This was a weird sitter experience for us because, due to circumstances beyond anyone’s control, we hardly got to interact with them at all either before the trip or when we returned. We would have appreciated more communication both before and during the house sit, but they are both very personable and they left our house in tip-top condition .

A very enjoyable sit with Maryna’s two beautiful Tamaskans. Clear concise directions were provided and her contemporary home was comfortable and convenient. Intelligent and affectionate, Squall and Lyra are exceptional dogs, a credit to their owner.

Sitting for Dakota was such a pleasure! Bob and Jan were welcoming, communicative throughout, thoughtful with directions for Dakota’s care and their home, and really made me feel comfortable with all aspects of this sit. They are genuinely friendly people with a lovely, spacious home with comfortable guest rooms and bed, in a quiet neighborhood with friendly neighbors, beautiful private backyard and deck overlooking their pool, and location convenient to exploring much of New England. Newburyport is a cute town less than 20 minutes away, beaches about 20 minutes, close to Boston, etc. I was able to enjoy their pool as well my first week there in the tail end of summertime heat - perfection!

The highlight of my sit was spending time with this sweet, quiet soul of a dog. Dakota is gentle, easy, and just loves napping nearby. While our walks and play were limited because of her recovering from a surgery, she warmed up to me quickly, and was so easy with her routines. She definitely needed a little coaxing to get outside for walks, but once out the door, was easy to walk around the neighborhood. While a bit nervous during thunderstorms, she was fine with company and a fan/tv on to muffle the thunder noise. All in all, a really relaxing sit with a sweet natured, quiet, all around wonderful dog. If you get the opportunity to enjoy this home and Dakota’s company, you will not regret it.
I hope to visit again!

What a lovely house sit!

Zorro liked to go for long walks through the woods and everybody seemed to know him, so it was like walking with a famous person.

On occasion we would see one of the cats out in a field, hunting, and it was like seeing an old friend. Of course they didn't want to be bothered when they were working, but later in the evening they would come in and cuddle up next to us on the sofa.

Even though it was late in the season, the garden kept giving us raspberries and tomatoes and the neighbor kept encouraging us to take apples, which we did.

It was so so peaceful to see all the stars at night. Highly recommend you find yourself in Güssing if you are lucky enough - Dagmar is a great host and the house is comfortable. But be warned - you may get addicted to using the vacuum as we did.

Thanks Dagmar. You made our time in Austria worth remembering. :)

Thanks so much for having me, Joanna. You were so welcoming and generous (even some home-baked treats!!)
Was great to have everything for feeding Casper all laid out for me, and he is a lovely cat. Your apartment is very cozy and I appreciated that it is on a quiet street, but also has easy access on the city bus into the heart of town.
Was such an easy and relaxing housesit for me: Hanging out with Casper when he asked for affection, and going to the Southampton Boat Show.
I would highly recommend sitting house for Joanna.

I absolutely loved spending time in this gorgeous historic home with two wonderful, lovable pups Tupelo and Rhino! Tupe is practically a local celebrity and gets so much love and attention from the neighbors while we’re on our walks. Rhino is a gentle, sweet boy who just wants to cuddle. The two of them couldn’t have been better companions and adventurers while I explored the downtown historic district of Poughkeepsie. I would be happy to look after them again anytime <3

Jess was a welcoming host. She left us a bottle of wine which was very kind. She also reserved a lot of space in the fridge and freezer for us to keep our food. The location of the house was perfect for shopping daily essentials. Everything is within walking distance. The train station was just 5 mins walk which connected to London Bridge in 30 mins. Jess also had a very good support system if in case the sitters need help.

We can’t describe how much we have enjoyed staying with Ziggy. Ziggy was the most loving, cute and HANDSOME dog we have ever taken care of out of 60 dogs across 3 years of our pet sitting journey! He charmed us every single time when looking at him. We just loved him more and more every single day! He was a typical cocker spaniel who was very energetic and loved fetching. We loved spending time with him in the park and he has become our best friend! He pulled on the lead but luckily his special lead helped a lot. His size was small plus walking to the park was just 5-10 mins. So the pulling didn’t bother us. He was very easy going in terms of doing his business. Ziggy slept peacefully in his bed in the kitchen every night. Ziggy was such a sweetheart that we definitely will miss! We recommend this sit 100%!
