city is easy to get to. You can walk to the bus from the house and any grocery shops. Rachel and Thibaut were very hospitable and thorough about going over everything in the house. They were always quick to respond if I had any questions. I really enjoyed my time here with sweet Mia!

This was the first, but certainly not the last time we used Purrfect Paws to look after our boy. Sharon was prompt with communication and her “meet and greet” visit. The setting up of a WhatsApp group enabled Sharon and Carly to send daily updates and photos. This also showed us what a great time Loki had with his “Aunties” (especially the bag of treats and tricks!). He was well looked after and that’s what you want from a great pet sitting service. These girls are amazing! So highly recommended. Both carly and Sharon managed to get my boys to play with toys and be so loving to them when they normally don't. Our wee gizmo is such a timid boy and by the end of the first week he was up giving the girls love which was so reassuring to both me and my partner. 1000/10 recommend for your fur-babies🥰

I was so nervous about leaving my cat for the first time but Sharon and her team were fab! They arranged a home visit for me to meet them and feel comfortable and of course for the cat to met them too. The team kept in constant contact with me on the run up to them looking after the cat and during too with lots of pictures and updates making sure I knew my cat had her medicine etc! They really made me feel at ease about leaving. I would highly recommend Sharon and her team, your animal is very well loved in the care of her ❤️
Our cat is very nervous around new people, but Sharon was very patient and understanding - we couldn’t have asked for more. This was our first time using a service like this but would definitely recommend. I especially loved the daily photos, a lovely touch!
I recently used Purrfect Paws Midlothian for my two cats. I have to say, from the moment I contacted Sharon, she was so professional and very helpful. Cherie came to meet us and our cats and discussed all the details. It definitely took all the stress and worry away as I just knew they were going to get well looked after. While we were away it was lovely to receive daily updates and pictures when Cherie visited. The cats were happy when we returned. We will definitely be using this service again and again.

