Jared and Jessica were incredible hosts. Their home is beautiful and in a perfect location. They left incredibly detailed notes, covering virtually every scenario possible, so I never had any questions on how to navigate their home or how to take care of their pets. If I did, they were also available by text throughout the duration of the sit. Samson was very friendly and I spent a lot of time with him on the couch. I did not see Temple much, but she was well-behaved. I highly recommend this house sit.
I had a great time sitting for Marias Dog and can warmly recommend it to everyone. Lobo is a very lovely and playful puppy. As the house is close to the sea, we went for walks along the seaside and played a lot in the meantime. The first day he was very excited getting to know someone new and it was beautiful to see how quick relationship between us developed. Also Maria was very nice and showed me around the apartment before they left. I felt very comfortable during my stay there.
I had to so this sit solo as my husband couldn’t join me. Stewart and Cathy are easy going nice people. They have a lovely and comfy home. The two dogs, Patches and Dotsie were so much fun to be with. They are lovely little dogs. Very easy to take care of. Looking after the fishes were easy as well. Overall I enjoyed my time there.
Great sit: cute cat, top DC location, nice, neat and very clean apartment, and Tess was a pleasure to work with. Highly recommended.
Firstly, it was a privilege to have been entrusted with the care of Ryan & Paola’s beautiful home and fabulous dogs. Communication was excellent and extremely straightforward right from day one, and as we were relatively close by we arranged to go meet them both as it was their first time using THS and felt it would be better than a video call. Ryan and Paola are very welcoming and it was really lovely to meet Rita the Rotti and Sylvia the Staffy. Originally Sylvia was going to stay with a relative but we indicated that we’d love to look after her too, so we ended up with 2 for the price of 1!. After the sit was confirmed communication with Paola remained excellent and I popped back a few days before the start of the sit to have a house orientation and go over last minute details. Paola provided a comprehensive welcome guide as well as WhatsApp photo info as they had an early start. We had a warm welcome from the girls and they quickly settled and seemed at ease with us being in their home. Paola thoughtfully left me some peppermint tea I like and new dish cloths. The house is beautiful; warm, clean and very comfortable in a super local with great views of Wentwood forest. The girls are fabulous; very affectionate and well behaved. Mornings consisted of a mass pile-on on the kitchen sofa for cuddles before the daily walk around private woodland with a large pond. Rita is restricted to short walks due to her age but when weather permitted we went in the car to Wentwood with Sylvia. She’s excellent travelling and very good on/off lead with good recall (we nicknamed her snuffle hound as she likes to snuffle a lot). I did daily updates to Paola with photos and videos on the girl’s adventures and she was always prompt at replying to any queries. I’m summary; wonderful sit, super dogs, great location, lovely hosts. Would definitely return for some more sofa snuggles with Rita and Sylvia ❤️ Thank you Paola and Ryan. Hope to see you both again soon
Kalu is the most beautiful, sweetest boy you will ever meet! He will steal your heart!! He is very playful, loved running up and down the stairs (so watch your step), playing with his toys, and napping in his fruit bowl! Gina and Victor were amazing hosts. Picked me up at train station and shared a beautiful lunch spread (which I continued to eat for days). The house is beautiful and clean and very comfortable. A book with clear instructions and notes and constant communication with Gina were much appreciated. Location is short walk from bus stop then quick ride to city center. I came from the US and greatly enjoyed the city and all if offered….The Old Horse pub is two bus stops or a short walk, with great food and cheap prices and lovely staff. They have several offerings you can get to go for later meals at home. The Richard III visitor center is just amazing and a 45 min train ride to Stamford will enable you to spend the day at Burghley House and gardens which is magnificent. Kalu is now my favorite little charge and I hope to visit him and his family and lovely home again! Don’t miss the chance to spend time with this little sweetheart!
