We cannot say more positive things about our stay with Minnie and the wonderful hospitality of Jaki and Tom! Not only did Jaki and Tom go above and beyond to make us feel comfortable during our stay with Minnie, but they also went even further to ensure that we had a wonderful welcome to Bristol (as we have just relocated here). They introduced us to friends the night before they left so that we had helpers during our stay, left us beers in the fridge from the local breweries to try, organised for Minnie to stay with a friend one night during the stay so that we could attend the local St Pauls Festival and were generally just so helpful with all their information on Bristol (they even reached our to previous landlords to help us find a rental property for after the stay). Jaki and Tom's place is also incredibly central (only a short walk into town), very comfortable and and was setup beautifully for us. Minnie was the most wonderful dog ever to look after! She is friendly, cuddly, always happy and so well behaved. We had so much fun with her at the park and she adores playing with her friends. When she gets home, she loves nothing more than cuddling on the couch and falling asleep. We would come back and look after her again anytime (and are currently missing her very much)! It was lovely to housesit and care for Mulan, Satchmo and Percy. All 3 animals were very laid back and easy to care for and loved lounging around. Special shoutout to Satchmo for being the most photogenic and adorable cat we ever had the privilege of pet sitting. Their parents Dipen and Pepper were super accommodating and invited us to stay before the housesit officially began, which was very kind. Manchester was only one stop away on the train. Thanks for the opportunity to housesit for you.
Victoria and Nick are a lovely couple and made us feel very welcome, we arrived the day before the sit started and were treated to a lovely dinner cooked by Victoria. The home is beautiful, very comfortable and well equipped with all that we needed for a relaxed happy stay. Victoria very kindly offered us the use of her car while we were there , this enabled us to tour the island easily and comfortably. We instantly fell in love with Cilla, I’m sure everyone does , she is playful , loveable, and a very well behaved girl. We took her everywhere with us. She travels perfectly in the car , loves being off lead and will always come back to a call of her name or a blow of the whistle. We will miss our lovely girl . This was a really lovely sit and we highly recommend It. We had a fantastic experience housesitting for Jim and Sharon in Tuscon, Arizona. We arrived the night before our sit and were welcomed into their home with a delicious homemade dinner. This gave us a great opportunity to sit down and to get to know each other as friends and learn more details about the dog’s care and personalities. They gave us a very thorough tour of their fantastic home so we felt comfortable knowing how everything functioned and also learned about the doggie’s routines and needs. Jim and Sharon’s home and backyard is absolutely spectacular. They have done an impressive job on renovating their already beautiful home. The chef kitchen and outdoor kitchen has everything needed to cook gourmet meals. They have a completely fenced huge yard and a doggy door which gives the dogs the freedom to go out whenever they want. Their home and backyard is on a hill that overlooks the city of Tuscon and has views of the mountains and spectacular sunsets every night. We spent most of our time outside in the yard with the dogs hanging around their pool, hot tub , pickleball court and covered back porch. Felt like we were at a resort with our doggy friends rather than someone’s home. They have made it that comfortable. There are many interesting places to walk the dogs all around their home. Every day we explored a new area with the dogs(neighbourhoods, dry river beds , parks etc). Daily communication ( what’s app) was easy and Sharon was very responsive to any questions. Alpha , Charlie and Cheyanne are so fun to photograph so we enjoyed sharing all of our daily adventures with Sharon and Jim. The doggies: Alpha belongs to their son (who is on deployment with the military ) and has only been with them for four months but it feels like he’s lived there his whole life. He is sweet, friendly and loves to play with his ball. He is an excellent walker on a leash and a great car dog. He’s able to walk further than Charlie and Cheyanne so we took him hiking in the mountains with Kodi Bear twice and he loved it! Charlie the golden retriever has a very similar personality to Alpha and is a complete snuggle bug on the sofa. He is an absolutely joy to spend the days with. He Is full of personality and love and also a great walker on a leash. Cheyanne, at almost 17 years of age is doing amazing. Definitely needs some extra TLC but is super sweet and loves to spend her time outside in the backyard exploring. She is also great on a leash and enjoyed short walks with her brothers. Kodi bear (our toy poodle who joined us on this housesit) became good friends very quickly with all the dogs. Alpha and Charlie thought she was great fun to play with the backyard and to have join on walks or hiking adventures. Overall an excellent house/ pet sit and highly recommended. Thank you again, Jim, Sharon, Alpha, Charlie, and Cheyanne for welcoming us into your home! We would be happy to sit for you again if we are travelling to Tuscon.