Sharon looked after our cat, Jasmine, wonderfully; spending quality time with her each day and sending me updates after each visit, which allowed us to enjoy our time away without worry. Sharon has an excellent way with cats; Jasmine is usually very timid and nervous around other people but she took really well to Sharon. I will definitely be using Purrfect Paws whenever we go away.
Purrfect Paws recently looked after my 3 cats when I was away for 10 days. Sharon and her Team were wonderful and I can't recommend them enough. By the end of the time I was completely confident that all the people who were looking out for my cats knew them all very well. My cats were so cared for, played with and petted and fed well which is saying something as 2 of my guys have complex feeding requirements and dodgy appetites. What a great first experience using Purrfect Paws to look after our boy Socks while we were on holiday. We were updated daily with pictures of him having loads of fun with the ladies! He has been looked after so well and Heather, Holly and Sharon went above and beyond to make sure he was safe and sound. Unfortunately, my dog was involved in an ‘incident’ while in their care. I spoke with bark n fly on the phone at 12pm 7th of March while at work and was told that a dog had ran over to mine and had bitten him on the ear (“nipped”) and there were some marks left underneath his front shoulder. We were told that he did not need picked up early and was fine after the incident as he was acting like himself. I was told it was up to owners if they wanted to opt for stitches on the ear or let it heal itself but to possibly get some antibiotics from the vet to avoid infection. I had booked my dog into the vet just to be sure. I was told the dogs had been separated and that the other owner would be told about the incident. I was also told that it would’ve been my dog that would get moved groups in future as he had been placed with the larger dogs. When I arrived to collect my dog, he came limping down the steps and I initially was looking for the cut on his ear when I noticed there was a major cut on his leg. After seeing my dog close up I could tell he would need stitches at the top of his leg and there would definitely be no ‘owner choice’ in regards to his wound. The worker told me he had been asleep for the last 2 hours which is very out of character for my young beagle and he has never done that while at day care before. I told the worker that he clearly needs stitches and they looked at his wound and addressed my dog and asked him if he had been “licking it while I wasn’t watching”. No amount of licking could have caused the open wound on his arm, I had no response to this and picked him up to go to the vets. I could see that my dog had been bitten multiple times and this was not a result of playing. I had to lift my dog to the car as he refused to walk any further and I left in tears. After taking my dog to the vet, they could see that he would need stitches and booked him in for the following morning. He had to be injected with antibiotics and painkillers, wound cleaned and given a cone to stop him making the cut worse. My insurance covered the £550 vet bills but I paid £160 excess for his injuries. In his procedure he had to get 3 different lots of stitches. After seeking a dog walker, they also had a look at the injuries and described it as he had clearly been mauled by the other dog. I was not told that the other dog who had done this would no longer be allowed to attend the daycare and I also feel upset that their owner will not know the extent of the incident and will not hear the final outcome. I had no confirmation about what had been said to the other owner. I wish that I had known the extent of his injury and I would have collected him straight away and taken him to the vet rather than him being hurt and left for 4 hours. Since then, Bark N Fly told me that they would pay me back the excess amount of £160 which took 2 months to receive back. I am only posting my experience now as although I stopped using their services I feel that other dogs owners should know about my dogs experience using Bark N Fly.
We've used Bark n Fly's services several times now and have been impressed each time. The gentleman that does the pick up is always kind and patient, and when we went to the place in person the staff were also helpful. We thought the facilities were impressive, too. Our dog (pictured in our local park) is very nervous of people but Bark n Fly assured us she'd be okay and have been most professional. I would absolutely recommend them if you need your dog cared for.
My pup Daisy loves the day care facilities at Bark n Fly. The pickup/drop off service is really handy. Daisy recently stayed for just under a week in the boarding services and had a great time, I appreciated the pictures of her playing and living her best life! Will definitely keep using Bark n Fly and highly recommend
This is the first time we have used kennels for our two dogs Winnie and Mylo, Dawn and her team were great and helped us get everything organised for their stay. Winnie is a typical outgoing wee white fluff ball but Mylo is quite a nervous dog but they were so good and caring with him and the genuine affection shown by Abby and the other staff helped him relax, come out of his shell and enjoy his stay. This was our first time using the boarding service at Bark n Fly. When we picked our Westie Mara up after a wee, she tried to run back inside the building - so she must have absolutely loved it! Staff were friendly and gave some nice feedback on her stay. We will definitely use you again when we go away.
20 min waiting for someone at reception and nothing. Looks like I will lose my appointment at 10am due to not being able to leave my dogs for care. If you leave your dog here make sure you have enough, more than enough time. Looks like a nice place but no one at the front. Edited review - Don’t know how to reply to the “lies” I called - someone said would be there soon (disregarding the las two, dialled by mistake) so yes, there are calls. Be aware that someone answered so this is not a lie - perhaps you don’t know the call is registered on the callers phone. I was there at 9:22 with one of my dogs outside - took the picture because I knew this would be contested. So, yes, I did follow the instructions given in the door and yet nothing. Again, looks like a nice place but give yourself plenty, plenty of time and maybe someone will be at the reception.
Fantastic day care and boarding centre. Very friendly and helpful staff, and super convenient pick up / drop off service. When our dog was a puppy we really liked that we could get her acclimated to being away by starting with a half day at day care, progressing to a full day, and then to overnight stays. Our dog always loves her time there and comes home very sleepy from all the playing!

The Bark n Fly is amazing! They’re services are great! They picked up and delivered our dogs and both drivers were friendly, helpful and so patient with Ruby and Leia! We also could follow them on Instagram and check how much fun the dogs had playing around! They arrived home very happy (and equally exhausted because of the great time they had). I have no words to express how grateful we are to have found such nice people to take care of them while we are away 💙
We have a very active 18 months old GSP, who has struggled with home boarding so decided to try Bark’n’Fly. The team were very knowledgeable and gave us great advice on how to help her adjust to staying overnight. Coco has now been going for 3 months and her separation anxiety is gone! She recognises the staff and can’t wait to play in the fields with all the other dogs. We love checking Instagram to see if we can see a picture of Coco having fun on their account! I recommend the team and the set up, especially if you have an active dog, it’s great for them to be able to play all day
Waggy Wanderers have been fabulous helping walk/entertain our big fella while myself and the wife are out at work all day. You'll get a serious amount of videograhy and photos of your prized fur ball out and about on his adventures with Laura and his wee doggy pals too which is brilliant to see (few high quality snaps attached for example). Great service 👏
Laura pet sat my house rabbit for a week and was absolutely amazing. It's always scary leaving your pet with someone new for the first time (especially when they're quite sensitive and not particularly fond of people like my boy is!) but Laura was very competent and kind, and really respected his individual needs. I could tell from the daily updates she sent that he was comfortable and being looked after very well, which was so reassuring whilst I was away. She was an absolute godsend and I wouldn't hesitate to have her pet sit for me again in the future.
Laura at Waggy Wanderers Pet Care is simply amazing with our fur baby. From day one she’s worked with us to meet our dogs needs and has helped with his training hugely. Laura takes time to get to know the dogs and really does cater for individual needs. She’s also super flexible and always try’s her best to meet our schedule. I couldn’t recommend Laura more!! Added bonus that Laura shares updates/photos of the walks with us via WhatsApp and Facebook which is so lovely to see. Our dog absolutely loves his time with his Laura!
We have 2 rescue dogs that can be very nervous on walks, and Laura is great with them and they love when they go on their walks with Laura. Laura has been very flexible when helping organise walks to fit the dogs with my shift work, She is very trustworthy and I would highly recommend Laura to anyone.

