My dog can be sassy, especially when he gets pet. He’s a 120lb super fit Rottweiler so sassy can be bad. The staff at this kennel respected his boundaries and he did great with them. On top of that, my boy got sick during the stay. I lost my phone during my trip but they still got a hold of me and let me know what was up. They took care of him and fixed the problem AND communicated with me despite me making that difficult. 1000% recommend this kennel. I had to use them as a backup in an emergency but they’re now going to be my first choice.

Great staff, great kennel. My dog has some moderate behavioral issues and this is the only kennel I trust to watch her. They really seem to love her too!

This place is amazing. I would never take a dog anywhere else. Booking is super easy. Changing a booking is super easy. The prices are very reasonable. Every dog gets its own run. Betsy (the owner) is one of the kindest people I have ever met. Charlton Kennels is simply the best!

the thought of boarding my dog has scared me and in his 8 years of life he’s never been boarded, he’s gone everywhere with us and traveled the country but this christmas we had something come up and we couldn’t take him with us. i put in A LOT of time and effort researching and calling places within a 30 mile radius of me. no one was hitting the standards i was looking for except charlton kennels, such an amazing loving staff!!!! my dog ended up with some bad separation anxiety being away from us for the first time and rubbed his nose raw the staff kept me updated on him and did everything they could to make him comfortable and they treated his poor nose! i called everyday and emailed they never ounce seemed upset in the slightest on me constantly checking in! if i where to ever need to board my boy again it will be here. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!❤️ thank you charlton kennels for taking such good care of petey!

Charlton kennels was recommended to us by a family member. We boarded our dog here for 10 days without issue. The staff is friendly and the rates are fair. When we go on vacation again we plan on using them again.

After we completed their paperwork where we specifically included that our dog is reactive and fearful when being bathed, Charlton Kennels got upset with us over the fact that our dog nipped at their groomer during a bath. I'm not sure how this was our fault when we gave them (on their own paperwork) and also not sure they they didn't take the normal precautions for bathing a fearful dog (such as a muzzle). It would be great if they protected their staff by reviewing their own required paperwork.

My dog was boarded here for 4-5 years and her quality of care was always excellent. She was excited to go see her friends and get a puppy massage. My dog always came home happy and ready to be a couch potato. If any concerns or questions arose the owner and staff were polite and helpful.

Knowing that this beautiful kennel takes excellent care of my dogs helps me enjoy my vacation. I've boarded them 4-5 times at Charlton Kennels and every time I pick them up they seem to have had a great time. In fact, they are less crazy-happy to see me than I expect them to be when I pick them up them -- but I believe that only means that their stay was comfortable and fun. There is pretty much nothing more important to me than the well-being of my pets and I am really thankful to have such a great place to take them to.

I have been taking my dogs to Charlton for over 20 years. I have never had one complaint about how they care for our animals. The dogs are always happy and healthy when we pick them up. The staff at Charlton truly care about the mission of caring for beloved family pets. They treat the dogs as if they were their animals. They are always friendly and accommodating with the pets owners as well. This has always been a family run business and they have mastered the art of pet care. 5+ stars!!

I would like to begin this review by saying our German Shepherds have gone to Charlton Kennels for five years, without incident. However, when we picked up our 12 year old female, Britta, after an eight day stay there in September, we had to say good-bye and euthanize her at 9:00pm that same night. When we picked her up late morning, her smell was horrendous and we were told they did not feel she was a good candidate for kenneling anymore because she had become incontinent during her stay. We learned that afternoon during a doctor exam that Britta had a tumor on her urethra that had blocked her bladder evacuation and caused her bladder to grow inordinately in size. "There is not enough pain medication to relieve the pain she is in," our vet told us. We could not have saved her life, but with a phone call from Charlton Kennels we would have come home immediately to avoid our sweet baby having to endure that pain for all those days. So, if you take your older dogs to Charlton, beware. The employees are gracious, but totally unqualified to determine the condition of their charges and the owner was derelict in her responsibility to contact the owners about the condition of their beloved pet.

