I enjoyed my stay at Benjamin's apartment looking after his 2 cats. Benjamin was very communicative before, during and after the sit. He was available throughout his vacation if I had any questions or concerns. His apartment is large and in a modern condominium. The area is accessible to many restaurants within 10-20 min walk, or a 15 min transit. The grocery store is within walking distance. Benjamin left clear and specific instructions for me for the boys, Griffith and Pumpkin Guts. You gotta love the names. The boys have their own characteristics and they were very amusing to watch when they play (zooming around the play tunnels, or when I use the cat toys with them), and they are so adorable when you see them loving each other...they sleep together, all snuggled up in a small bed, but they make it work. The only small issue is the cats are very food driven, and love their wet food. So they can go a little nuts over that, and you have to be careful as Pumpkin Guts claws at the cupboard below, and if you stand too close to the cupboard above where their food is kept, he will sometimes get so excited he turns to look at you and claws at your thighs. I learned that the first day and steered clear of the cupboard, as in, distanced myself from the cupboard so I am not within reach of his claws. I also resorted to dish out their wet food (which they have only in the morning) in another room all together. That way I have it all ready and simply walk back to the kitchen and place their dishes down and they don't bother me while I am getting it ready. Both of them have very sharp nails, and that's because Benjamin has been busy and he knows the cats don't like getting their nails cut, but after my reports of how sharp their nails are and how many times they got me, Benjamin is definitely going to remedy that situation and cut their nails more often. Griffith gets you when you are playing with them, and it's only because he thinks you hand is part of the game when I adjust one of the tunnels or tents. He swipes up at my hand and got me a couple of times. He is so fast I didn't see him coming. So it's a matter of getting to know their habits. But they are very sweet and entertaining for sure. I would gladly watch Benjamin's apartment and his boys again if the opportunity arises. Especially when I know Benjamin is going to keep their nails cut, lol. If you have the chance to sit for Benjamin's place and his cats, jump on it. His place is very central and easy to walk around.
Super convenient to everything downtown Raleigh has to offer. We ate delicious food, visited fabulous museums and played in many area parks. George, Leo and Maude were incredibly welcoming. My kids are still talking about their super soft ears!! We were happy to share our Raleigh adventure with such friendly pups :-) Thank you, Gail, for your hospitality, we are grateful for you.
After many five star sits, I would absolutely NOT recommend this sit to anyone. Nicolette is someone who puts on a good show of being nice, but is incredibly mean-spirted and cruel. If anything happens during your time housesitting that she doesn't "approve" of she will she show her true colors, just like her cat. Nicolette contacted us in October to ask if we would like to house/catsit over the New Year. I said we would but that my husband had to work so I would come alone with my two young kids. I asked her if her home was kid friendly and she said yes ( as she didn't have any pics of her actual apartment posted, just a few of her cat). When we arrived, I told her my kids had gotten up very early to take the metro, a 5 hour bus ride from Barcelona, the tram to her home, only to get lost and end up waiting at a gas station to take a taxi. I explained to Nicolette that I needed to get them some lunch and put my 4 year old down for a nap. Nicolette didn't seem to pick up to social cues too well and while I had a whingey pre-schooler on my hip looked annoyed that she was being interrupted while explaining her apartment. While in the kitchen, her cat Napo hissed at the boys for just being there. She explained to give Napo some space so she didn't scratch the boys. As we walked around the apartment I noticed there were many fragile things a younger child could bump into (glass pots everywhere, glass trinkets, etc). Nicolette suggested we take a walk, despite me implying I needed to tend to my younger child, but since she didn't seem to get it, we went with her. On the way out my neurodivergent four year old threw a bag of chips on the ground. Instead of offering to help she just looked at us horrified as I swept it up (gasp- the horror of a hungry 4 year old having a temper tantrum after a long day of travel. What a terrible child). We parted ways and began our sit. We sent Nicolette videos of us trying to give Napo treats, pictures, and updates on the sit. On the last night, while my older son was sleeping, he rolled off the bed and hit the ceramic plant pot which was on a low side table. It broke. I texted her to apologize, but I could tell from her response she was upset. I saw the price tag and website as I was cleaning it up and left her the amount of money for the pot as I couldn't find it on the website. Accidents happen and anyone who leaves ceramic flower pots next to where a kid sleeps is lacking common sense. Her cat also constantly hissed at us despite our best efforts. We were calm and quiet in her apartment and attempted to get Napo to warm up to us, but all she did was show her teeth. As we were leaving Nicolette thanked us for housesitting. I did the same but mentioned, in a very nice and cordial way that she may want to reconsider calling this sit "family friendly" as her cat didn't seem to do well with young kids and her house had a lot of potential for something getting damaged. I told her I wouldn't want to see her cat scratch a kid. I was trying to give her, in a very nice way, my thoughts. Instead of taking it at face value, she wrote me back an incredibly nasty message calling my kids uncontrollable and insinuating what brats they were who " we're not up to the task of taking care of her cat" and "thank god they didn't destroy her apartment more". It's a shame I can't attach the WhatsApp messages she sent me, they are absolutely disgusting. I'm not sure how anyone can be so out of touch with children and judge them so horridly on a 15 minute interaction with them. Nicolette clearly knew she wasn't going to get much interest in this sit considering the dates.Instead of being upfront about her home and cat not being family friendly, she invited us because she needed someone, and then when my kids didn't fit her idea of perfection she turned the tables to blame us for ridiculous things. I would avoid this sit at all costs. The only thing sadder than a 4 year old having a temper tantrum, is a nearly 40 year old behaving even worse.
