We were happy to welcome Brock for his first sit, and he came by a week before since he lives 30 min away. We walked through the house guide and he met Zipper, so he felt well prepared to take care of everything for us while we were attending a boat show and doing a sit ourselves. We came home to a clean house, and a happy dog. Communication was good, and we received a daily update and photos. Overall Brock took good care of everything for us. The two star notes are around the fact that when we asked, near the end of the sit, if he had found the walking trail in the woods with Zipper, he said that our dog had explored the back yard, but had not taken him on any walks. Walks are important for the health of an older dog to keep his joints moving, and we relied on him for that. One walk a day was clearly outlined in the house guide and during our time together before the sit. After we were in touch about that, he did take Zipper for a daily walk. Brock asked us for feedback, which we shared with him. He is looking forward to continue his house sitting journey, so we're confident that this was just a first-time mistake. Brock is a friendly, confident person and we wish him well as he enjoys meeting new pets and their owners. Best wishes Brock for much success, Kim and Gary
Staying at Mary’s was wonderful. Her home is very comfortable with everything you need for a happy stay. The house is in a sweet cul-de-sac with direct access to The Downs for for gorgeous walks and views across the South Downs National Park. Django is very easy to care for. He enjoyed being around us and quietly slept on the bottom of the bed. His feeding routine is easy, he’s not that motivated by food but loves to be stroked and really enjoys lying on you on a blanket on the sofa. It’s a gentle 15 minute walk into Lewes for the amazing Depot ( (the community cinema), Waitrose, lots of independent shops, cafes and the river We used AllTrails app and found some wonderful walks along the river to Newhaven from Piddinghoe where we found an excellent fish and chip shop, up onto Telscombe Village for a wild windy hike, and locally over to Kingston and back along a purpose made walkway. I’d say this is the perfect sit for a restful happy stay. Ps and we enjoyed record collection!
Elliott is always communicative, and his dog - Maru, is truly an adorable canine companion! Maru demonstrates excellent manners, enjoys being around people, and takes pride in cleanliness. He's a kind and brave dog, even rushes over to check on me when I fall. While Maru may be a bit apprehensive about going outside, he absolutely loves walks in quiet parking lots. I had a fantastic time with Maru and wish him all the best! 🐾
We had the pleasure to sit for Robyn and Ben in their nice new home in Denver. Prior to the sit, we had a nice orientation with them. We were impressed by them, along with hearing of their professional music careers. The house was clean and offered good logistics to any place in Denver. Their cat, Mollie was a little shy at first. However, she quickly warmed up to us, and was a nice companion. Overall, a very nice sit for us.
Staying at Lisa's was awesome. Gus is the most chill cat that I've ever known. So sweet and easy going. The super location, the amazing windows, wonderful living space made for a great sit. You can walk to so many interesting places and public transporation is close by. Dozens of amazing restaurants are all within a few blocks. Lisa is a great communicator and I had everything I needed to have a great time. Hope that I can come back again!
Micki and Adam are incredibly kind and responsive hosts and their cats are also so sweet. Bear was super cuddly, Pontch also loving, and Otter very silly. Would definitely return to sit for them again!
We had such a relaxing and comfortable stay in Jacqui and Edward's lovely home. The view and surrounding countryside is beautiful. Jacqui was super easy to communicate with before and during the sit. She left helpful info detailing all that their pets needed and took the time to walk us through their routine when we arrived. They also welcomed us with a box of biscuits which we gratefully received! Des is a real character and followed us around, even out to feed the bunnies! Queenie and Bruno were also very friendly and our 6 year old really enjoyed giving them their morning veggies and watching them toss a ball. He was very sad to leave. So hopefully we'll get to come back some time.