Elizabeth and Jon were wonderful hosts. Their home is beautiful and it was a delight to stay and look after their very friendly 3 pups. It's worth saying, for anybody thinking 3 dogs might be too much, that Jon & Elizabeth's place has plenty of land with paddocks, which means you don't need to walk 3 dogs on leads on roads, so they're very easy to care for. The village of Uley is beautiful and the surrounding contryside has many places to visit within a short drive. I really enjoyed my stay and I'm sure you would too. I highly recommend this sit.
House was truly perfect and the cats even better. Smokey is playful and mischievous and I love it. Ice cube and finnegan are chill and so sweet. Dragon is just so cuddly and likes to curl up with you. Katie did a great job with instructions and everything we needed for a great stay.

I LOVE taking my dog here for daycare. I am happy knowing that while I am at work, my dog (Dakota) has ample time outside to sniff and play with his friends, along with a comfy rest indoors on couches and soft beds. I think this type of daycare is superior to a standard large business/vet clinic/boarding facility because my dog is not kept in a loud kennel on a concrete floor with constant loud barking from other dogs- here he has a backyard to sniff with LOTS of outdoor play as opposed to boring astroturf with no trees. There is a perfect amount of other dogs for him to socialize with each time (7-10); not too many, but just enough. It's not overwhelming for him and he is always entertained. Caroline does a great job at sending me pictures of Dakota throughout the day and on rainy days she provides enrichment activities- this is something I really appreciate, as I do the same thing when I am home with him. I have referred several people to this Daycare and I will continue to do so! Thank you Caroline and Eric!
The photo says it all! Both times we’ve left our dog with Caroline and Eric for boarding we’ve had a great experience! They send pictures often and provide updates, and our boy always seems happy but exhausted after. Would recommend!

Petcare by Caroline is great! I moved from IL where my dog had only ever been boarded at a similar business - in the homeowners home, when you know the homeowner is there through the night. We meet before my dog’s boarding appointment for a meet-and-greet where we talked about my dog and his behavior and I got to see where he would be playing with his new doggo friends! The folks at Petcare by Caroline really know what they are doing and I feel such peace of mind leaving my rescue dog with them while I’m out of town. My dog Hallie used to get overwhelmed at a traditional boarding facility, but their home environment, individualized attention, and slow introductions to the other dogs helped her to thrive here. She is pooped from all the playing but excited to go back soon!
Our 6 month old puppy Franklin absolutely loves going to daycare! Caroline creates a very home like environment for our baby. So many toys, a huge backyard to explore and lots of other dogs in his age range to play with. We know he is in good care every time we drop him off. When we pick him up, he is happy and exhausted and a dream to train because he has more manners at home. We even get updates on Instagram & text on how he is doing. We will be using pet care by Caroline as long as we live in Raleigh! She is an amazing communicator and she has a love for dogs that shows.

Caroline and her team took exceptional care of our pets while my husband and I were away for a whopping four weeks. They sent us consistent updates, even while we were out of the country. From the photos and videos they shared, and the general demeanors of our dog and two cats upon our return, it is clear they cared for the trio as if they were their own pets. Very reasonable prices and big fenced in backyard with lots of natural shade. Raleigh loves going and getting all her energy out! And I love that she will post and send you picture of your dog !!
After years of friends and family pet sitting for us, finding a similar experience with a pro service seemed unlikely. But North Raleigh Pet Nanny delivers. We don't hesitate to travel anywhere because we know our fur babies will be well cared for. I find them to be responsive, helpful, and dedicated. If an issue comes up, it's handled. Our "kids " are happy and safe at home, our house is in good hands, and we are able to relax.
We have Pet Nanny care for the pets of our aging parent. The staff are kind and considerate and go out of their way to assist her with tasks beyond the contracted dog walking and dog care. The dogs love the staff and always have a great time. This organization is run in a very professional manner with great portal tools etc so you always know what’s going on. We would recommend this company to anyone needing to care for their pets.
I regret to say that my experience with North Raleigh Pet Nanny has been disappointing. While things started off positively when I first began using their services, the professionalism and quality have significantly declined over time. During a recent trip, I encountered unexpected extreme weather that prevented me from returning home to care for my pets. Unfortunately, there was no concern for their welfare from the service, and I found them to be rigid and inflexible in this situation. This lack of understanding and support was disheartening. This wasn't an isolated incident. On a separate occasion, after booking their services well in advance, they canceled without warning, leaving my family scrambling for alternatives. Such last-minute cancellations are unprofessional and create unnecessary stress for clients who rely on them. It's disheartening to share this, especially since I was initially pleased with their service. However, these repeated issues reflect a broader pattern of declining standards and difficult interactions with the ownership. I hope they can address these concerns to better serve future clients, but I, unfortunately, can no longer recommend their services.