We highly recommend Ginger Matyas for pet walking and sitting services! For the past couple of years, Ginger has cared for our beloved 12-year-old Labrador, Cash. It's clear how much Cash adores Ginger through her enthusiastic greetings her upon arrival. We are particularly grateful for Ginger's attentive care, especially with Cash's recent health issues. Ginger is the best! I have 2 cats, one of them needs medications once a day. She is so loving and caring with them, and they love the "catnip parties". Having the peace of mind that they are well cared for while I'm out is priceless. I strongly recommend her services.

Ginger watched our dog Ellie, which is no small feat. Ellie is an extremely active cattle dog who demands activity. Ginger was up to the task and they fell in love with each other. Ginger is so caring and kind with animals it is really a beautiful sight to see. She really connects with all animals. Ellie was happy and well cared for and we have used Ginger numerous times since then. Ginger is the BEST!!

I want to give a huge shout out to Ginger Matyas. We have been using her to watch our two kitties in Manzanita for a few years. Ginger is a true gem! She takes great care of our kitties and lavishes them with attention. She takes and sends the best photos too! Your fur babies will love her!

Ginger is absolutely wonderful! She loves cats and knows how to give them exactly the attention they need while we're away. Our cat is very shy but Ginger was patient with him and now he comes out to play with her, which is very rare for him. She has also given us great advice and resources. She's prompt, kind, communicative, and great with cats. Couldn't recommend her more highly!

Ginger is the absolute best! She goes above and beyond for not only our cat, but for us and our home as well. We receive updates every visit which keeps us at ease, as we have an extremely shy boy. He finally opened up to her, which is a testament to her knowledge, skills and patience - now he loves when she stops by! I knew my cat would be well taken care of after meeting Ginger. She is fantastic at what she does and is truly passionate about taking care of fur babies. I can’t recommend Ginger enough. All I can say is WOW - Ginger was amazing with my 2 cats when I had to go out of town. I am new to Portland and was nervous about finding someone to have come watch my cats for me in my home while I took my first trip out of town. I now have no qualms about future trips because I know my cats will be in great hands with Ginger and her team every time. She brought over toys and played with them and sent pictures/videos every day which was so great. I would 1000% recommend Ginger to anyone needing to find someone to trust their fur babies with!

Ginger has been taking care of my two cats for over two years and she is great! I have an 18 year old cat with early kidney disease and an 8 year old who is frightened of everything after being rescued by firefighters when my condo building had a fire in 2017. Ginger is patient with him and eventually gets him to come out from under my bed covers. My older cat just loves her and climbs all over her. During my last two week trip she came twice a day as it’s important for my older cat to eat regularly. She updated me with photos and videos, easing my anxiety at leaving them for so long. I totally recommend Ginger.

If you're looking for an alternative to the impersonal experience of using an app to find a random pet sitter - I can't recommend Leave It To Shoo! highly enough. She's easy to set up with (just 1 short visit to determine pet needs) and very communicative while you're away - provides daily updates and pictures of your pets. (Examples pictured) My pets were loved and taken care of by Shoo while I was away - and that's all than you can ask for!

We have had the best experience possible with Leave it to Shoo for the past 3 years. It is such peace of mind to know that our cat is being so well taken care of while we are away. Shoo has the key to our home on a permanent basis; we trust her implicitly. She always either answers her phone or gets back right away when we need to book her. She never has a problem working us into her schedule. Shoo brings in the mail, makes sure the house is secure, and always leaves a note and extra food and water for our cat on the last day. The litter box and surrounding area are kept immaculate. We can tell that Olaf has had a great time while we are gone because he is not vocal or clinging when we get back! They play together and Shoo gives him lots of love. We have no hesitation recommending Leave it to Shoo for in-home pet care!

Sharon was absolutely wonderful with all our animals (fish, parrot, cats, dog)! She sent us daily pictures and updates on how everybody was doing while my family was absent, and communicated very quickly and competently in handling a prickly situation with our not-too-friendly dog. She reads animal behavior very well, is very responsible and resourceful, and we highly recommend her services.

