Pennee and Bill were perfect house/cat sitters during our trip to visit family over the holidays. Our senior kitties were very well-cared for and loved, and our indoor plants were in better shape than when I tend them myself! They are experienced homeowners, and we felt very much at ease knowing that they could handle just about anything that could arise. Our home was in great shape when we returned, too, with litter box and linens cleaned. Pennee and Bill are delightful, and we would be happy to welcome them back for future sits, should our schedules coincide!
This was one of my favorite sits with one of the most adorable & easy going dogs I’ve come across. Jersey was so very cute & loving, but also understood when I needed my own space, laying patiently a few feet away while I was eating, exercising, or waiting quietly on the other side of the door for a video call. She is in her elder years so needs just a brief morning & evening walk, but boy does she love them. Watching her excitedly getting into her harness was a highlight of my day. Having a dog door, she was able to stay on her own just fine up to 6-7 hrs some days. She was also a very quiet sleeper, sleeping on the floor next to me every night. Rachel & Jared are very “mi casa es su casa” — absolutely gracious, going above & beyond to make sure my stay was not only comfortable, but enjoyable. Aside from some initial delays in communication, they were incredibly helpful & responsive to ensure that I had everything I needed. Examples include making sure all my transportation needs were taken care of, inviting me to stay a night early in their guestroom, and offering to procure a yoga mat when I asked after they'd left if they might have one in the house that I could borrow! The house itself is really cute and stylishly decorated, with plenty of bright light, TVs everywhere — including on the patio outside, and nestled in the greenest neighborhood in SD! Beautiful winding & wooded paths leading to the community pool, jacuzzi and tennis courts. I also appreciated being right next door to get an early hike on in the vast Mission Trails Park AND next to the absolute best Asian food in the city (Kearney Mesa neighborhood). The breadth, quality & authenticity of the Asian cuisines on Convoy St. is extraordinary! Highly recommend this sit, and miss Jersey already. Thank you so much for everything, Rachel & Jared!
Julia, Christian and their two boys are a lovely family, and Lili is a delightful little dog. She is well behaved and was easy to care for. We very much enjoyed staying with her in their large, bright apartment in the old part of Salzburg. It was within walking distance of everything and Lili loved to come along with us almost everywhere we went. We would highly recommend this house sit!
Doc is very easy to watch! As mentioned by Daphne, he takes a little time to warm up but then gets attached and affectionate easily :) I gave him about a day to let him engage me first and then he started asking for belly rubs as he fully opened up. :) What a cutie. He has excellent morning moods 😅 I found him very easy to watch and well behaved. I have watched 70 pets these past years and he stood out as an especially good boy on those two perspectives. House, neighborhood and of course Daphne very pleasant! Doc would follow me to whatever room I was in, so I folder my yoga mat close to me and he sat there napping much of the time. I already told Daphne I would watch Doc anytime again. I hope he remembers me.
I totally fell in love with Eddie!! He is such a good boy and is very well behaved. He is still in good health and can walk fair distances despite his age. I took him with me to everywhere. He also loves to be with you and will snuggle in his blankets or in your hand to get a pat. Dorinne is very lovely and easy to communicate with. She is also very accomodating which is very appreciable. I totally recommend to sit for Dorinne and would definitely do it again. Thanks for having me.
We were welcomed into Jack and Karen's home by themselves and the 2 dogs Charlie and Steve. We arrived at tea time as Jack and Karen were going away early the next day to catch their flight. After a chat to learn about the dogs and a wander around the block with the dogs, Charlie... my partner... not the dog!.... and I went off into town to have a meal. Karen and Jack suggested where to go. Ulverston is a busy town with plenty of pubs, restaurants, coffee shops etc. The town centre is literally a couple of minutes walk away, however the road where the house is, is very quiet. Now to the dogs. They are wonderful and well-behaved indoors. They settle well at night and not in a hurry to get up. However, they are still in training when out for a walk. They are reactive to other dogs and humans. You definitely need two people of our age to take them out or better still one at a time. Younger folk like their owners are probably fit enough to cope with both dogs. They walk on leads, and both are strong dogs. They are two lively cocker/ collie crosses, so they have plenty of energy. Having said all this, the dogs are loving and gentle indoors. They are very settled. They are very undemanding indoors apart from asking for belly rubs! So if you're strong, younger than us, don't let my review put you off from looking after 2 content dogs in a comfortable home in a lovely town with plenty going on. Thank you Jack and Karen for having us look after your babies....
I immediately felt like I was home! Kim's place is comfortable and artistic and everything I needed was exactly where I would expect to find it. My communication with Kim was easy and friendly. Pudding is just about the sweetest pup I have ever had the pleasure of being around. He is really easy going and well behaved and has a truly funny personality. I was able to take in a "Theatre in the Park" event and there's a Sprouts within walking distance as well. The bed is comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked and I had everything I needed to get some work done as well. I truly enjoyed my stay and would highly recommend it to anyone considering it!
