Marla was absolutely wonderful with Toby. Of course, she was taken by his sweetness right away. Toby had/has been having issues with eating actual dog foos and I've been feeing him eggs, bacon, cheese and a little chicken (for the moment). I had prepared dinners and froze them and Marla was diligent in taking one at a time out to thaw in the 'fridge for the next day's dinner. Toby was able to go to his dog park every day at his favorite time and this was very important to both Toby and me. In addition, Marla did take him for an early morning walk in the neighborhood - even during a little rain. My house and plants and yard were in much the same condition as I left them, and that's a good thing (living in the hot desert, it's too easy to kill plants...). And she was amenable to a change in my return date (one day early).