Shoo's been our go-to cat sitter for several years and has been great! She sends daily updates with pictures and keeps our plants alive as well. She is super reliable and responds very quickly. We'll definitely continue using her services for years to come!

Sharon is amazing! I recently moved to the area and, on a short notice, had to find a pet-sitter for my dog and a cat for a few days. Sharon took such a good care of them! My dog can be a little mischievous, so Sharon even built "a fort", so my dog wouldn't get to the cat's stuff. When I got back, pets looked happy and well taken care of. Sharon kept in touch me regularly, informing on how everything is. She definitely does more than just pet-sitting - she even texted me to make sure I landed ok and am safe on the way home. Thank you, Sharon! We just love you!

Sharon is an excellent pet sitter. Sharon pet sat for a week. She took special care of my kitty (a cancer survivor) who needed daily medication. In addition she took care of 2 other cats, and 2 rabbits. Daily she texted me with an update and made helpful suggestions. When I got home, the kitchen was spotless and the animals well cared for. I would use her again.

Shoo is very professional, gives attention to detail, and is a very caring provider for animals. Along with myself, several family members have also used her services. We have known Shoo even before she went into this business, and we trust her completely with our home and animals.

We boarded our young (under 1 year) Australian Sheppard here over the Christmas holiday. Wendy was very hands on in making sure that he would be a good fit as he was a bit younger than they usually take. Right away this made us feel good, as we knew they were very serious about this experience. There is plenty of space for the dogs to exercise and socialize with the other dogs. Will absolutely be boarding here again!

My girl started off a timid rescue. Wet Noses has been amazing! They have really helped her to find her confidence with other dogs and people. They are great at communicating, sending emails when vaccines are due, info on the dog exhibiting sickness or other issues. My dogs looks forward to her days at Wet Noses, whining with excitement when we pull into the parking lot. I recommend them to everyone!

Wet Noses and Wagging Tails is awesome! I take my two dogs there every week and they always come back happy and tired. Staff is very friendly and flexible with drop off times. We have been using wet Noses for multiple years, for both weekly daycare and boarding. The staff is amazing and truly care about your dogs. Both dogs are excited eveytime we pull up and exhausted when we pick them up. We have and will continue to recommend. They are AMAZING!!!!

This was Buddy’s first time going to doggy daycare so we were kinda nervous about how it might go. Buddy is a very high energy Aussie so we were concerned that he might be too much. Our concerns were for naught. Employees at Wet Noses & Wagging Tails are well experienced with high energy dogs and were actually excited to meet Buddy. Buddy had a great time and the best part was, he was totally exhausted! 😆

Our dog Cooper absolutely loves WNWT. He gets so excited he starts barking as soon as we turn onto the road leading to it. It is reassuring when your pet is so excited about being left at doggy daycare. He’s never responded that way to anywhere else we’ve ever taken him. He comes home tired and happy every time! We just started taking Sadie to daycare and boarding and she loves it. She is so excited to go for either the day or a sleepover. The staff is absolutely wonderful with dogs. I mean look at the grin Sadie has, that says it all. She’s one happy dog!

This review is long overdue. My spoiled princess has been going to Wet Noses for some time now and I sometimes think she may love them more than she loves me. Our dog, Maddie, has been attending doggie day care since she was a pup. We love the time she spends at WNWT knowing she is loved and is safe interacting with her buddies and the friendly staff.

The best thing that could have happened to us and for our pup Regal is finding Wet Noses & Wagging Tails! From day 1, the staff has been just awesome! Her 1st day of school at just 4 months old all the staff really took care to nurture her timid personality. Regal completely feels at home there now and all the staffers have been so kind watching her grow up. W just LOVE that she can stay in doors with her friends when wet and cold out or outside on nice dry days. It has helped her so much in learning to socialize and more importantly to get her very much needed exercise fix. She just loves it, can't wait to rush in to her pals and when the day is done strolls out nice and tuckered out from a long day's play. Thank you so much WN & WT!!

