Housesitting for Helen and taking care of Inca, Percy, Flo, and Celeste was a dream! People as kind, thoughtful, and considerate as Helen and her friends and family in Sandon are hard to find! Everything with the animals' care was explained to me so I was comfortable and confident and I had a great time carrying for such sweet animals. The house, property, and town are so picturesque. I spent my time reading in the beautiful atrium, taking long walks with the dogs in the countryside, and cooking in their beautiful kitchen. If you have the lucky chance to housesit for Helen you really should!
Sitting for Teresa was a total pleasure in every way, one of my favorite sits I’ve done! Teresa just has great energy, to start, and really made me feel comfortable at our first visit, even though Monkey needed to warm up a bit! Monkey is an easy one to watch, super fun and playful, runs into friends in the street a lot which was nice. The place is super convenient to everything, including muni, and has a great office to work from as well. Highly recommend this sit if you’re lucky enough to be able to do it!
We were very fortunate to have the chance to sit for Dara and Gar. They provided us with everything we needed and more. Everything exceeded our expectations both in their tasteful home and in the magic of Patzcuaro. Dara and Gar are coolest people in town, they went out of their way to introduce us to the local community, we made new friends that were eager to help us newcomers. The people in Patzcuaro are welcoming and made us feel a part of the local crowd. It is sort of a Utopia there, different from the outside world, lacking pretense and embellishment. We enjoyed every day thoroughly.
We recently had the pleasure of sitting for Elaine and Keith, and it was an absolute delight! Not only are they wonderful people, but they also have the most adorable fur-family: Doug, Anchor, Kritty Krat, and Mao-Mao. The house itself was very clean, well-maintained, and in a great location. We had everything we needed for a relaxing and enjoyable stay. Elaine and Keith made the whole experience incredibly smooth. They left detailed instructions for each pet, including their routines, preferences, and any quirks. They were also incredibly responsive and available to answer any questions we had throughout our stay. Doug is a playful and cuddly pug, he was a joy to be around, super chill. Anchor is a more energetic pug and is really snuggly. Both boys like to nap after their meal and are good bed companions at night. Mao-Mao may have taken a little while to warm up, but we eventually earned some purrs. Kritty Krat kept us entertained with her antics and will talk to you letting you know if she wants fed or in/out.. Overall, sitting for Elaine and Keith was a positive and rewarding experience. We hope to sit for them again.
We had the pleasure of looking after Shadow for 5 days. Such a lovely kitty, who accepted us as Temporary Cat Staff with little fuss and soon had us trained for several brushings a day which she encouraged and loved. Jody and Steve have a lovely clean and well organized house and were instantly responsive to any questions we had. We would not hesitate to return and can highly recommended for those fortunate to be invited to Shadow Sit.
Nao made my sit very welcoming and was great at communicating with me any questions I had. Moo was also a sweetheart and made for a very nice stay!