This sit was wonderful! Leah and James were excellent hosts. They gave me plenty of notice of their travel plans and were very communicative throughout, despite being in a completely different time zone. They made sure all of my questions were answered and Leah even went through a checklist when I arrived, covering all the need-to-knows of the apartment. The place itself is very nice, well-located, and has everything you could need or want. It's a safe building and surprisingly quiet despite being on a busy street. Hank is an absolute angel who stole my heart. He is such an easygoing pup with lots of energy but extremely well-behaved. This dog makes friends wherever he goes, greeting people and dogs alike, with the dog park being a favorite spot. His adorable snubby face draws a lot of attention and people were always stopping to admire him. Hank is also great on-leash and will wait patiently at lights, other stops, and even for permission before he eats. He likes to play tug-of-war and will be very happy to show you his toys which he is very gentle with. Hank is such a joy to be around and easy to take care of. I will definitely miss him. I loved this sit and hope to return in the future!
Diana made me feel welcome even before we had arrived. Their home is beautiful and well appointed. Ellie is a sweet and smart girl. House sitting for this family was a lovely experience. I would be happy to do it again.
We had such a fantastic time! Guido and Marie's place is a small slice of Tuscan paradise - cosy, comfy, with everything you need. Their three dogs are absolutely lovely with such diverse characters - Brownie was shy and took a few days to warm up to us, Ubuntu was well-mannered and very affectionate, and Spotz was full of energy and always wagged his tail so hard, he looked like he was dancing. Spotz was a bit of a handful when taking out for a walk, but he always came back to the house eventually. :) The nearby town also has everything you'd need, a supermarket with endless choices of pasta, and nice bars and shops littered around. Highly recommended!

Tracy and her husband took care of my cat for 5 days, and he absolutely loved them! He normally doesn’t like strangers, but he seemed to warm up to Tracy from the first day, and he was very happy to see her every day! It definitely allowed me to relax knowing he was being taken care with such great care!
Tracy looked after my cat and rabbits while we were away for 10 days. It was not ideal timing because we had builders there while we were away and my cat is very wary of strangers at the best of times. Although Tracy didn’t see my cat every day she reassured me that he had been coming in for food every night. She also did a brilliant temporary repair job for me when one of my rabbit homes developed a hole in the bottom of it. She kept in regular contact and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her.
We have two female cats with very different personalities and like any pet owner, we are anxious that they are fed, watered and cared for while we are away. We could not be happier with the service provided at such short notice. Our two elderly cats absolutely love Tracy. Sadie, our eldest at 18 with failing kidneys is a hard nut to crack and very hard to please but the daily photos showed us that she was very happy in Tracy's company, along with Jinx, who has suffered with separation anxiety previously. She took the time to come and visit and introduce herself to the cats prior to starting to care for them. We have booked again as they have been so well looked after.
Having Tracy to look after our Maine Coon kittens for a week meant that we could go on holiday without worrying about them. We had daily video updates to show all the strokes and attention they were getting! And they were bright eyed and bushy tailed happy kitties when we got home :) We would recommend Maccy G Pets without hesitation!
It was the first time we used Maccy G and they were fantastic We went away for a week and Diane was absolutely wonderful. Our cat Archie is very shy but Diane was so patient and managed to help him overcome his shyness and I could see from the photos she sent that he looked so happy and content. It took away all our worries about leaving him. They are wonderful and we will always ask them to look after Archie when we go away. We really would recommend them. 😀
Tracy is a very experienced and trustworthy person who has a real gift/talent in looking after pets. Everything from pre-visit to regular updates whilst on holiday was brilliant. The pets were extremely well cared for and we didn’t have to worry at all whilst away. We would highly recommend this pet sitting service.