We were so nervous taking our (also nervous) dog to daycare and boarding for the first time. Our fears were quickly averted - they are helpful, friendly, and above all they love the dogs! I appreciated the extensive vet checklist and the fact that every dog goes through a temperament test before being admitted into the facility. It makes me feel like my dog is safe around all the other dogs. Love the photos and updates, couldn't be happier with the service.

We used a Dog Gone Good Place for playcare and boarding for over 12 years for our 2 golden retrievers until they passed and for the past 6 years for a golden retriever and border collie mix. They do a great job providing quality care and pay attention to details when boarding. Lynn and her staff are great and we appreciate their friendly service over the many years. Highly recommend!

All my beautiful hair got shaved off :( Update: His hair has still not grown back. When I brought my animal here to have him groomed, I specifically asked not to cut his hair. When I received him back I was told that the groomer just decided to go ahead and give him a fade cut. This is caused a lower quality of life for him due to his inability to properly regulate body temperature. It is appalling that you hire an employee groomers that don't understand types of dog hair. I took him to the professional groomer that had been grooming him the rest of his entire life and she was appalled at how horrible his hair looked and how damaged it now is.

100%, without a shadow of a doubt, the BEST doggy daycare I could’ve ever asked for. Every time I drive into the parking lot in the morning, the audible excitement my dog expresses when he sees where he’s going says it all. The owner, staff and their system is amazing. They’re extremely communicative and knowledgeable. I’ve often asked them for advice and every time they deliver. You won’t be disappointed with them. “A Dog Gone Good Place” is a truly fitting name, it’s the best. Thank You!

Attempted to bring my 6month old puppy. The lobby here can be chaotic, two unleashed dogs ran in while I'm checking in and both agreed aggressive to my pup. This place may be fine, but from my perspective it seems like chaos and outreach mentality rules and they just let them be crazy. I am taking my business to a day care that offers balanced care and legitimate socializing, not just chaos.

Our dog has gone here for years and we love it. She is in daycare but we also board her when we travel. They take very good care of her. She comes home tired, which is good for a husky. Staff is great, drop off and pick up are efficient. They also have grooming services, which is very convenient. Highly recommend if you are looking for daycare or boarding.

We have our golden doodle groomed every 8 weeks. He always looks great, smells good, and is ready on time.

Windy and her team helped us with our puppy for the entire first year. They started off walking her twice a day and then to once a day. They update you with heart melting pictures so I could show them off to my colleagues. They carried over all the leash training and immediately notified us if anything seemed odd. We couldn't have done the first year without them. And our puppy loved every minute of it. I definitely recommend their services.

I was very anxious about going on a planned vacation due to my 18 year old cat who is on many meds when my neighbor recommended Windy. Windy was so calm and asked just the right questions when I met her that I felt a huge sense of relief. During my vacation she regularly sent updates and photos and did such a great job with both of my cats. I highly recommend her company!

Windy is extremely professional and reliable, and has assisted our two dogs with walks for several years now. She has adapted to our changing circumstances, and welcomes new challenges with understanding and kindness. I've been a client of BellyRub for nearly two years, and I highly recommend them to anyone looking for the kindest, most reliable, friendly, and affordable pet care. I have a shy and very sweet cat that needed sitting whenever I traveled, both for weekends away, as well as up to two week trips, and BellyRubs always provided the best care. The owner, who provided my cat care each and every time, understood that my cat needed time to adjust before she would be comfortable around her, and did so with great patience. Due to her careful efforts, my cat grew to enjoy her company, and was always well adjusted and healthy when I returned from trips. She even noticed when my cat had an unexpected health issue while I was away, and worked with me early and late in the day to provide her with care that resolved the issue almost immediately. I received regular photo text message updates on how my cat was doing at home while I traveled, and I always came home to a friendly note about my cat's time while I was away. She went above and beyond to help me in a pinch, and was always helpful and courteous. She has excellent attention to detail, and a strong understanding of cat behavior and needs. I could not recommend BellyRub Pet Services higher, and am very grateful for the care they provide.

