I loved my sit with Phoebe and Sidney. Phoebe left very detailed instructions for caring for Sidney and her beautiful garden. Her beautiful home is immaculate inside and out and located in a wonderful quiet area with amazing views. Sidney was very shy and cautious and later came around. She is so sweet and very well-behaved. If our paths cross again, I would love to sit for Phoebe in the future.
I had such a wonderful time with Callum and Wullie, they are indeed a special pair and such charming company. It was an absolute pleasure to look after this wonderful house, even with unexpected showers! Chris is wonderfully welcoming, generous and hospitable and a fantastic TH host.
We enjoyed Chris beautiful and well appointed home, quiet location 10 minutes from shopping and groceries. She left clear instructions and all the necessary information we would need for the weekend. The dogs meals were already proportioned and the medication was easy to administer. Rocky and Wrangler are full of energy, very talkative and always want to play. Rocky has a big personality and Wrangler, more laid back, is a funny little fellow. When watching TV at night, Kahler was looking for a lap to hop on. He's probably the most affectionate and lovely cat we've ever met.
Met up with Karen the evening before their holiday , she gave us good instructions as Betty was a nervous rescue dog. She settled with us after a couple of days and relaxed, Benni is much more relaxed , both loved their cuddles. Karen's home is an easy walk to the beach with the dogs and close to walks in the beautiful New Forest. We would be happy to return in the future.
Darren and Jenna were very welcoming on my arrival the evening before their departure for their holiday. They are a 40 minute car ride from the airport which cost me $85 by taxi. Because I arrived early evening I decided not to use the buses which would have cost only $10 and take 1 hr 40 mins. They kindly included me in their evening meal and we spent time talking about Lottie’s routine and requirements. As she was only a year old we agreed it was better for her not to walk more than an hour or so. We enjoyed local urban walks in the mornings before it got too hot. She was always on leash during the walks and was very well behaved and keen to make friends with any passers by; both human and dogs. She was very easy all round, wanting to cuddle up on the sofa when at home or play and sunbathe on the lovely outside back deck. She had a daily groom and a bath once during my 9 day stay. She was well behaved and accepting during these times. The house is closely surrounded by neighbouring houses. There is a nice local vibe with the high street of Howick about 10 mins walk away with several cafes and restaurants. I took the local buses into the city a couple of times. It took and hour and 30 min each way. I often walked through the suburbs to one of the three beaches 2-3kms from the house. There is a nice cinema 10 mins walk from the house. Thank you for choosing me for your sit Darren. I am missing Lottie !
Ellen is a great pet owner to work with. She made me feel welcome and comfortable at her nice home right away. I really appreciated the clear communication throughout tbe sit, and with any updates when needed. The chickens are a real hoot to care for. I would gladly house/pet sit here again and I encourage others to do so as well. Thanks for the opportunity!