Laura has been, and is, a fantastic dog walker. She has been walking our dog since Lunan was just 12 weeks old (initially she did call-in puppy visits and then went from solo walks to integrating Lunan into group walks which are fantastic for socialising and tiring out our little one 😊). Laura communicates regularly with photos and videos to show how our dog got on that day/ week as well as checking in each week to ensure what services we need. Laura is incredibly flexible as she has changed days, times and even looked after Lunan in the evening time when events have arisen we have needed to attend. We landed so lucky with Laura and I cannot endorse her enough. She’s diligent, flexible and above all, a lover of dogs(and animals of all types): what else do you need from a dog walker?
Highly recommended. Friendly, professional service and the cats love her. Laura looked after our cats for a week, and we returned to two very chilled and happy cats, she even won over our male cat who can be very aloof with strangers! Laura sent us regular updates and even took care of watering the plants etc, we’ll definitely be using waggy wanderers again.

My hens and duck boarded here. Kevin was extremely helpful, accommodating and put my mind at rest from the offset. When I met him I found somebody who truly cared about birds and was definitely going to look after them well. I had an update that they had settled in which is so reassuring. My girls came home looking fit, happy and healthy. This is true value for money in a caring and secure environment with somebody who went the extra mile to ensure my needs were met.

Absolutely fantastic experience leaving our dog with Lena. She calmed him down and figured out ways to keep him happy and safe, as he is a very anxious little dog when first time with new sitters. We couldn't with for a better experience. Lena also kept us updated through the day, adjusted to our crazy timeline between meetings and work. Absolutely great. No words, just everything is perfect!
Lena took great care if our 11 month old pup. It was our first time leaving her and we were worried about how she'd find it but Lena did an amazing job. She shows real compassion for the dog and the family, sending many updates with thoughtful messages. We would have no hesitation recommending Lena and would definitely book her again.
Our dog had a wonderful 2 night, weekend stay with Lena. He can be a bit anxious but Lena took all our notes thoughtfully and created a relaxing environment for our Bedlington whippet. I think they had a great time together! Wouldn’t hesitate to have him stay with her again. Highly recommend :)
We’re absolutely delighted with the care that Lena gave to our 15 month old pup, Pascal and our cat, Midnight while staying with them in our house this past weekend. We were nervous about leaving them, especially Pascal as he can be quite anxious when we’re not around and he’s still young pup in training! We approached Lena due to her experience with anxious pups and her excellent reviews. It was absolutely the best decision! She really took her time to get to know us and Pascal. She asked us lots of questions about his routine and about his experience with a different sitter which hadn’t gone so well and we discussed what would help make this a really good sit. We booked a meet and great and a walk the week prior to us going so Pascal and Lena could get to know each other, so she could see how he was on the lead (we’d just introduced knew training techniques that we were keen were continued) and so we could show Lena round the house. When we left on Friday we were so confident that Pascal and Midnight were in the best hands. Lena sent us really thoughtful updates throughout the weekend which was so reassuring and we were really able to relax and have a great time away. We came home to happy pets and a tidy house - we couldn’t be happier! We won’t hesitate to book Lena again and fully recommend her!
Lena has watched our two little dogs many times now for a few days at a time up to a week. She has stayed at our flat a few times while watching them and is a very thoughtful house guest. Each time she takes such great care of them and sends us lots of videos and pictures (which we love!) and takes them on long walks (which they love!). We can tell she adores them and treats them so well, which is important for us while we’re away from them. I definitely recommend trusting Lena with your little one(s)!
Bandit’s first day with Lena went really well. She got him settled - chilled out, in fact - quickly. She sent lots of photos and videos to reassure me he was happy and having a good day. I’m sure Bandit will be back, Lena!
July 2024 Our Shih Tzus returned to Lena’s care this time for a 16 night stay in her home. The dogs were happy to return, greeting Lena enthusiastically! They quickly settled in while Lena took time to discuss any of their needs which may have changed since their last visit. Lena kept me updated daily with photos, videos and voice messages regarding their daily adventures. Their walks were varied and they clearly enjoyed spending time with Lena whether out and about or relaxing at home. Once again Lena went above and beyond, ensuring our dogs wellbeing and safety were taken care of. She has a real understanding of their personalities and needs. It will come as no surprise, that I would highly recommend Lena and that our dogs will return to her care again in the future.
Our Brucey had an amazing time with Lena as always, whilst we were getting married. He even got us a card 😊😊😊 Lena is the only person we are comfortable leaving little B with as he has massive separation anxiety and attention demands. Thank you again. …
Our two little Dachshunds loved being looked after by Lena in our home. Lena gave the dogs super walks and lots of attention, sharing this on videos to us every day, so we could see how content they were. Lena left our house very neat and tidy for our return and did every thing she could for us throughout her stay. Happy to recommend Lena to others. 😊