I can't say enough wonderful things about Kat and North Raleigh Pet Nanny. They take such good care of our cats when we travel, and send me photos and updates with every visit. I literally couldn't travel without them - they are fantastic!

Kat and her team are AMAZING and one of the best decisions I ever made was to sign up with North Raleigh Pet Nanny. Kat has a thorough process of getting to know your home and pet(s) prior to actual visits. They are dependable with excellent daily communication (including pictures). I LOVE the app they use - it's super easy and doesn't take up much space on your phone. You can schedule new visits right on the app in less than a minute. My cat was noticeably less anxious and clingy when I returned home from a 5-day trip. I am using them again in the near future, and I would highly recommend them.
Kat and her team are the best pet sitting team in Raleigh. We have two pups that are nervous around new people and I never worry about them when NRPN is in charge. We've used them for quick drop-ins during the day and week-long vacations, and we always come home to happy and tired girls! If I could put 6 out of 5 stars I would. This team is so caring with my kids (two cats). I get pictures every time they visiting, a detailed explanation of their visit and what they did, as well as peace of mind that my kids are being well cared for. They will even curb your trash for pickup and collect mail for you while away. They play with my cats while away and the pictures indicate my cats are perfectly happy. Litter box cleanings every single day! North Raleigh Pet Nanny is more than a nanny The whole group is trustworthy, reliable, and always excited to see my kids. If I ever have questions, I post them in the app and receive a response via the app or a phone call within minutes. Kat Penny is one of the owners and she is top notch. Scheduling is easy and I know my kitties are in more than capable hands. Thank you all for such wonderful care of my feline children!
Kat Penney (North Raleigh Pet Nanny) has been taking care of my pups for several years. She is the best of the best—dependable , knowledgeable, pleasant and easy to work with. She and her husband have stayed at my home for several weeks at a time when I’ve been out of town and she has helped with daily walks when I’m in town. My dog came back with diarrhea and was throwing up all over the house and they refused to tell me what they fed her and stated that she was only given the food provided but in the same sentence said she barely ate any of her food . And she also came back with a tick or her neck will not be returning
This was our first time boarding our puppy (anywhere!), and I was very anxious about leaving him for the first time. But PetsHotel took good care of him and gave us a full report on his stay, including his playtimes, how much he ate, and even how often he used the bathroom! Our puppy was (obviously) happy to see us and ready to go home when we picked him up, but we could tell he'd been well cared for and had enjoyed his stay because the employees knew him by name, and he made sure to say a quick "goodbye" to the people who had taken care of him - That really put my mind at ease! Would highly recommend this PetsHotel and would definitely let our pup stay with them again!
I DEFINITELY WILL NOT be returning. My dog left there traumatized. Someone at this Millbrook location mistreated my dog, he didn't get the best treatment. He wasn't let out for bathroom breaks, because he urinated on his bed. He's trained to use the restroom outside. Two of the women there have very nasty attitudes, especially the little short white woman. ALL AROUND TRAINING is needed at this location.
I cannot say enough nice things about the staff at the Pets Hotel. I toured multiple dog daycare/boarding facilities and I felt so comfortable after visiting the Pets Hotel. I have an extremely shy dog who has not had a lot of exposure to other dogs and the Pets Hotel staff has been absolutely amazing working with her and getting to play with the other dogs at day camp. I drop Willow off in the mornings and she is very excited to see the staff which let's me know how well they treat her. We had a terrible experience at another facility, but I can tell by the way Willow greets the staff each morning (and the way that they greet her) that she is in good hands, it's so nice being able to go to work and not have to worry about the level of care my dog is receiving.
I boarded my cat here once and won't be returning. The cat pens have a large window facing the front desk that seems to be always uncovered, so I don't see how they can get much relaxation during store hours. When I picked her up, the employee who carried her out was lugging around the carrier very roughly as if there wasn't an animal in there, which was pretty much a nail in the coffin for me. It seems others have had better experiences, but as I said, I won't be a return customer.
They take great care of my girls! My girls love them and I feel very comfortable leaving them here because the staff is very kind and caring. I bring them here even when it is out of my way to my destination because comfort with the people makes all of the difference in the world.

