A great house with great pets! Jazzy is such a fun and obedient dog who loves to go on the many walking trails around the house. She is very chilled out and loves to hangout in the local pubs. Milly is a very affectionate cat who loves to cuddle and will let you know when she wants to go outside. All around, this was a great house sit and we would highly recommend it.
Everything about this was wonderful. I highly recommend the sit.
Evan and Jenna make sure that I arrived and settled in without any worry. I arrive late at night and was immediately able to settle in. We communicate on WhatsApp and if I have any queries I get answer almost immediately. Claudia has her very unique character, she loves food but can’t tell time. She usually settled down after her second meal and will wait until sun rise again. She loves to hang out next to you. Her favorite to do is follow you around the house or sit on the bin and watch you until lunch is served. During my stay she did not have any health issue but brushing her constantly doesn’t hurt to reduce hairball. Claudia is a very beautiful ginger cat and she has the cutest face that will melt your heart. Her little pat in the morning is also too cute to be mad at. The area is around 10min from the old quarter, and the building is gated and guarded. Lots of cafes/ shops just walking distance.
We have sitted Timmy and Poppy for two weeks in Summer! First of all, Poppy and Timmy are super adorable and the house and Haarlem are stunning. It’s a beautiful old house located at one of the most picturesque canals of Haarlem. Poppy and Timmy are literally best friends and it’s adorable to see how much they love each other and how much they are able to fight each other (in play) about any toy you decide to hand out to them. It’s too cute when Poppy bites Timmys “tail” during play. They both are used to sleeping in bed with their “parents” so we followed the same routine. Poppy is a cuddler while Timmy just finds himself a comfortable spot somewhere on the bed and dozes off. One thing to note about the two is that they do not have a very set digestion routine. That means they don’t do their business at specific times of the day (like during walks or in the morning, at noon or in the evening) but it could happen at any time. So you need to always keep in mind that they may have to go out. Unfortunately they don’t always go out by themselves and also don’t “tell” you that they need to go out. So we started taking them out many times a day and always kept the backyard open for them to step out, but still mishaps have happened here and there which needed to be cleaned up afterwards. Overall we loved spending time with them and loved our time in Haarlem in general. What a beautiful town. Also Michael Shaun and Alex have been super friendly and very helpful with tips about Haarlem. On top they have made us on our arrival date one of the best Carbonara we have eaten outside Italy. We can fully recommend staying with them. Thank you Michael Shaun and Alex :)
We enjoyed looking after Abby’s home and Rodney the cat. Rodney was extremely easy to look after! He’s a sweet boy, very chill and liked to sleep on the bed with us. He also loved the sunny days out in the garden hanging out with the chirpy robin. Abby was great with communication and gave us clear instructions of how to look after Rods and quirks about her home. She was also just a quick message away if we had any questions. Abby’s home was perfect for our short stay. We enjoyed the super king bed, the beautiful back garden and great dining space so we could work on our laptops. Also heaps of different tv options available too! Claygate was also a nice place to explore - cafes, shops and some good walks in the forest. Also 5 mins walk to the train station! Thanks for choosing us Abby!
The housesit we've done for Yves and Sarah was a great experience. Lovely cottage with great views. Close drive to nearby towns. The cats - Koekie and Salva were absolutely adorable. Although they need some time to get used to, in the end they enjoyed cuddles. Also, Yves and Sarah, suggested us the best local spots to explore and enjoy. Would recommend housesitting for Yves and Sarah.
