What a wonderful place to housesit. A gorgeous house and lifestyle property and the animals are so lovely and easy to look after. Heather and Steve gave me great instructions and everything was well organised to make my stay easy.
Ruth’s home is lovely and spacious in a serene environment. The instructions about the home and care for her beloved kitties were detailed and easy to follow. Ruth was very hospitable and easy to communicate with before, during and after the sit. The kitties were easy to care for. Lovey and Elsie stayed close to me when they were inside which gave me the opportunity to give them lots of affection. Cassie was a bit more shy and watched me from a comfortable distance. I recommend this sit 😻
Staying at Ineke's place was very relaxing and pleasant. Her adorable cats are shy and extremely sweet, well behaving. They got into cuddling mood the second day, making our stay a joy. Everything is organized perfectly for feeding them, with separate and ingenious systems. Ineke's apartment is fantastic, full of light and comfortable, well equipped, in a new residential area of Copenhagen by the water, very quiet and safe. She made everything very easy for us, we would love to sit her cats again!
We had a wonderful time at Helen and Adrian's place in Exmouth. They were very hospitable hosts, leaving us some provisions (including welcome drinks) to start our stay. Their communication before,during and after our sit was excellent. We were given a detailed information pack about the house, clear instructions on the care of their chickens (lots of fresh eggs to enjoy too), and ideas on places to visit locally (plenty of pictureque villages, coast and countryside locations). Helen and Adrian have a beautiful 'upside down' home, with the upper floor lounge and living area providing wonderful views out over the town and estuary. It was especially lovely to watch the sunset over the river. We would have no hesitation in recommending this house as an excellent location with kind and considerate hosts
Wow! That is how I felt when I stepped inside this beautiful designer home, elegant but not pretentious. Upon entering I was greeted by a friendly orange tabby that was oh! ....So affectionate. (I had no idea that he would be such great company.) Skitty was with me so many times during my sit, never a nuisance, always willing to share in the experience. 1. In the morning when I ate my breakfast overlooking an idyllic private backyard and pond area. 2. Snuggling with me on the outdoor hammock under the pergola vine structure. I’ve never seen a cat jump up on a hammock and lay with a practical stranger, but he did! 3. Joining me on my yoga mat out on the lanai each morning. 4. Laying nearby when I sat in the Adirondack chairs outside as I sketched the nature landscape. 5. Keeping me company at night outside when I sat with my glass of wine or a cup of tea and we listen to nature while gazing up at the starry sky. Stars were everywhere! 6. Daily we watched the “water” shows which included wood ducks, a great egret, a great blue heron (who spent hours every day fishing just 30 feet from where we sat), a little blue heron, a wood stork, a belted Kingfisher (that was very protective of his fishing area), and on my last morning and anhinga (who had just caught his morning breakfast in front of us). Carey’s home is located in a safe, comfortable sidewalk neighborhood. (I walked 3 miles every morning.) There’s easy access to shopping and grocery stores nearby; many I would walk to. Museums and a few art galleries topped my list along with upscale shopping on Park Avenue and all within a 10 minute drive. This was the most enjoyable four days I have had in all of 2020. I felt like I was on a special elite holiday vacation. Carey was the most accommodating host, providing all information that was necessary and helping me with wonderful suggestions while I was staying in the area. I couldn’t ask for one more thing during my sit, only to come back another time. It was PURR-fect!!
This was our first sit on this platform, and we couldn’t have asked for a better first experience. Buddy was a little shy at first but within a few minutes of being softly spoken to he relaxed and ventured out from his sunny spot under the table to meet us. From then on he enjoyed plenty of cuddles, belly rubs and sitting in our laps for a snuggle and pat. He loved his walks so much! We were sad to say goodbye to Buddy, we will miss him! Therese and Ross are very kind and welcoming people and their communication was great, they were easy to reach if we ended up having any questions. Their home is in a good location and was clean, tidy and very comfortable. We had everything we needed, plus more than expected. A great first experience and we would be happy to sit for them again any time. Thanks for a fantastic first experience on THS.
