Ashley would be welcome to sit again! Meeting her before my trip totally put me at ease as I was confident that she’d do a great job looking after everything. She had the kind of questions for me as we were going over everything that showed she understood cats well and would be a conscientious sitter. While I was out she checked in regularly, and the pictures she sent proved that even my shy little cat felt good about the arrangement too!
Lisa was very accommodating and easy to contact. House was in a great location where you can explore the island but also access markets and restaurants. Broly is very cute and energize I had so much fun with him
Bailey is such a lovely, friendly boy! I had the best week looking after him. Martina is also a generous and kind host. The home is very comfortable and easy access to public transport. Thank you for a great week ☺️
Clarification: We left a feedback soon after completing our sit, however for unknown reasons, it did not appear on the TrustedHousesitters' feedback section. Helen and David had informed us that Bella and Peaches, the two cats were somewhat shy. That was an understatement, as even when we knew they were eating their food, we did not see them often, especially Bella who decided it would be better to live outside than with these two strangers, and despite us leaving food on the window sill and an open window as an invitation to come in, she had other plans. Peaches on the other side, stayed indoors but had been hiding, and when we finally found her, we noticed she had a big, slightly bloody injury on her back side. We were not able to reach the homeowners, emergency contacts, or the 4 vets in the city so we took her to the closest animal hospital in Salem and were recommended to leave her overnight for surgery. We picked her up the next morning and drove back home with medication and instructions. Thankfully Peaches was a good patient and after the medical care ended, she came to us for scratching, petting or when she wanted to just sit while we read. Additionally, every morning a family of deer came into the backyard and ate apples we had left for them, as the beautiful birds ate from the various feeders. Sitting here was delightful! The lovely house was ~1 block from the ocean. David had loaned his fishing gear to Henry and so he caught his first ever salmon which he prepared - it was just delicious! We went to the beach, walked some trails, watched whales’ migration and visited wineries and nearby towns. We were very relaxed and loved sitting for Bella and Peaches!
This was a great pet sit. Sandy was a fun dog to hang out with. Her humans were very communicative and super nice. Their home is lovely, comfortable and well appointed. I highly recommend this pet sit and would sit again if the opportunity arose.
We had a marvellous time with Sunny in Vivs cosy house. Viv explained everything and we where always in good contact. Old Princess Sunny is a sweet and impressive charakter and we became good friends at the first moment. Vielen Dank für die schöne Zeit.
We had the pleasure of staying at Chris and Caroline’s beautiful home and take care of their two sweet kitties, Hobbes and Harrison. Their house is located in a serene and quiet neighborhood with easy access to Denver’s best. Hobbes and Harrison are very easy to take care of and we truly enjoyed their company, snuggling with Hobbes (sometimes Harrison would kindly join us too) and playing with them both. We appreciated how clean Chris and Caroline left the house for us. They even treated us for breakfast before they left. We had excellent communication with them throughout our stay and we are happy we had the chance to get to know them and hear about their journey. They also left us very clear and thorough instructions for as to how to take care of Hobbes and Harrison and maintain the house that were very easy to follow. We would love to come back anytime and highly recommend to anyone to pet sit for them!