To say the people who work here are awesome is an understatement! We lost our dog Friday morning and he ended up on the property. Alyssa had seen my post, messaged me. She, Ashley and Justin helped me for over an hour and a half, walked with Boo, walked into wooded areas. They went above and beyond and didn't even know us! This just speaks to the caliber of people they are. We will be taking any future animals there. I highly recommend them based on their kindness and compassion they show for all animals and people in need!!!❤️
Employees greet customers with a smile. They treat my dog well while she is at daycare or boarding. I like that the dogs have one open room to play with each other. The only downside is the cost, but it is a competitive rate and worth having good care for my dog.
This was my first time and the staff was really nice! Even when I called over the phone to inquire for my puppy, Tori was very pleasant to speak with and didn’t act like I was bothering her. At the desk, Elle was very nice and so was the young lady who was there Sunday morning. I feel so bad I forget her name. Also the young man who was there Sunday morning and Monday evening- he’s very nice! I’m not sure how I feel about a certain employee who was there Sunday and Monday… this person doesn’t seem too interested in their job, I’m very observant. I want to know that my pup is going to be loved and cared on. I was also expecting a lot more interaction with the dogs than what I saw on camera. No one made my puppy feel comfortable… My other complaint would be the price though. I feel like other people I know get more bang for their buck. I’m paying more than they are but unfortunately this place is the most convenient for me. Why don’t we get daily reports of our dogs day?? That is such a nice little touch to have. Also, the way my puppy came back home to me was absolutely unacceptable. Again, I don’t feel like a certain employee is very dedicated to their job… my pup should not have been sent home to me in the condition that he was. He’s 4 months old and I was alarmed at how filthy my baby was!! He reeked of urine and his long coat was all scraggly and gross. I’m not expecting you guys to give him a full bath but would you send a child home like that from daycare?? How hard would it have been to wipe him down so he’s not walking around in his own urine and I have to bring him in my car like that?!? I was HIGHLY disappointed by that. He’s only 6lbs. Hopefully someone will understand where I’m coming from. We will be back but only because as I mentioned, it’s most convenient option right now. I think it’s absurd that the price of grooming service is $75 for a SIX POUND dog….
I brought my pitbull about three months ago to see about doggy daycare so he could make some friends. His brother at home is about 12 years old and does not have much energy and he is five and has a ton of energy. As I watched on the camera while they did a test to see how he would react with other dogs, there was one big big dog who went to nip at his ear. My dog turned around, but didn’t react. They then told me that my dog was very aggressive And they could not take him at this time. They called me today to ask me if I wanted to try again and I said I do not want to and I will never have my dog at their facility My dog was also the only pitbull there. Definitely convinced they have an issue with pitbull’s. My sweet boy didn’t get to make friends that day and it honestly hurt my heart. I 10 out of 10 do not Recommend this place.
We weren't sure how well our dog would react to other dogs because she came with BIG feelings of anxiety when she was adopted. Dogtopia introduced her to other dogs slowly. By the end of the day she was running around with a bunch of dogs and had made a friend.

From the moment we came in from the meet and greet, the staff have been super nice and informative. My puppy loves it there and he gets a lot of socialization. I like that they have daily activities or treats to offer the dogs. I enjoy watching the Webcam of what my puppy is doing as well.
Love the fact that I can bring my pup here where everybody is a dog person and they genuinely care about your dog! They offer grooming, spas, boarding, daycare, training and all types of fun festivities to keep dogs active and stimulated so they crash when they get home 🧡 …
Our dog Blue loves going here! It really helps to socialize her and get all of her energy out! The staff there is very attentive and you can even watch your dog on a WebCam.
Janet and the team at Dogtopia are warm, positive, and friendly. They are always happy to see my very active puppy, Luke. And I am always happy to know that he is in kind and capable hands. Of the three places I tried in Raleigh, Dogtopia our favorite and our go-to place.