Christine is a trustworthy and extremely reliable lady. Our dog absolutely adores her. Christine keeps me up to date on his progress, and sometimes sends photos of their walks. Lucy has walked and home boarded My dog Lucy for 11 years. She is reliable, honest and looks after my dog extremely well whilst she has her in her care. Very reasonable when needing extra walks and understanding when the dogs are unwell. Dogs health are Christine’s priority! Would not use anyone else!!
Christine has checked on and walked my boys since they were pups. They go absolutely wild when they see her, it's clear that they adore her. One of my boys was paralysed and had back surgery and a long recovery a few years ago, Christine was fabulous throughout the whole recovery, changing our walks to home visits when he couldn't walk, and then back to walks when he had recovered well - always keeping me updated on how he was getting on. Christine has looked after our dog Alfie and last dog Jenny. She has always looked after them brilliantly and they both adored her. She has gone the extra mile on numerous occasions including going and rescuing a terrified Jenny from our house during a thunderstorm and comforting her till we got home. Both dogs were rescued and being Jack Russells they are on the stubborn side, but Christine has taken the time to get to know them so well, kept them in line and won them over- no mean feat! Simply could not ask for a better service.
I moved into the same area as Christine almost 3 years ago and she has looked after my bulldog Luna when I am working since then. Christine is by far Luna’s favourite person in the world and you you can tell she is well cared for and Christine loves Luna back just as much! As well as an awesome dog walker I have also found a friend in Christine with our shared love of bulldogs. Highly recommend 💚
Christine has been walking and dog sitting Dougal since we moved to Musselburgh over a year ago. Dougal hit it off with Christine from day one and loves his walks. She goes absolutely above and beyond and has saved me at the last minute on a number of occasions due to last minute work changes. Christine is a superb dog walker and my dog is exceptionally well looked after by her. The comments in this review from Paul and Yvonne should be ignored, they are obviously a couple of sad people who spend their time hanging about watching hard working people go about their business. Interesting that they regularly provide reviews on the same businesses, I have a suspicion they are actually the same person. Christine does a wonderful job looking after her dogs, Paul and Yvonne are clearly a couple of very strange people. Hazel looked after our Springer Spaniel Lacey while we were away on holiday. We were nervous to leave her behind as Lacey can get overwhelmed with new places and dogs but she fit right in. Hazel made sure to update us with lots of photos multiple times a day which made us feel right at ease - we could see how much Lacey enjoyed her holiday (especially stealing Fara’s bed)! We will definitely use Hazel again in the future.
Our 12 year old rescue dog, Brooke, spent a couple of nights here in August 2024 and loved her stay. We were a little worried beforehand as Brooke has only ever stayed with family but, honestly, we shouldn't have been at all concerned. Hazel views each dog's stay as their holiday and makes sure that they are integrated into the home, have plenty of walks and attention. We got lots of updates and photos to show that Brooke had settled and was enjoying her stay. Brooke is already booked in for a couple of additional dates following a successful stay :)
This is the second time Yogi has stayed with Hazel and family and I honestly couldn’t recommend them enough. I have always felt so comfortable leaving our dog Yogi with them and look forward to the daily updates and photos. You can see truly how happy yogi is when he is there. Your dog will be treated like family at the bed and bone dog home boarding and we love that. We are so grateful to have such wonderful people look after our fur baby while we are away.
Hazel looked after our dogs while we were attending a wedding and they couldn’t have been looked after any better! She sent me loads of photos and pupdates over the weekend and I could see they were happy and comfortable. I would highly recommend using this business as your dogs will be in safe hands. Rocco and Freya, both Spaniels, had a fantastic time on holiday with Hazel, Malcolm and family. The whole experience went very smoothly from the initial meet and great, trial sleepover and holiday time. I could tell from the initial meeting that Hazel and Malcolm both love dogs and made such a fuss (and friends) with them very quickly. Hazel was great at keeping me up to date with all their adventures on their walks and chilling at their house on the couch! Really a home from home experience! They had a fab time and got on so well with their dog, Fara. I would fully recommend Hazel - 100% and Rocco and Freya are so looking forward to their next holiday. Thank you both so much, it allowed me to relax and enjoy my holiday!
We boarded our two golden retrievers in September and could not recommend highly enough ! Our dogs were loved and cared and it was a joy to be away knowing they were being so cared for. Hazel and Malc have such a well run professional caring business and I will be using their service again for sure
Phoebe came to stay with Hazel and family for 3 nights, it was her first time staying away without us so I was a bit nervous but was put at ease immediately, from the meet and greet beforehand, dropping her off and lots of lovely photos and updates over the time we were away! I will definitely use Bed and Bone again it’s so nice to know she is being well looked after in a lovely home environment, when we picked her up although she was very excited to see us it was also lovely to see her obvious affection for Hazel so a big thumbs up from Phoebe too.
We felt from the outset that Hazel and Malcolm would take great care of our dog - they were kind, caring and very conscientious, asking all the right questions and meeting her (and me!) before she went to board with them. Our dog is a bit of a velcro dog, and we certainly felt she was well looked after and loved during her stay. We got lots of photos which was really reassuring as Vesper looked like she was having a great time!