BellyRub is wonderful!!! Windy was more than helpful when we moved to Portland. Our sitter was very friendly and very informative. She sent pictures every visit. I felt very good about the service they were providing. My cat handled our leaving for vacation (right after we moved) wonderfully because our sitter treated him so well. I HIGHLY recommend them.

Windy at BellyRub has been tending to my dogs since September 2013, when I brought home an eight week old Lab puppy brother to my three year old Lab. She has been great to work with, following direction well, and being flexible when needed. If I need an extra visit or decide to cancel because I'm working from home, I always receive a "no problem!". She goes above and beyond, noticing when something is off and asking me about it then fixing it if needed. She also checks on my ducks and chickens to make sure they have access to water if it's cold or hot outside. I know my dogs really enjoy having her!

Windy with Bellyrub Pet Services is the best, hands down. I have a 150 lb puppy that can be a handful, and he means the world to me. Windy is the only other person I trust to care for him. She is pleasant, flexible, dependable, and highly professional. No matter what my pup throws at Windy, she knows exactly what to do and always keeps me in the loop. I only wish everybody could be as good at what they do as Windy is. She is a true professional.

Windy took care of my girls quite a bit over the past couple years, and they loved her. Be it when I was out of town for several days straight, or stopping in a couple days a week when I had long days at work, I loved knowing that my girls would be well taken care of and that they looked forward to their visits with Windy. I am sad that we recently moved to deep SE Portland and are out of the BellyRub service area, but you can bet that if we move back to North Portland Windy will be one of the first people I contact!

When I adopted two small terriers from a rescue organization I knew I was going to need someone special to help me with their care. After contacts with several pet services in the area I chose to go with Windy at BellyRub because of her professionalism. She immediately understood the issues associated with rescue animals and displayed patience and kindness towards Wilbur and Daisy. She also was able to set limits on their impulsive and somewhat unpredictable behaviors, helping them to be come more confident and well behaved. In addition when Windy comes to the house she always checks things over such as their water and toys, as well as a time or two has cleaned up after an accident. I have grown to depend on BellyRub to take excellent care of my pups and they show nothing but love and excitement when she comes to the house. A dog’s hide-a-way is the perfect place for a safe and healthy outdoor environment for your pup. Dogs run free through woods and streams, and some easy obstacles for their exercise and mental stimulation. There are always plenty of humans in the vicinity of the dogs to insure the safety of the pups. They are a very professional and caring staff. If you want a safe and healthy outdoor environment for your dog, this is the place for you. Our family likes A Dog’s hide-a-way better than the indoor and crated experience of other day care businesses.

This was our first time leaving our family dog Mochi for boarding care, so we were a little bit nervous about it at first. But after meeting the kind staff, seeing the location in person, and having flexible boarding options made us feel so comfortable and at ease. Mochi had such a good time and we cannot express how happy we were knowing she was in such great hands! We also really appreciated all the updates that we received. We cannot wait to continue to bring her here!

We recently moved. My poor dog has had the worst separation anxiety. I couldn’t go anywhere without him. But it was getting to my mental health as well. We are only on day 2, but this has been a godsend. He is sleeping through the night. He's not clinging to me. He is finding peace. I am finding peace knowing that he is being taken care of when i'm working. I could cry just talking about the relief this place has given our little family. Update: we are on week 2. He was an escape artist. And I thought they would kick him out. But they actually found ways to keep him safe. And he is doing so good! And when we are home, he is getting more independent. I can’t thank these people enough. This place deserves 10 stars!!!

AMAZING! The property is great, lots of opportunity for running, climbing, and playing in the creek. The staff is super friendly and engaged with all of the dogs, and I love that they post tons of pics and videos on the Instagram page. They are super responsive to text messages, and often include a photo update!

We highly recommend A Dog's Hide-A-Way for both doggie daycare and boarding! We've been taking our dog here for a few years, and she absolutely adores the staff. We know she's in good hands here. The vast outdoor space allows her to run to her heart's content and the indoor areas are great for extreme weather days.

