Laura was a kind and conscientious care-giver for Maceo and caretaker for our home during her stay in Seattle. She was also a great communicator before and during her stay. We recommend her without hesitation to other pet- and home-owners!
Absolutely amazing hosts & wonderful pup. Baci is so kind and well-trained. I was graciously left with an assortment of food & a lovely dinner with great conversation was had the night before. I highly recommend sitting for them to anyone that gets the chance to and 100% would do so myself in the future if I have the chance. Top notch people and quite literally the fluffiest most best behaved goodest boy I've sat for.
Amy is a wonderful hostess and ensured that I was comfortable in her home. Her home is a beautiful historic home with spectacular architecture and carpentry. I loved spending quality time with Clementine and Red. There was always a kitty on my lap! Miss Mopsey is shy and the outside kitties get comfortable with you. The town and surrounding area has a lot of interesting history. Thank you for everything!
This sit is what THS is all about. Staying in a place that you probably never would have thought to stay and finding it to be a hidden gem. While caring for and growing to love, some sweet pets. West Pawlet is a LOVELY area that we will be back to visit, again and again. So many farms and farm markets and quaint towns nearby that are well worth a visit. A bike trail right nearby. Peace and quiet and trees as far as you can see. Did I mention peace and quiet? In the evenings, you hardly even hear a car go by. Just quiet nature. Candy(llama) and the "boys"(sheep) were are sweet, gentle and sometimes, entertaining. I mentioned to my husband that we barely watched TV as we spent most of our time sitting on the porch, overlooking the pasture and just watching the them graze. They really aren't much work. Just feed and water and make sure they are are safe. The sheep enjoy a good scratching under the neck and they will follow you around and greet you when you visit them. Candy is a little more standoffish but she is gentle and quite does a fine job of guarding the sheep. We grew to love all of them. The home is warm and comfortable. The kitchen is great and the appliances are very new. It is a very open and beautiful house with lots of wood beams and flooring. Marcus was welcoming and gave good instructions and was always very quick to respond when I had a question. My husband and I both give this sit a 10/10 and hope to be back someday.
After her initial nervousness Zoey was amazing , she just takes a few hours to accept you, then she is such a wonderful dog. The walks around Goudse Hout park and garden, are just fantastic. We were there in the park every day with Zoey which was a joy and a privilege She also slept in the bed with us, cuddles on the sofa and lots of tail wagging and smiles. We honestly miss her being around us now. Remi the cat is a true independent cat, loving her blanket and watching the world go by. The local Coop down the road was good for groceries, so we didn’t have to go anywhere in the car. Gouda is about a 20 minute walk away.
We loved our stay. Juliet's house is delightfully peaceful on a private road, a beautifully decorated cottage in the countryside. We received a warm welcome and a lick from Pippin and Willow as Juliet and family got a early start for their summer holiday. We previously been in touch and got a good detailed welcome pack about the house and the dogs. Pippin and Willow are each one of a kind. Friendly, loving and loyal. Both have different characters and we thoroughly enjoyed getting to know them both. They love your company and will be your best friends for your stay. I would highly recommend Juliet for any future potential sitters. These are such well loved dogs that radiate loving warmth to you. We would definitely sit again and I think we will miss you Pippin and Willow.
My stay in Kingwood was awesome. Monica was nice enough to take me out to dinner upon arrival so it was fun to get to know her and her travel stories. The pups and kitty were a blast to spend the week with, constant comedy the 4 of them. They don't like to be left, this wouldn't be the housesit to explore downtown Houston, but as long as you're a pet lover they're great. Jolie, the jack russell-chihuahua mix, has amazing energy and will put a smile on your face everyday. Nice house in a nice neighborhood in the suburbs of Houston, good bike trails nearby, felt safe the whole time. Hot tub out back was a nice touch in the winter. Good times!
