We had a fabulous time staying at Alice and Derek's place! They were so friendly and hospitable on our arrival and left clear instructions for looking after Coco. Coco is a very sweet old cat who requires medication, Alice left clear instructions and the feeding routine was very easy to follow. We loved sitting out in the garden with Coco soaking up the sun! The house is situated in a great location, with access to a semi-private lake. We loved swimming in there, admiring the local wildlife of dragonflies, swans, moorhens and kingfishers. There's a lovely circular walk around the lake too. We had a fantastic sit and we're already missing lovely Coco! We highly recommend Alice and Derek's place. Thanks again for having us!
We recently had the pleasure of looking after Ted, and it's safe to say that our time with him was nothing short of delightful. Ted quickly became an integral part of our daily routine, His playful antics and boundless energy were infectious, making every moment spent with him a cherished memory. Whether it was doing sprints and jogs with him to tire him out, leisurely walks in the park, or simply curling up on the couch for some downtime, Ted's company was a constant source of warmth and comfort. One of the standout qualities of Ted was his clinginess and affectionate nature (once he warms up to you). He effortlessly melted our hearts with his gentle demeanor and unconditional love. It's amazing how a dog, even in a short span of time, can leave a lasting impact on your life. Ted's presence was therapeutic, and the bond we formed with him was truly special. As we bid farewell to Ted, it's impossible not to feel a sense of gratitude for the joy he brought into our lives. While our time together was brief, the memories of Ted's playful antics and loving companionship will remain etched in our hearts. To anyone considering sitting for Ted, be prepared to welcome not just a dog but a true friend into your home. Marian and I agree that Ted was our best dog sit for our whole duration in THS, we miss him til' this very day. 10/10 stars for our Teddy
This was a wonderful pet sit with Baxter and Milo in Melbourne. This sweet pair stole my heart and were so friendly, laid back and loving, right from the beginning. Baxter will love to sleep with you, he slept with me every night and loves to snuggle up. The screened in patio is a favorite spot of Milo’s, and the fenced in back yard makes potty breaks with Baxter very easy throughout the day. Mary and Tom are such excellent hosts as well, and just a pleasure to talk to, some of the nicest people I’ve met! They were so kind and generous to treat me to their local theatre, which I greatly enjoyed. Melbourne is a lovely town and definitely worth a visit. I was also very appreciative that they hosted me the night before they left for their trip, making travel much easier for me and gave me time to step into their routine. Communication was excellent, and Mary was very easy to get in touch with, even while traveling. Their comfortable and spacious home is absolutely spotless, and it’s located in a quiet development with friendly neighbors who come out to chat with you. It’s close to shopping and in a great location for exploring the area, only 10-15 minutes away from the quaint downtown and the beaches. But my favorite part was just hanging out on the lovely patio overlooking the lake with Baxter and Milo next to me. Mary and Tom are a wonderful addition to our THS family, I highly recommend this pet sit if you find yourself on the Florida Space Coast!
Chiara is truly a lovely person, who left adequate instructions on how to care for Lola. Lola, a Maine Coon, is quite independent and a character, with a real personality. She was a little nervous and out of sorts for the first day, a natural reaction when her beloved owner is absent. We settled into a routine and I soon became familiar with what exactly Lola wanted and was rewarded with her purring, rolling around the floor and rubbing along my legs. Best wishes to Chiara, thank you for giving me the opportunity to care for Lola, it was a pleasure.
Tinkerbell by name, Tinkerbell by nature who I was lucky enough to spend an entire weekend with her in the picturesque Surrey Hills… a dream sit for sure. Full of beans from the start, Tinkerbell the most beautiful Cocker, was a joy to be with. She was delightful with incredible recall and so much fun to walk in the local woodlands. Even when she tore off out of sight, the call of her name brought her haring back to my side. The perfect woodland walk companion and the sheer joy on her face was enough for me to walk for miles. At bedtime she jumped up on the bed with me and didn’t move all night. Jonathon’s home is a quintessential English country cottage, full of character and extremely comfortable. I felt very at home immediately. Beautiful walks straight from the garden gate, a couple of pubs and a coffee shop, made for the perfect weekend. I also visited the local farm shop (5 mins by car) where I stocked up for the weekend with everything I needed, including wine. All in all a 5 star weekend. I had a great time housesitting for Lara and taking care of Moe & Lucy. Lucy was the sweetest cat ever - most cats meow because they want food, Lucy meows because she wants to cuddle :) Moe was a bit more reserved and decided to stay on his own for most of the time, occasionally though he broke character and was also pleased with receiving some cuddles :) In any case both Moe and Lucy are so well-behaved, taking care of them is just easy and fun. Also Lara provided two videos upfront about the cats and the apartment and also shared a very detailed welcome-guide and always replied promptly to any requests. The apartment was really clean and comfortable and super well-equipped and has a great view from the top-13th floor of the building. It is located in a nice and quiet residential area, where you have lot`s of shops and some restaurants nearby. And it`s just a ~20 minutes bus ride straight into the city center. I highly recommend this house sit!