I can't think Karen and her staff enough for having our dog Mali for 3 days. From the meet and greet, to the staff, to knowing that Mali would be safe. She was able to sleep inside and I know she had fun, because she came home exhausted. I would not hesitate to board your pup here, it was an excellent experience from start to finish. The best doggy daycare in town! This place is truly special. With more space to run around and play than a dog could dream of and the nicest owners/staff. Gary and Karen truly care about the well being of the dogs and go above and beyond for them. My little Barry goes there for daycare and I’ve boarded him as well. They’re so generous with their home, allowing him to sleep in the house and cuddle when he’s anxious. I cannot recommend this place enough! Your pups will be in great hands at A Dog’s Hide-A-Way.

My dog loves attending daycare and comes home sooo tired. The staff is friendly and easy to get a hold of if I have questions and they consistently update their IG daily, which I love because I get to see what my girl is up to. I haven’t utilized their boarding services but have had such a great experience with daycare that I plan on boarding in the near future. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a fun environment for their dog!

This is a great place for your dog (s). Pristine clean asphalt paths over 5 acres with fun and engaging things for your pup to do. Whether it be always supervised swimming in the creek or pond, climbing over large logs, crossing over a fun bridge complete with a tunnel, digging in dedicated areas, your dog will never be bored! When you pick up your dog they will sleep for days because they are so tired! There's even a large dog washing tub to bathe your dog when they leave.

If my dog Maggie could write this review, she would say that A Dog's Hide-a-way is her favorite place in the world. She loves going to play for a day and staying overnight. She thinks Gary and Karen could not possibly have done a better job creating the ultimate daycare and boarding for dogs. And all her human friends who work there deserve huge kisses. So thankful to have discovered this place!

Wendy saved us during our vacation to visit our kids. We brought our dog, but he and our son's dog didn't hit it off. She was able to take our dog in on very short notice, and he had a blast. She is so kind, helpful. She helped save our trip. Kristi McDonald

I can’t say enough good things about Petlandia!! Wendy and Nate are so patient with my nervous pup, Roo. They are amazing about checking in; both throughout the day while he’s at daycare and weekly just to bring up occasional behavioral/health concerns. They both obviously care so much about each individual pup, and tailor their care for each dog’s needs! The Petlandia set up is so fun, and highly enriching for an adventurous pup. We only use their daycare services, but they also offer boarding/daily walks which I’m sure we will look into for future needs too! Grace and Roo 🩵 Petlandia!

We were so nervous about leaving our puppy, other dog, and two bunnies for a week over the thanksgiving holiday. We had Bailey come house/pet sit for us, and could not have been happier! I have used Wendy’s services for both daycare and overnight care and I cannot say enough great things about her! I have a bit of an anxious pup who doesn’t really like playing with other dogs and has separation anxiety. Wendy has done so much to go out of her way to make my dog feel comfortable and cared for. It's not easy to leave your dog when you know she is anxious but Wendy makes it so much easier with frequent texts and photos and by being so gentle and accommodating!

Now we have Oakley, a much younger and more energetic head strong girl who is so very well cared for by Wendy and Bailey. They have so much patience and insight into dog behavior. They use positive skills to coach our little one even when she doesn't want to be coached. Consummate professionals, they leave the dog and home in excellent condition with clear communication and frequent photos to let us know how our sweet one is doing when we can't be home with her.

Petlandia Pet Care is legit just the best. I’ve been working with them for 8-ish years and they’ve consistently been professional, communicative, and helpful. Additionally, words truly limit me in expressing my appreciation for their flexibility now, and especially during the pandemic, as my work schedule was unpredictable and changed constantly. When I adopted my Abbey girl, she was super beat up and had clearly experienced some trauma. Now my sweet girl is an arthritic senior pup, who continues to enjoy her unconditional love and pets and walks and treats with the folks from Petlandia. Thank you for all that you’ve done and continue to do for our pibbs!