Heidi loves her time with this family. They treat my dog like she’s their own and Heidi never wants to leave. They take her great walks and I get so many fabulous updates which makes me feel confident that she’s in great hands. Heidi and I are so grateful for them and their excellent service.

Roux and Baxter love their weekly daycare trips to Sandy paws on a Tuesday and It’s lovely to know that when we go on holiday our dogs are looked after so well when they are in for boarding. Wouldn’t send our dogs anywhere else. X

Ruth at PetStay is an absolute legend. Every time I’ve needed to book our toller in she’s linked us up with a wonderful carer (same family every time luckily, our dog loves them). She also linked a family members dog up with a carer a week before our wedding when there were no other options which saved the day. Fab service and can’t praise enough 😊
Could not recommend Petstay or Ruth highly enough. Immediately felt at ease during our first meeting with Ruth and Ann & Les. It is very obvious they love dogs and Max could sense that too as was not bothered when we left him. Regularly updated with photos & videos of his adventures. Max had a ball. He can't wait for his next visit in a few weeks.
Avoid, avoid, avoid. Pet Stay said they could cover a weekend for me. Booked to meet a carer - I had to take a day annual leave because the carer’s availability was so limited. Pet Stay cancelled this at short notice. They then rebooked me with someone else. This was also then cancelled. Spent a month wasting time emailing back and forth in total. This seems like a really disorganised and unreliable company - I’d not trust them with my dog.

Shannon and Daniel are lovely approachable people dedicated to animals. My puppy loves going to doggy day care and I am very impressed on how good they have helped train him on the lead. I am very confident that my puppy will have Top Dogs in his life for a long time and will help me with any problems I need help with.

We had a death in the family and travelled to Peebles for the funeral. All our local dog boarders were full, so our Bella had to adventure the journey along with us from South Devon. When I contacted Daniel, he instantly put me at ease that they'd be able to take care of Bella on the day of the funeral and offered for her to stay as long as needed. We left Bella early in the morning and she was very contend when we fetched her late afternoon. Thank you Daniel and Shannon helping us out in this difficult time with us knowing Bella was in such good hands 🐶🥰
Absolutely delighted with the regular doggy daycare that Shannon and Daniel give our Milo. He absolutely loves his days playing with his wee pals, living his best life! His confidence around other dogs has also came on amazingly which has made his boring walks at home so much nicer. They are worth a million times more than the very little they charge.
Daniel and Shannon are most reliable and know how to respond to our dog who can be a handful. They are extremely flexible and we have come to rely on them to assist because we are both fully employed. Our dog Pip loves her walks with them. Also good photographers. We would thoroughly recommend them
Our two working border collies boys have just been in for Doggie Day Care and I would highly recommend! As they are (much loved) farm dogs, sometimes they can struggle to settle in to new places, but they were so relaxed and happy when we collected them! Would definitely reccomend and will be back! Thank you so much again.

