I had a wonderful stay at Lynda and Roy’s home, looking after their dog, Scrappy and two cats, Boo Boo and Picasso! Scrappy follows you around and craves all the attention so you won’t get lonely here! The cats both like to keep to themselves but love attention a few times throughout the day, if they can get some pets before Scrappy comes back and steals the attention ☺️ The garden is a lovely little escape to nature with rabbits and foxes - I often found myself torn between the tv screen and the patio doors, trying to catch a glimpse of the local wildlife. It was really nice to wake up and take a barefoot stroll around the garden with Scrappy in the mornings or evenings before watering the plants. It’s easy to take the bus into Lincoln to visit the cathedral and castle but there is a Spar in the village and a cute little cafe to sit by the beck and relax to the sound of flowing water (all within a 15 min walk from the house). There’s a few of these little trails along the beck to walk with Scrappy as well as a nice quiet lane, with various farm animals in the surrounding fields. It’s also a nice little route to take out the bicycle and enjoy slow country life 😌 Lynda is an artist and the house is filled with vibrant colours and her personal artwork to uplift your mood! Many of my clients commented on the beautiful artwork in the background of video calls! If you fancy yourself as an artist, Lynda has a beautiful studio to escape to in the garden where you can paint to the sound of birds. Scrappy loves to supervise/nap while you paint! The buses run fairly frequently and it’s a short 15 minute journey to Lincoln station. Lynda kindly picked me up from the station, guided me through everything I’d need to know before they set off and we stayed in contact throughout the week. Thank you for a lovely stay in Lincoln - a great experience for my first sit!
The perfect pets and place to unwind. Ladies, you have a wonderful home. So organized and easy to find things. Sophie and Harry are just amazing. I will truly miss them. Such great personalities. Enjoyed walks to the beach, into town for a bite, shop and feed the ducks. Sophie is the best leash walker. Harry is a sketch. Enjoyed collecting fresh eggs for breakfast too. Would love to return any time.
We had a great stay at Amy’s. Gus was an absolute delight and we loved his playful character. The flat itself is really lovely and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. It’s also in a great location with quick access to the city centre. Amy is lovely and made sure we had everything we needed. Thank you so much for a great stay!
It was such a lovely house-sit, Billy was a pleasure to look after and a very loving cat. The house is beautiful and a lovely location and I had a lovely room to stay in with an en-suite bathroom.. I enjoyed the outside terrace and the sound of the stream running at the back. Denise was helpful and very friendly.
We can only hope to one day return to see Paddy boy again. He has to be one of the most well behaved loving dogs we have ever sat for, plus he’s a lot of FUN to be around! If you do not like snuggles and kisses than stay away, he is quite the lover boy. 🥰 Nicola was super accommodating and her home is modern and fab. Smack in the middle of Telford directly next to the massive Telford Center Mall and a short walk to the rail station, all very convenient for a comfortable stay.