Petlandia is wonderful! I have a pit bull/ heeler mix who often has issues with new people. Wendy took the time to get to know her and she is now officially on my dog's best friend list. I feel so much better leaving for work each day knowing that Wendy will be there to work with my dog. She is professional and a true animal lover. I highly recommend her and Petlandia. We love Wendy and Petlandia Pet Care! I am so happy we found Wendy to take care of our pups when we are out of town. Wendy clearly loves dogs and she always takes such good care of our two pups. She is very responsive to messages and is flexible with scheduling. She sends us pictures and keeps us updated on how our pups are doing when they stay with her. Our dog was anxious the first time we dropped her off, and Wendy spent extra time with her and helped her feel comfortable. Our dogs love to stay with Wendy and we have peace of mind when we travel that our pups are being well cared for.

Petlandia is awesome! Wendy is awesome! I did daycare at Petlandia with 2 Shetland Sheepdogs and a Shih tzu. One of my shelties was very shy and scared of new things and people. Wendy worked with Tori and formed a bond with her very quickly. My Shih tzu loved the whole area to explore and play with other pups! She always had the best time. Hunter my older sheltie found his comfy spot and napped. My pups had a week stay with Wendy at Petlandia. I trust and love Wendy like no other dog care person!

I have been a client of Petlandia Pet Care for many years and can’t say enough good things about their dog-walking service. They are reliable, and respectful. The communication is excellent and most importantly, my dogs love them and go bananas when they come over. I feel absolutely safe having them come into my home when I am not there and I rely on them to take good care of my dogs. Highly recommended.

Susie's is absolutely amazing! Our Kono loves it there! Everyone there is so sweet and take such wonderful care of our little princess. Drop off and pick up is easy and smooth. She was excited to see us but didn't want to leave either! I highly recommend Susie's I'd give a 10 if I could!

I'd never boarded my dogs before. I always had house sitters. I tried Susie's and I was pleased. My dogs seemed happy when I picked them up and didn't smell. When I took them back the second time they seemed happy to be there, so obviously no hard feelings from before. The folks were easy to work with and the check in, check out process was smooth. Nice job folks!

I was helping friends while they were on vacation in Greece. I had to pick up and drop off Barnum, their dog, several times. The staff that work here are so wonderful. You can tell right away how much they love all the pets. I would definitely recommend Susie's and if I had a pet I would not take it anywhere else. You guys are the best.

If I were a dog, I would want my owner to board me at Susie's. Joking aside, I've used Susie's to look after my 3 dogs many times over the last couple of years and have had a consistently excellent experience. I have no doubt how much the people who work there love animals, it shows, and it gives me total peace of mind leaving my boys with them. Additionally, they are wonderful people, kind and helpful. I cannot recommend them enough.

This is the only boarding facility where I wasn’t worried about the well-being of my 3 pups while I was away. Adorable and thought setup. Friendly owner. Extra clean facility. Fair prices. The only kennel we’ll use in Vancouver. Make sure you book early- they are popular and space is hard to come by!

I NEVER leave my dog! However I had to board him for several days & I'm so fortunate a friend told me about Susie's. Welcoming, clean, wonderful staff, excellent care of my baby and reasonably priced. Years ago I had a bad experience leaving my dog so I am very critical of any facility. Susie's ticks all the boxes. You can safely entrust your fur baby to their care.

Susie is a fantastic trainer and she runs an excellent, clean facility that cares about you and your dogs. We have had to leave town fairly frequently and Susie has been dependable, her staff is friendly, the drop-off process is thoughtful and clear. I can't say enough about the facility itself; it has a great vibe. It's welcoming and professional. I know my pets are safe. We feel so very fortunate to have Susie and her team to care for our pets when life takes us out of town. Would recommend, thank you.

Mary Ellen takes the best care of my dogs, so much that the youngest would happily stay there forever. Great pick up/drop off process. Excellent communication and scheduling is easy, daycare or boarding. So glad to have stumbled across her place years ago!

