Kris and Em communicated extremely well both prior and during the sit. They left clear instructions on the care for Pickle, Woody, Scooter, Belle, Ernie and Oreo. This collection of animals was a delight to look after. The house is located in a wonderful location, with a good variety of shops and restaurants close by. We loved opening the door each morning and picking a different direction to walk and enjoy the plush green pathways and common. We hope to return for another sit in the future, or a visit, at our new friends lovely abode.
We had an amazing 9 day stay at Jenny's menagerie, there is so much to explore in the area and local people are so friendly and chatty. The location of the house is very remote and tranquil and the views are breathtaking (every single day). Jenny's dogs are true angels and so are the cats. They all love people. We would definitely love to come back one day. Thank you so much Jen and hopefully see you again!!
Moira was kind and welcoming from start to finish, she was so easy to communicate with and incredibly generous, going out of her way to make us feel at home and welcome. Her place is lovely, located in a wonderful part of Footscray! Grover and Azumi are gorgeous, crazy and so much fun to be with. They love to be with you and appreciate some serious cuddles and affection. We did some great walks with them as they are happy to go where you lead (or sometimes where they lead). Moira’s home is comfortable with everything you will need. We miss it and the puppies already and can’t wait to see them again. Thank you Moira for giving us the chance to stay in your lovely home with your fabulous fur babies.
Susan and Lars are a warm and welcoming couple. They invited us to arrive the evening before their departure so we could share dinner and get to know one another. Both are retired teachers and have done quite a bit of traveling so had lots of entertaining stories to share with us. Lars made us laugh out loud several times. Their patio is a small Oasis with many many flowering plants . Most are on a drip irrigation system . Only a few needed daily watering in the heat . Their Kitty, Minou, is the quietest, most gentle cat I have ever known. She only meowed at supper time and even then it was a gentle pleasing sound. She's not really a lap cat but as each day progressed she welcomed more and more pets and chin scratches from us. A very lovely sit. If you are lucky enough to be invited I recommend you accept.
Cam and his partner were perfect with communications even though cam was out of service area. The house is very nice and confortable, the desk setup excellent and the whole house was very well lit, with lots of natural light and sky lights. The area is very vibrant and I got to explore a lot on my time off. The cats are perfect with a very yin and yang dynamic. Super affectionate and funny in their own way. I enjoyed myself, relaxed and got a good deal of work done. I'd do it again: recommended.
Fonzie, the sprocker spaniel, is a real sweetie and so easy to take care of and loves a cuddle. Off leash, in the fields, he runs and runs while keeping an eye on us, for orderly return to the streets. A super dog. Diane is also wonderful. She gave us clear instructions and lots of sightseeing material. The house is cozy with lovely sunroom. Thank you Diane for a grand housesit.
