We absolutely recommend going to Angela's and Graham's place!
Matilda the duck is not as bad as the listing makes her look - she's a lovely duck and you'll feel very attached to her after a week. The routines to take care of the animals, such as giving two baths a day to Matilda, can take time, but are very rewarding.
Reggie the cat was wild until six months ago, but is now extremely well-behaved, and although he's shy in the morning, he will ask for cuddle-time and belly-rubs in the evenings!
The garden is beautiful - we were feeding the birds, squirrels, pond fish, visiting cats, and two foxes every day, and it was a daily joy: seeing these wild animals up close was such a blessing! There are cameras everywhere to be able to track their movements around the house. Socks the fox 🦊 ❤️ The garden is wonderful, with paths forming a beautiful maze, and it feels like being lost in fairyland.
Angela and Graham are amazing people, full of kindness, good humour, energy, intelligence, and we're glad we got to meet them - we're still in touch although we just stayed a week.
If it's not a bother for you, we recommend coming two days in advance, since there are lots of animal-feeding routines to learn about (but that's only if you're interested in feeding the wildlife).