My husband, myself and our pup just moved to the SE area and we were stressing on finding a doggy daycare. We both work all day and didn’t want our pup to be home alone; he has a lot of anxiety & especially separation anxiety. We found Mary Ellen’s daycare and immediately she sounded like a good fit. We’ve been taking our pup to her for about a month now and it’s been going great! We were really concerned that his anxiety would be an issue and that maybe it’d be a bit much for Mary Ellen, but she quickly dispelled those fears. She’s been working with our pup and helping him adjust to the new routine and has been incredibly kind and patient. We’re so grateful to have found Mary Ellen ☺️☺️☺️

We LOVE Wag Along! Our pup has been going there for a while for daycare and comes home happy and exhausted. We've also boarded her there and had a great experience. Mary Ellen is knowledgeable, flexible and reliable, and it is such a great spot for our pup to spend some time each week! Our girl can be a little nervous to leave us (she grew up during pandemic stay-home orders), but warmed right up to going! I know how much she loves it by her excitement when we pull in for drop off & at the end of the day, she usually doesn't want to leave! We consider Wag Along her second family and highly recommend them for boarding or daycare :)

I feel grateful to have found this day care/boarding location for my pup! I’ve brought my pup there for day care and I’ve boarded her for as long as 5 days. My dog always leaves happy and tired from playing with all the other wonderful dogs. I trust that Mary Ellen keeps a watchful eye over all of the dogs while they are under her care. Mary Ellen is excellent at communicating with me and I feel 100% comfortable leaving my puppy there. I would highly recommend!

Mary Ellen is the best. We always leave our dog with her when we're away and have been doing so since 2016. As soon as we pull up outside her house, she starts whimpering to get out and join her friends. Mary Ellen has two dogs of her own, Margaux and Rou, both wonderful golden retrievers who our dog adores. They're kind of like benevolent older siblings to her. I often think our dog has a better time than we do — home away from home!

I took my anxious 1 year old puppy to Wag Along to try to help with her separation anxiety and socialization. Mary Ellen took extra good care of her and within a few weeks Bootsy was more confident and well behaved and she loves going to see Mary Ellen and to play with the other dogs. I appreciate how very easy drop off and pick up is, and that my pup is still clean at the end of the day. Mary Ellen is kind, responsible and the price is right.

We’ve taken our energetic 1.5 year old heeler Sylvie here since the beginning of the year, been a very positive experience. Space-wise it’s essentially a house & yard, rather than the typical warehouse type areas of other doggy daycares. We appreciate the fact that the owner, Mary Ellen, has been doing this a long time and is very hands-on – it’s good to know our pup’s with someone experienced & who really cares about both the animals & how things are run. She’s flexible and the whole process has been super easy. Price is pretty standard. Our dog is fairly high strung and at first she had a lot of anxiety about being left there. But after a little while she got over it, now it’s fun to watch her excitedly run to Mary Ellen & all her doggy friends in the morning. I think the daycare has actually helped out her maturation process. Mary Ellen sends video clips and/or photos during the day showing them playing & lounging around, which is fun for a doting dog parent like me. The pup comes home happy & tired. We just do part-time right now - to socialize Sylvie & keep her company while the humans work, also to create a familiarity in case we ever have to board her there sometime for travel. Highly recommended.

We love having our Sully with Mary Ellen. We never worry about him when he’s there. We use daycare and board with her when we are out of town. He is always excited to see her and she takes such good care of the pups in her care. Recommend her 110%.

Mary Ellen takes such good care of my baby, I never worry at all when she’s there. My dog was super timid before she started going about a year ago and now she’s so happy to go see her friends each time. Mary Ellen watches a nice variety of sizes and breeds, so she’s exposed to all kinds of dogs, which is helpful for the real world. I literally don’t know what I would do without her. We love Wag Along!

Mary Ellen is amazing, I’ve been trusting her with my dog for a while now. I recently used her for boarding, and she went above and beyond when taking care of my dog. I had to drop off my dog right after being injured and Marry Ellen took her with out hesitating. She gave her her meds and cared for her like I would have. She even sent me frequent updates and pictures to help ease my anxiety. I truly don’t think you will find a more caring pet sitter in the Portland area!
