This is a fabulous housesit. Larissa and Chris are a wonderful young couple who warmly welcomed me into their home and put up with my endless stream of questions. They allowed me to come a day early and showed me all around the town, introduced me to some favourite places, and gave great recommendations. They are friendly, interesting, curious, and very adventurous. Communication with them was easy before, during and after my stay. Their comfortable home is in a great location, one block from Ipanema beach in a nice neighborhood full of shops, restaurants and bars. There are numerous busses and the subway is nearby, so public transport is easy. There are also many great places to walk. Rio is such an amazing place. There is so much to do and see that anyone coming here is almost guaranteed to enjoy this city. Finally there are the kitties, Chet and Pipi. Both are adorable, friendly, curious and playful cats. They require only routine care and will let you know what they need. In return, they provide hours of entertainment as they wrestle around together and chase one another or one of their toys. All in all, this is a wonderful house sit that I highly recommend. I would be happy to return anytime that our schedules align and I am offered the opportunity.
We had the most wonderful time looking after Mabel and Percy (although Percy is very independent). We actually fell in love with Mabel. She is such a calm and contented dog and loved coming out sightseeing with us. In the evenings she was happy to chill out on the sofa with us and watch tv or come out to the pub for dinner. Shane’s home is lovely and the setting is spectacular with amazing views from the doorstep and from the walking area behind her house. Shane was exceptionally hospitable and we had a lovely evening meal the night before Shane left, going over the needs of Mabel and Percy and how to use the appliances in the house (there is a comprehensive guide also available at the house). We had such a lovely time and hope to return soon, and particularly to see Mabel again. Thank you Shane.
We loved caring for Riley and Moe! Riley is gentle and sweet and we really enjoyed playing with her at the dog park where she ran after balls and enjoyed the company of other dogs. Moe is very loving and easygoing and we enjoyed when he came in for pets. Anu and Ganna were great with communication and their home is really lovely. It’s walkable to all kinds of places to eat and is very comfortable and stylish. This was our first official housesit through TH and we were really comfortable and pleased with how well everything worked out!
We loved staying at Liz and Richards house with their gorgeous friendly cats Fleur and Misty. The hosts are so kind and the house well equipped. If you have an opportunity to stay here I would definitely recommend taking it!
Melissa, Tim and family were very welcoming, it was great to meet before hand and have a tour of their lovely home, giving us all the tips and tricks for caring for Maisie. We had a brilliant week in her company, she is quite a character! Loves to flop on her belly and sit on any available lap. She is an early riser and will let you know when it’s breakfast time! All in all a fantastic pet sit!
Raquel told me first thing that the home in her profile was not where I would be staying because of renovations. Her temporary digs are really lovely and in a great location not too far from her home, in a beautiful and safe neighborhood. I appreciated her being very upfront with me about that change and about her cat Santana needing special care that was not originally part of the sit request due to him getting a minor injury right before my arrival. He had already been seen by the vet too. He did great and was such a sweetheart. The other cats are darlings as well. Communication was great throughout my stay, especially when I locked myself out in the backyard. 😆 I had a person to contact right nearby and was back inside very quickly. The neighborhood was perfect for walking out to get a bite at a restaurant or to a small store to pick up a couple of grocery items. The houses in the area are really unique and this made walking around all the more interesting. I really enjoyed my stay and would definitely stay with Stella, Davina, and Santana again for Raquel.
