I had an excellent stay with Harry at Sandra and Kelly’s beautiful home. It was the first housesit that I have done through Trusted Housesitters and I couldn’t have asked for a better start. Harry is absolutely adorable - such a snuggle bunny and loves walking which is perfect for me. Sandra and Kelly are super easy to communicate with and had everything organized. Their house is absolutely beautiful and located in such a great area – close to shops and all major amenities. I certainly will miss having my morning coffee looking out at the ocean. I loved the infrared sauna which was amazing – like a spa getaway. I look forward to returning soon.
Aimee and I really enjoyed looking after Marley and exploring Portsmouth. Marley is a beautiful pup who loves to play and run around. He’s super friendly with other dogs and humans so it’s a pleasure to walk him especially as you’re never short for places to take him, so much greenery! The location is perfect, right on the sea front and about a 10 minute walk into town. Matt and Kelly were super responsive if we had any questions and really made us feel welcome.
Wayne and I can call ourselves very lucky that we got the chance to look after the cute little dachshund mix Tenley for Katie and Matt in Blackheath recently. Before I go into detail, I already want to say upfront: this was one of the best house sits we've ever had!! :) Let's start with Tenley: without second thought I can say that she's one of the loveliest and cutest doggies we've ever met. She warmed up to us quickly and we bonded super well with her over the course of the week. We spent most of the day at home with her and she quickly became our new little doggie bestie. :) She's a very friendly, happy and easy-going doggie and loves cuddle time on the sofa and in bed. She's well behaved and walks great on the leash, and she gets along well with other dogs. It was a pleasure spending time with her, and we already miss little Tenley deeply!! Besides Tenley being an awesome little companion, her owners Katie and Matt were just as much of a pleasure to meet and spend time with. They were amazing hosts, very warm and friendly people, great conversationalists, and super generous and helpful! They really went out of their way to help us and let us stay two extra nights after the house sit ended. They both are awesome people, and we're very grateful for this experience. (Thank you sooo much, you two!!!) Last but not least, Katie and Matt have a beautiful bright and spacious house in Blackheath right next to some extensive parks / green areas and close to the village centre at the same time. We loved staying at their cozy place which has all amenities you could ask for including reliable internet, a big & suuuuper comfy bed, a nicely equipped kitchen, cozy lounge/dining area to hang out, and a nice green community area surrounding the house. To sum that all up: if you get the chance to sit Tenley for Katie and Matt, don't think twice! :) We ourselves will always be happy to return and spend more time with this adorable dog should there be an opportunity!! :)
Our stay at Leo and Claire's house was amazing. They are a super friendly family and they made us feel at home. Benson was the most cute and friendly dog we ever seen. We will miss him and we would surely take care of him again.
Doc and Etta are wonderfully energetic, playful, and kind dogs. They play well with strangers and other dogs. Off-leash walks were easy with the dogs checking in frequently and the addition of radio collars provide an additional level of control should a deer or fox cross their path. On the other hand Doc wants whatever he doesn't have...a door opened, attention, or worse, whatever is on the counter. Baby gates prevent Doc from getting in the kitchen...you just have to remember to use them. Mary Pat and Lee were very welcoming and even provided a welcome package of coffee, wine, and more. We could use their garage and hot tub, as well as the yoga studio. And the views from the house are OUTSTANDING!
Razz is a sweet dog and and very loving. She loved to play, and is a great guard dog. Due to her being a rescue, she was at times overstimulated meeting new dogs. But I think over time she will move beyond this. She is very smart. She loved going to Piedmont Park and going on the trails. That park does not have dog drinking fountain, so in hot weather, best to bring a collapsible bowl and water for Razz. She also loved people and animal (squirrel and bird) watching. :)
