Eric is a wonderful sitter! I knew he would be great after I saw all of his 5 star reviews. When I first talked to him, Eric was very amiable, and asked all the right questions, which showed me that he had read through the listing and paid particular attention to the types of pets that we had and their particular quarks. Eric took the time to meet with me as needed before he came to the place. He was always happy to meet me at the times/days I requested. We had to catch a ferry and it was prebooked, Eric was very flexible and allowed for plenty of time to arrive at our home for us at arrive back so we did not have to worry about the dogs being alone. During his stay, Eric made sure that the dogs were walked and properly attended to. One of our dogs requires daily medication and Eric did a great job with that. One of our boys was a bit whiny during the stay and we had a chat about it, Eric solved the problem during his stay. One the day we came home, Eric offered to launder the sheet and towels which was a such a relief to me a I had so much to do when I got home. One of the best things that Eric did was take our dogs for one last walk right before we came home so that we did not have to attend to them after our long journey. When we got home, our house was clean, our dogs were happy and tired and we were extremely pleased. Be sure to book Eric if he enquires about your listing!

Jo
It’s been an absolute pleasure getting to know Jo and her amazing family. We will dine out on the orangutan’s birthing story for years to come! Nina is an absolute superstar - a huge personality for such a little dog, great fun on the beach and so warm and affectionate, going to sleep on our feet when we had to work. She had us giggling with her reaction to horses and cows (likes cows, not keen on horses) whether in real life or on the tv! Jersey is a wonderful island and Jo made us so welcome as to feel like family in their picture postcard home in a beautiful part of the island. It’s been a wonderful week, we had an absolute blast.

Anne
I loved staying at Anne and Nick’s place. It was an amazing experience that allowed me to visit old friends and family(I’m from Puerto Rico) while staying in one of the most historic and beautiful sites in the island.

Anne was super helpful and sweet, her friends and neighbors (Kirstie and Chelly) helped a ton when I had difficulty giving Winston the inhaler. I was eventually able to take care of it again myself at the end, but it took some learning.

Winston is a stunning looking, sweet futball that loves curiously starring at everything you’re doing. He has hilarious quirks and a high food motivation. This motivation to eat everything under the sun will be your key (next caretaker) to getting him to love you. He has some slight territorial tendencies and needs time to warm up to you (like most animals). I went in a bit too confident in giving him the inhaler as I first arrived and he wasn’t having it. After some time having Kirstie and Chelly coming by to give him the inhaler, he warmed up to me and would comfortably let me do it, as long as I led him to the sofa with a trail of treats. He would then sit next to me on the sofa and purr, at that point I slowly moved the inhaler towards his face and he would allow me about 10-13 seconds comfortably before moving away. Once that was figured out he was super easy to manage, his excitement to get fed every morning, his cartoony noises, and his company as I read and worked brightened my day.

Taking care of Ignacio was a completely different experience, as he prefers to keep to himself. If you’re lucky, you might see him playing in the dirt under the trees or numming on lettuce (from a distance). Somedays you’ll wonder if he’s even there as you stare at the pile of lettuce in the same way kids in jeeps stare at a goat waiting for a t-rex to show up. But when he does show up, it’s a hilarious viewing experience.

Dominic and Fay
We spent a lovely week staying at Dom and Fay’s beautiful home.
We stayed in the guest cottage, which has everything you could want for your stay
The area around their home is great, with lots of opportunities for walks or trips to Albi, Cordes-sur-Ciel etc
The main thing though about this sit are the pets. Millie, the black lab, is just gorgeous. She is so friendly and loving and really well behaved. Golly, after a quiet first day, was soon jumping on our laps and having a cuddle. The chickens are super easy to look after and provide a good supply of fresh eggs
We would definitely recommend this sit and would be more than happy to do it again (hopefully with a bit less rain next time!)
Thanks Dom and Fay

Sandra
Lily is just the most wonderful cat you could ever have the privilege to care for! The communication with Sandra was very good before and during the sit. She is a fab host who ensured we had everything we needed before she went away. The house was spotless when we arrived and overall was a lovely home to stay in. We already miss Lily dearly and would love to sit for her again in the future!

Nick
We had a great 10 days at Nick and Emma’s lovely home. Horace and Hamish were an absolute joy, providing us with much amusement when snuggling under their blankets! It was a pleasure to spend time with them. Special mention to the chickens who provided an endless supply of fresh eggs each day!
A most enjoyable sit, thank you both.

Debbie and Howard
A 5 star sit.
Beautiful home overlooking a golf course, one of several in this gated community.
Two amazing and loving dogs who enjoy their walks & play time and who obey
all commands.
Just like their humans!

A lovely community with abundant trees and walking trails, and close to the beautiful downtown area of Williamsburg. If shopping and dining are your thing, there are many choices.

Debbie &Howard are kind, considerate and generous. It feels like we have been good friends forever.

I look forward to being their trusted housesitter again when I am back in the US.
