Elisabeth was a great Housesitter. She gave us updates on our cats comings and goings and kitty was happy and content when we got home. Our house was spotless and yard was in great shape too. Would easily ask her to sit for us again.
This was my first sit so was unsure what to expect but Alan and Dianne made me feel welcome from the beginning and kept in touch through out my stay as needed. Absolutely beautiful home and garden, so peaceful! Sarge and Lola were delightful company. Sarge is bigger than the dogs I am used to so I was interested to see how that would be, but once I met him, I was fine, is so loving and funny! Little Lola is a princess, so gentle and tail wagging all the time. They have their routine and everything went smoothly. I had a really lovely relaxing time. :)
This is a perfect sit. Nancy and Jess’s house is lovely. It’s tasteful and spotless and close to everything. I fell in love with this town. If you want to explore Michigan beaches it is a perfect home base. I went to a new beach three different days and still didn’t get to them all. There is every chain restaurant available but also tons of quality local choices. Olive could not be any sweeter. She is a breeze to care for and so easy to love. I highly recommend this sit.

It is very difficult to put into words the emotions one feels as a Trusted Housesitter, especially when you have not met the owners of the house , and in this case , the tiny precious little pets. Hence, when Gareth and I caught first sight of these two little souls , peering through the glass hall door into the kitchen, we were both really touched. Gareth , my son at 6ft 5 is a big guy , so his reaction , of course was to say " aw Bless them ! They are so tiny " And they were ! just little scraps of furry life. We did not need to go to Pantomime ! Olive and Oscar provided all the fun.... scrambling up onto the curtain poles, shooting around at top speed, wrestling with each other , launching ambushes on each other and then, collapsing on top of us on the couch, snoring their little heads off. Annabel had been a fastidious correspondent. Everything we needed to know was detailed and she had forgotten nothing pertinent to the kittens 'care. Haslemere is a gorgeous little place. Big enough to have everything one needs ( M and S literally a stroll over a little stream and through a small play park ) but small enough to feel safe and friendly . I always enjoy hearing the sound of children in parks , and you could do so as they were on Christmas holidays while we were there. Annabel and Steve's home is spotless and has every moden comfort you would need . Lashings of hot water , heating that was efficient and massive comfortable , clean beds. Throughout the sit, I ws delighted to hear that the family were all enjoying their break away, even though they knew that they would miss their furry members. All in all, this was quite an emotional sit , and we left with lumps in our throats as we said goodbye , but, hopefully, we will see these superstars again, take care of yourselves, Wilma
Julie was a great host— kind and communicative and her home was so clean and comfortable. I had some of the best sleep there, I even asked what mattress brand she owns—it’s that good 😅. The cherry on top is Boone! He’s such a loving guy, just follows you around and loves getting petted and loved on. Really nice, uncomplicated sit—I would recommend anytime!
If you get a chance to housesit for James and Maggie don’t hesitate. They are very welcoming and generous hosts who made sure we had everything we needed and clear instructions on how to care for their fabulous home and garden. They made us a lovely dinner the night we arrived and spent time going through the house and gardens so we felt at home. We have looked after many dogs having housesit for over 10 years and Tango and Nero are the best behaved dogs we have looked after. They are lovely to spend time with and will love you forever if you throw them a few tennis balls. The house and garden are magnificent a real oasis and a real joy to be in and care for. Garden maintenance was easy as James broke the routine down to one or two actions each day. James and Maggie helped us out when we had a problem pre our arrival trying to hire a car (useful to have if you want to take day trips). They put us in touch with the local Campoverde Car hire company which we highly recommend. Apart from being very well priced (including the waiver fee) they make it hassle free. They can organise transfer pick up from Alicante and so if you don’t want to hire a car you can use them as a car service. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at this sit and making new friends of James, Maggie, Tango and Nero.