We booked Tracey to come twice a day for 5 days, to feed our 2 cats, while we were away. She came to visit before hand and meet them, the paperwork was quick and easy to complete and as she'd already looked after other family member's pets, we didn't have any concerns about the care she'd provide. She wanted to keep their routines as similar to normal as possible and was happy to spend time with them on her visits, brush them, play with them etc. Turns out, as our cats are total wimps, they didn't want to spend much time getting to know her, but Tracey made sure we knew they were safe by contacting us with photos or video of them when she popped in. Although this is her business and it would potentially reduce her profit, Tracey offered to cut back from two to one visit per day, due the cats having access to inside and outside space and eating dried food. We did take her up on this and saved ourselves a few pounds - thanks Tracey. Our cats, Percy and Archie, would not have coped well in a cattery, so this was a great option. Although they were probably a little miffed with us going away, they were both fed and watered and happy to see us in our return. Photo of Archie who was pretty illusive while we were away.
Had a fabulous experience with Tracy looking after my two turtles. You can tell she cares greatly about keeping animals safe, happy and healthy and wants to learn about their personalities. I felt super comfortable leaving my turtles in her care, she sent me daily updates with photos which really put my mind at ease while I was away! 💚 Cheap and friendly service that I will be using again!

Simon and Brogan were always brilliant. Any time we didn't need them throughout lockdown they didn't charge us, but were always happy to take my dog for a good and proper walk. She slept for hours when she got back and always got sent great pictures of her being silly and playing with other dogs. Fun had by all

Jo provides a wonderful doggy daycare for our little cockerpoo. We were so worried about our puppy going somewhere when he was still young but Jo really cares and you can see how well looked after he is. Our dog has grown in confidence since attending and literally jumps with joy when he is collected for daycare and often tries to go back with Jo when dropped off! He always comes home tired from the stimulation and we can tell he has had a good day. Jo is very flexible and tries to help work around our rotas to provide care on the days needed. We are so pleased we found Jo!
Jo has looked after our dog Reggie for walks and daycare sessions regularly since last year. We know how much fun he has playing with other dogs in daycare and running around on group walks, he runs out the door with such excitement when she comes to collect him! Her being able to offer collecting and drop off is also really helpful particularly when we had been needing daycare or walks due to work commitments. Jo has always been friendly and professional and flexible with booking sessions. Highly recommend Poocheria, we feel lucky to have found her.
We started using poochrea a couple of months ago for our cocker spaniel puppy Sienna. She started at 4 months old which was a little scary, as she was so young but sienna has settled in so so well! Jo always puts us at ease by sending photos and updates each time she’s with her. You can see Jo really does care for Sienna like she’s her own. It’s such a relief to have found someone as amazing as Jo to care for our little girl. Sienna is always super excited when Jo picks her up and she then sleeps for the rest of the afternoon until we get home from work. Jo always replies to messages promptly and is willing to fit her in at short notice and swap days around which is great with work/holiday. We first met Jo about 8 months ago when we wanted daycare for our first puppy. Melody got on really well with Jo and the other dogs right from day 1. Fast forward to today, she absolutely loves going to Jo, she waits for her at the door and really looks forward to her day filled with treats, walks, cuddles and play with Jo and her doggy friends! Couldn’t recommend Poocheria enough!
We have been Poocheria for doggy day care once a week since July Our house move got accelerated and we had to find somewhere with short notice and Jo was incredibly helpful in arranging to pop over and meet us to discuss ours and Maggies needs. She has been super flexible with changing dates here and there and always responsive to messages etc The best part is the convenience, we leave for work knowing Maggie will get collected and looked after and then dropped back before we arrive home. On top of that pricing feels extremely good value. Maggie always looks forward to seeing Jo (we can see how excited she is every week on the doorbell camera!) and is absolutely knackered when we get home! I would recommend Jo and Poocheria for all your pet care needs!

It’s so comforting when you find a dog walker you can trust with your best friend and we have found that with Poocheria. Jo is so accommodating and reliable we always receive a professional and quick reply when booking and it’s so reassuring to receive the odd photo and feedback. My dog Pip looks forward to her walks and is so happily exhausted when she comes back, which is the best testimony I can receive. Jo has been fantastic with our puppy Jenny who's been going to daycare now for about four months. Jen is a pointer mix with loads of energy. When there's lots going on around her she finds it difficult to settle and can be easily over stimulated/excitable. Jo and her daughter weren't phased by her puppy behaviour and have gone above and beyond to help Jen settle into daycare. Their experience with spaniels undoubtedly helps. They even reinforce the training that we're doing with her. I can't thank them enough for the care they provide. We couldn't do it without them!

I’ve seen firsthand how wonderful Jo is with all of the lovely animals she looks after. She understands their individual characters and they get affection, attention and they’re entertained the whole time. I’ve seen dogs who don’t want to walk begin to run and jump and express new found joy after a few days. Definitely worth taking your pooch to Poocheria.
