Nancy was lovely, as was her home. Great communication. Miguel was very easy to care for amd very entertaining. He spoke and played with his toys. He likes to be talked to and whistled to. A real joy! I'd sit again for him anytime.
We had a very pleasant short stay with Kyte and Mr B at Highcliffe. They are lovely, well behaved dogs and the house is very comfortable with nice country walks close by. Audrey communicated well and was very welcoming. We would definitely return.
Our initial introduction to Natalie and Mickey, her schnoodle, was through a Zoom call. They were both so sweet and when we arrived, extremely accommodating. Mickey was a bit nervous and barked a bit to keep us at a distance. But after an hour he was following us everywhere around the house. The home was comfortable and had everything we needed. On our third day there we had an electrical outage due to a bad snowstorm which we endured for one day. Because of the severity of the storm, no heat and the icy road conditions Natalie‘s mother Tina, being that she was also on vacation with her daughter, invited us to stay at her home until the roads were clear. Mickey and I had become extremely bonded. His sweet nature and playfulness was so engaging and joyful. We played ball, hide and seek, and spent our days and evenings by the gas fire at her mom‘s home, which was very cozy. When we returned to Natalie‘s home a few days later, water was rushing into two of the bedrooms through the wall due to burst pipes. Surveying the situation we realized if we hadn’t shown up when we did, the whole first floor would’ve been flooded. Natalie called her neighbor, Jeff and he came over and shut the water off at the mains in the street. His knowledge of what to do during an ice storm was immeasurable and we couldn’t thank him enough. Throughout all of this drama Mickey was easy and absolutely no problem at all - in fact, he brought quite a bit of levity to a rather dire situation. He was his happy self all the way through this debacle. Because of the care and concern Natalie and her mom Tina gave us, we now feel like family. My husband and I are looking forward to going back and having a dinner evening with the two of them and of course the star of the show, Mickey. And of course, anytime they need us we will be there.
Penny was a wonderful and sweet dog! I wish i could have taken care of her even longer. She got along great with my dog. Alex was a wonderful host and his townhome was a relaxing place to stay.
This was a wonderful sit! Leslie's home is very well-cared for and super comfortable. Rock Hall is a sweet small town, and I had access to everything I needed or wanted within a short drive. The next town over (Chestertown) has some excellent shops and an excellent Saturday farmer's market. I enjoyed the quietness of the area - seeing geese and deer outside the kitchen window, and all the birds enjoying the feeders in the back yard. Peaches and Lucy are such sweet and easy-going kitties. They are very self-sufficient during the day (only needing the door opened for a few outdoor visits), and they both enjoy a little lap time every night. I highly recommend this sit!
Sean and Piper were so great - they walked us through everything clearly, were fast to answer questions and just nice people. And Ru is such a loving kitty - our favorite shoulder cat! We also had fun watching the plants and aquarium. Their home is very close to downtown Oakland - great location!