I cant say enough great things about Dog Gone Happy! The staff to start with is exceptional! Savanna, Michelle, Kendall, Jordan to name a few are all so welcoming and they truly love your pet as it is their own! My dog Adeya has her friends now that she cant wait to see and what could typically be stressful for our pooches is something she leaps out of the car with joy for! Dog Gone Happy cares about keeping their facility clean, keeping your pet cared for, healthy and safe! They take their time to assess your dogs needs and if there are any behaviors that need tending to. They are on your side ready and willing to make your experience BEST IN CLASS! This is the second time they commit a “human error” for scheduling and even had the audacity to still want to charge me for THEIR error both times! I scheduled my dog for grooming 4 days prior to her scheduled day. They weren’t able to pull up my account profile but that employee stated that they remembered who my dog was and they claimed they would ensure my dog was in the books for grooming. When I arrive for drop off, I spoke with an associate named Ashley and specified that I am here to drop off my dog for GROOMING. She said “ok, we will be right out.” There wasn’t any communication on their part that my dog was in the system as daycare. So to my surprise when I go pick her up and call the curbside number they tell me “will will just be charging you for a half day.” And I’m confused at that point, knowing that I specifically said grooming services both when I called to make the appointment AND at drop off. A manager—the owners daughter, then comes out and seems apologetic about the situation but still wanted to charge me for the service my dog received. She goes back and forth about the charges and I state, “how does this fall on me when you claim it’s a mistake on y’all’s system? That doesn’t make any sense and I shouldn’t be charged for a service I didn’t consent to.” She then stated that she never said it fell on me but still implied that I would be charged for the service. I stood my ground and reiterated as the client that I shouldn’t be made responsible for THEIR error. The manager, stated “I won’t charge you this time but if this happens again I will have to charge you. We have a lot of new people who aren’t the best communicators. I’m sorry but this is a human error. I’m sorry if you’re upset but I will make it right for you this time.” That whole interaction felt borderline apologetic and hostile. Will not be taking my dog back here for any further services. I really liked this place for my pet but the last few interactions have not been focused on customer satisfaction— poor communication between staff/clients, poor conflict resolution with word choices (making customers feel like they should still pay for a service they didn’t agree to), etc. Serving customers is one of the most important aspects of running a business because customers help keep a business operating. A dedication to serving customers can help establish trust and loyalty, which may increase profitability and brand awareness.

I can’t say enough good things about Dog Gone Happy! The staff is amazing!! Every single person that works there is a phenomenal human being that truly loves the doggos in their care. Our German Shepherd, Levi, has been going to doggy daycare at DGH a few times a week for almost a year. He’s anxious and a bit reactive with other dogs so he doesn’t do group play but the staff does individual play with him. Levi gets so much attention and love from everyone there. Levi gets boarded at DGH too; he was just there for 9 days while we were out of town. I didn’t worry about him while we were gone because I knew he was well taken care of. We also utilize DGH’s spa services. It saves us so much time booking him for a bath and nail trim while he’s already there for daycare or boarding and their prices are competitive. We love getting the occasional photo of him; you can see how much he is enjoying himself.
This is the kindest and most wonderful place to bring your pup for unconditional love! Every team member is so knowledgeable, attentive, and treats my boy Hank with such care and affection. Hank would leap out of the car with his tail wagging as soon as I parked in their parking lot! They are experts in my dog's anxious temperament and give him individual attention since he was too nervous to play with other dogs. This type of dedicated care for nervous dogs is, understandably, pretty difficult to find. I've been a customer here for years but had to pause after being laid off from my job in Raleigh. The owners brought me to tears with their kindness and understanding, and I can't wait to bring him back. (Hank can't wait either!) Do yourself and your pups a favor and bring them to the most nurturing environment with the best staff you could ever ask for. We miss you, Dog Gone Happy Team, and we'll see you soon!
I absolutely love dog gone happy. My dog is a very anxious dog and sadly can’t be around other big puppies but he gets lots of love from everybody there. I found this place at the last minute when my old boarding place couldn’t take my Pluto boy in. Pluto is definitely my heart/soul dog I got him when I was 19 and they put up with me when I call to check up on him, I am definitely becoming a helicopter dog mom🤦♀️.
Best daycare ever!!! Kodi has been going here since he was 3 months old. He is the happiest dog when he knows he's going to "school". He knows exactly where he's going right when we get off the exit. The employees all love him like their own. He doesn't even want to leave when I get there to pick him up. The reviews (1 star) are all written on the same day and they try to say the facility is dirty and smells. Those reviews are all LIES. They clean non-stop. If it smells like anything, it smells like cleaner. The boarding suites are wonderful. If the pictures below don't show how much my boy loves this place I don't know what will convince you. He is 2 and 1/2 years old and he cannot imagine not going to see all his dog friends every week (at least 2 times a week). Thank you for always taking such great care of my Bear!
10 STARS!!! Incredible staff always go above and beyond for your furry friend. My dog absolutely loves it and can’t get enough- starts barking when I pull into the parking lot! We’ve used DGH for both doggie daycare and boarding and I can promise you that you can leave your doggos in the care of these wonderful people and not have to worry about a thing.
Best dog daycare and boarding available in Raleigh!! Staff is wonderful!!! They are friendly, patient and knowledgeable. I love getting updates while I am away! LuLu is loved and well taken care of without a worry at all. The staff spend time with LuLu and love her very much. They are extremely kind and always have amazing customer service. I recommended them and will continue to do so! Thank you so much to the staff for loving our LuLu! Just a wonderful place to board your loved furry babies!