The best cattery in the South Norfolk area. The lady is just lovely & I trust her with my cat explicitly. The pens are heated & there's scratching posts and beds in all of them. Each pen is immaculately clean. She's so thoughtful & there's a small room at the back of each pen with a bench so the cats can feel safe in tbeir beds underneath until they're settled in. She's thought of everything!!
Alfie loves coming on holiday here. He's walked twice a day given plenty of fuss and has his own warm cosy space for sleeping with his own ensuite outside. Would always recommend this hotel for dogs

We have been using Whistlers for quite a few years with our labradoodle and always recommend Whistlers to our family and friends so thought I would extend our recommendations online. Being new to the area of Taverham and my girls previous lovely dog walker not covering Taverham, I nervously hunted around for a new dog walker. My girls are Romanian rescues, that have their quirks and very different personalities. I contacted Danielle at Good Dog Pet Care Services and explained what I was looking for and what the girls walking requirements would be. Danielle instantly reassured me in answering all my many questions and I felt at ease when Danielle offered to do some ‘getting to know them’ visits. It was great to see how the girls took to Danielle and how patient, kind and calm she was. The girls now greet Danielle with delight as they know that they are in safe hands and happily go off on a walk with her. The pup updates and photos are a pleasure to receive too. So glad we found you. Our dog walker Tim has been brilliant with walking our nervous rescue dog, taking things at her pace and letting us know how she's getting on, they are now best pals! We really value the excellent communication and updates, and the online portal makes it really easy to schedule walks and make payments. Would 100% recommend.
I cannot recommend this service enough. Without Tim, I wouldn't have been able to continue at my job after I had some situation changes. My dog Obi is pretty nervous but took to Tim instantly, and the walks have been an absolute lifeline, meaning that Obi gets to have adventures in different places and with different dogs than I would take him with. Tim is fantastic with communication, always lets me know when he's going to pick Obi up and gives me an update if there have been any issues or unusual behavior. The 'pupdates' are super cute, to the point where I use his pictures when people ask what my dog looks like! :') The rates are great, and they also do weekends! (for a higher fee which is totally justified and I have no issue with) I contacted so many companies before finding this one that just didn't do weekends at all and you had to have a set day every week, the service is the most flexible out of any Norwich provider I could find which has been essential as a shift worker. I only use the dog walks but they provide loads of different services which you can book/cancel/edit online and then view in a calendar. I trust Tim 100% and am so grateful to have found such an excellent dog walker. They really care about the dogs and it shows. 10/10 would recommend to anyone.
Good Dog Pet Care are incredibly reliable, kind, and professional: - They are considerate and flexible to my (ever changing) schedule, have always been 100% reliable - Staff are extremely natural and kind to my dog - I employed Danielle as she has a degree in pet care showing hard work/dedication. Our rescue dog has behavioral issues and Danielle has gone above and beyond with support and advise to help us - The company have meet-ups so you can get to know them better if you wish - They also give text updates after they visit your pet which is great when I'm at work!
Helen was amazing caring for our young pup while we had to go to work. She was very reassuring and we knew both the dog and the house were in safe hands. We were delighted with our dog- sitter, Saskia, who looked after our black lab, Rufus, whilst we attended an afternoon event. She has a great time playing with the other dogs and is always snuggled up fast asleep when I pick her up. There are great dog facilities - space to run, games to play and a dog proofed caravan for the dogs to get out of the bad weather if the day is miserable. They understand our dogs needs and make sure that as a puppy she doesn't get overworked as she's still growing. The Horseshoes has become our pups home away from home, I couldn't imagine trusting anyone else or anywhere she could possibly be happier to go to for what now refer to as playgroup :)
Amazing! My dog Phoebe absolutely loves it here and is so well looked after, I am so happy that I have discovered the horseshoes - I wouldn't take Phoebe anywhere else. She has so much fun with the other dogs and it is great to hear all about her day when I pick her up. Would highly reccomend - absolutely amazing place and people who clearly are passionate about the dogs they look after.
Absolutely amazing! We've been taking our Ziggy to the horseshoes for a few months now and I can honestly say he has the time of his life. Once he arrives he cannot wait to get in and involved! Caroline and Dave are lovely and take such good care of him. So glad to of found the Horseshoes daycare I wouldn't go anywhere else!
Absolutely fabulous! The team at Horseshoes are wonderful. My dog comes home from Doggy day care so happy and contented. The team are so caring and I feel so happy knowing that my boy is taken care of so well. He is now happily snoring after after another wonderful day with his doggy pals. Thank you Horseshoes!
Just moved to the area and have been looking for kennels for my 2 beagles. Called to try and make a booking and was told no we can't take them we're fully booked for the rest of the year! Sorry but I don't believe that. Not at all friendly or helpful.
We used Horseshoes to look after our dog for a couple of days whilst on holiday and he had a great time and was kept safe.