I have 2 very needy dachshunds and was recommended to use Top Dog Sitting from a local Facebook page. I contacted them to look after our dogs for a week whilst we went on holiday and I couldn’t be anymore happier with the their service. They kept us updated throughout the week and our dogs were so happy (and exhausted from the walks and fun!). I have since used them for an emergency cover with short notice and was again put at ease knowing the dogs are in the best hands. Would highly recommend!
I got let down by my kennels at the last minute before going to a wedding and top dog was brilliant they took the booking at the last minute and even managed my 1 year old chowski who is quite nervous around strangers her first groom. They kept me informed on how she was getting on and looked after her beautifully I couldn't rate them high enough thank you so much for looking after my baby so well I would definitely recommend them to anyone who has a dog they do doggy day care and night stays and grooms the full package in one place and they treated my dog like a queen thanks so much top dog in peebles
Top Dogs are excellent: they are punctual and completely reliable. My Border Terrier is afraid of other dogs and can be difficult, but he loves his walks with Top Dogs. They handle him with sensitivity and I'm very confident that he's in good hands. They are also flexible. I often have to ask for extra walks at short notice and that's never a problem. I thoroughly recommend them.
Our gang of 4 cats Jack, Tink, Bella and Barney stayed with Laurie at Maple House Cattery just recently. The service we received and the care and attention my cats were given was just amazing from the start. Laurie has been extremely helpful and professional, inviting me to visit the cattery before booking to see the facilities and has been very understanding of everyones needs, including my own - THANK YOU!. Tink is a very nervous traveller (had a wee accident on route) and Jack requires medication twice a day but neither was a problem to Laurie who helped me clean Tink up on arrival and was more than happy to administer Jacks medication as needed. Bella was very nervous and stressed for the first day but Laurie soon had her coming out to say hello. We received an inital update and daily pictures, which was fantastic to see how well they were all settling in....some maybe enjoying the lovely cosy beds Laurie provides a little to much 😁. The cattery is kept impeccably clean. The facilities are new and warm with the cats getting out daily in a secure area for play time. We will most definitely call on Laurie at Maple House Cattery again and would without question recommended to anyone else looking for cat boarding facilities. We truly felt our cats were cared for and engaged with throughout their stay - this is not just your regular cat boarding facility! So thankful of your understanding through a difficult time for us and the time you have taken to look after our gang. Massive thank you to Laurie and all at Maple House Cattery 😻
Our boys had their first stay ever in a cattery. We are so glad that we chose Maple House. The boys settled in straight away and we were spoilt with photos & updates each day. Nothing was too much trouble for Laurie & we were very impressed with the cleanliness & warmth of the place. Can’t recommend them highly enough a safe & cosy home away from home.
We have used Maple House regularly since getting our (first) kitten and really feel like we have found the best we could have hoped for. Brilliant communication, always accommodating and plenty pictures and updates of play time. Can not recommend highly enough.
Had our cat Hamish stay here recently from Monday-Friday. Hamish was incredibly well looked after and Laurie kept us up to date regarding his eating etc. We also got plenty photos which was fab as we could see he was happy! Wouldn't hesitate to recommend. Very friendly service and nothing is too much hassle communication was great. The cattery itself is spotless and very well equipped and a fab size.
This was the first time I’ve ever put my fur babies into a cattery and I was slightly apprehensive 😕 But Maple house cattery didn’t disappoint and done a marvellous job caring and interacting with Grogu and Floki I highly recommend them and will certainly use them in the future 🥰 …

Our half Siamese cat who likes company and is very inquisitive was very happy at this fantastic Cattery. He received love and attention and was kept warm and snug in high quality modern cubicles. Angus was let out to play in two areas with cat tunnels and toys. The service and efficiency was excellent. We received WhatsApp posts with photos. There was even calm music in background ! I highly recommend Maple House and Angus will become a regular customer.
Maple House Cattery looked after our Zinc when we were away for a period of 3 weeks, from start to finish they were very informative, and kept us up to date mostly every day with pictures or information on how our cat was, which helped us both with being away for so long, we were so thankful. For future occasions we will most definetely be using their service and would recommend this 100% to anybody else thinking about it and willing to use this facility. No faults or complaints, we are both very appreciative of the time being taken to look after Zinc, A big thank you to Maple House Cattery.
